My eyes widened in fear as I finally saw my mother with my own two eyes. I thought I would never see her here yet she was here.
She eyed me in disgust as she said, "Here I am paying for this expensive university, only for you to be wasting my money by wasting your time with this filth."
Realizing what she meant, I let go of Jungkook and moved to run away but my body just stood there frozen in shock.
Jungkook then defensively stepped in front of me and said, "Why do you always treat your daughter like trash?! She's precious and she deserves better than this!"
"Oh really, why do you get to tell me what my daughter deserves, who are you to tell me what my daughter deserves," my mother taunted him but Jungkook stood his ground and said, "I am someone who actually cares about your daughter's wellbeing, unlike you."
"Oh right then, Haewon, my dearest daughter, leave this boy or something that we discussed before will happen," she taunted and that's when her stipulation came rushing back.
It was the moment before the gala. Eunwoo was busy changing and my mother decided to talk to me.

Then the reality of the present hit me and I said, "Leave first, I'll talk to him."
"Like I'd allow you-," she said angrily but I said, "I'll marry Eunwoo okay........I'll do however you please just let me talk to him one last time before It comes to that.......preferrably alone."
She sighed then said, "Fine, I'll be waiting outside this building, I need you to attend a meeting on my behalf, I have some pressing matters to attend to."
Right....pressing matters.....more like new clubs to visit.
When the sound of her footsteps could no longer be heard, I turned to look at Jungkook but he spoke first saying, "You can't marry Eunwoo."
"Jungkook, I have to, my mother is very powerful-," I warned but he shook his head and said, "You can't say that, we can fight this together, don't you want to be with me?"
"Of course I want to be with you, it's just that the circumstances will be detrimental to both of us," I explained, "Jungkook, my mother is a manipulative psychopath, she will stop at nothing to get what she wants, if she has to hurt you, then she'll hurt you."
"Jungkook.....you'll be better with someone else than dead.....I'd rather watch you be happy with someone else than watch you rest in a coffin ya hear me?," I pleaded and he searched my eyes and by the look on his face, I could tell that he finally realized that I was being serious.
He gently cupped my face and said, "I can't believe I'm saying this but, okay, I'll let you go, if it means your heart will rest easy."
I smiled sadly then kissed his soft lips one last time and said, "I hope you know you gave me really good memories to hold onto........thank you for everything........but I have to go and attend this meeting......I'll see you when I see you Jungkook."

I watched as she slowly walked away from my sight. I sighed.
Saying that to her was the only way she wasn't going to get suspicious.
I knew something was off when her mother said Haewon would be filling in for her meeting. What kind of CEO does that?!
This ties in perfectly to my supposed plan.
I've kept tabs on the activity her mother has been doing and it might just be the only way I can bring her down.
