"Daddy!" Hae-Seong calls out as he jumps on Jungkook.
Jungkook was sleeping in my bed after we had our emotional moment last night, we crashed in my room and fell asleep almost immediately. I woke up many hours ago because of my mind wouldn't stop running.
Jungkook grunts as Hae-Seong lands on him then Jungkook wraps his arms around Hae-Seong.
"Good morning, Hae-Seongie." He greets then Hae-Seong giggles as he puckers his lips at Jungkook.
"Morning kisses, Daddy." Hae-Seong tells him then Jungkook gives him a kiss.
Hae-Seong giggles as Jungkook laughs as well then Hae-Seong points to me.
"Mommy does not give me morning kisses." Hae-Seong tells Jungkook then he gasps.
"Mommy doesn't give you morning kisses?" Jungkook asks Hae-Seong and Hae-Seong shakes his head then Jungkook looks at me with a shocked face. "Do you not give him morning kisses?" Jungkook asks me then I look at Hae-Seong with a shocked face.
"I do too give you morning kisses!" I argue as I walk over and lean over Hae-Seong. "I just wait for you to brush your teeth, pumpkin!" I exclaim then I start tickling him.
He busts out laughing then a huge smile comes upon my face then I look at Jungkook and see how happy he is.
I hear the doorbell ring then I get up. I walk to the front door and open it, seeing Taemin with a small smile on his face.
"Oh, Taemin-ah!" I greet then I give him a hug. "It's been so long." I mention then I let go of him so he can come inside.
"Yeah, it has, noona." He agrees then we hear little pitter patter of footsteps.
"Uncle Min-Min!" Hae-Seong greets as he runs at Taemin and he picks up Hae-Seong.
"Hello, Hae-Seong ah!" He greets then Hae-Seong points to the hallway.
"Daddy's home!" Hae-Seong announces then Jungkook starts walking down the hallway.
"Holy shit-" Taemin starts off.
"Bad word, Min-Min!" Hae-Seong introduces then Taemin chuckles.
"Holy crap, Jungkook, you were finally allowed to come back, huh?" Taemin asks him as Jungkook steals away Hae-Seong.
"Yeah, it feels good to finally see them again." Jungkook agrees then he kisses Hae-Seong's cheek. "Especially my favorite son and wife." He adds then Jungkook kisses my cheek.
"That's sweet, Jungkook." Taemin starts off then he points to me. "But I came to talk to Y/N about something." Taemin mentions then Jungkook nods.
"Hae-Seongie, do you want to go play in your room?" Jungkook asks him then Hae-Seong nods as Jungkook starts to walk away.
"I wanna play superhero, Daddy!" Hae-Seong exclaims then Jungkook closes the door behind him then I look at Taemin.
"So, what's up?" I ask Taemin as I pour him a glass of wine.
"Um, I'm leaving." Taemin reveals then I raise an eyebrow at him. "For good. I'm leaving and going back home to Heaven." Taemin tells me then I nod.
"How come?" I ask him then he sighs.
"Since everything is now the way they're supposed to be and I no longer need to protect you, I'm going back home." Taemin explains then he takes a sip of wine. "I'll be leaving shortly, so I wanted to come and say my last goodbye to you." Taemin tells me then I smile at him.
"Thank you for thinking of me, Taemin." I thank then I sigh. "You heading back soon?" I ask him and he nods as he looks up at the clock.
"Yeah, in about five minutes to be exact." He answers then I hum in response.
"You need to say goodbye to Hae-Seong, though, he's going to miss you." I remind him then he nods.
"I'll leave him a really nice goodbye present for him." Taemin agrees then he looks at the door as it gets brighter. "That's my signal to go now." He tells me as he steps around the counter and gives me a big hug. "I guess this is my last goodbye." Taemin tells me and I nod.
"I guess so." I agree.
We then let go of each other and he walks to the front door and opens it while standing in front of it.
"I'll see you around, best friend." I farewell then he looks back at me and smiles.
"See you around, best friend." He farewells then walks out of the door and disappears.
I stand in front of the door as it closes then I stand in the room and cross my arms as my eyes water.
I stay in my seat and open my notebook to a new page to start writing a poem about myself to share with everyone else.
"Hey," I hear a deep voice call out from next to me, I then look over, "are you new to this school? I haven't ever seen you around before." He asks and I shake my head as my leg starts bouncing like crazy.
"N-No, I've g-gone here since l-last year. I-I'm just n-not i-involved in m-much." I stutter out then I cover my mouth. "S-Sorry, f-for stuttering." I apologize as I look down in embarrassment.
"Don't worry about it." He assures me and I look back up at him. "Everyone here is always nervous and we're all a bunch of misfits." He adds and I nod.
"I-I'm just r-really nervous." I tell him and he smiles.
"I get that." He agrees as he leans back. "The first poem everyone has read, no one would volunteer and they were all nervous." He tells me and I nod. "Oh yeah, and my name is Lee Taemin." He introduces as he sends me a kind smile.
"J-Jung Y/N." I introduce.
"Your poem was really good, Y/N." Taemin compliments and I give him a shy smile.
"T-Thank you," I thank then I slowly turn and face him, "it's k-kinda hard t-to share m-my feelings with o-others." I tell him and I lower my head. "Sorry about m-my stuttering. I-I have awful anxiety." I apologize and I hear Taemin giggle.
"It's okay," He assures me then he hums, "usually people with anxiety can't even talk to others, but the stuttering isn't even that bad. It's like when you stumble over words almost, that's the kind of stutter I hear in your voice." He explains to me and I nod.
He then smiles at me, kindly, making my cheeks turn pink.
"Don't worry about anyone judging you here." Taemin assures me then I look up at him. "We're all misfits here." He says then I look at him confusingly.
"What do you mean?" I ask him then he points to himself.
"Take me, for example." He says then he clears his throat. "I'm an aspiring fashion icon that wishes to me on stage right now, showing everyone and everything my talent." He explains then he scoffs. "However, I'm currently studying to be a biologist at a cheap college because my parents disapproved of me wanting to be famous." He adds and I nod.
"Wow, I feel somewhat sorry." I comment and he nods.
"No need to be." He tells me then a man smacks him at the back of the head.
"Quit flirting with the poor girl, gay boy." He says then Taemin smacks him back.
"How many times do I have to tell you? I am not gay, I am bi. Which means I like both genders." Taemin corrects.
The man behind him had bleached blonde hair, dark brown eyes, fair skin, wearing a black Beatles t-shirt, dark denim ripped jeans, black combat boots, a red and black striped long-sleeve shirt under his t-shirt, and a black headband on.
"And who's the cutie?" He asks then I felt my anxiety sky-rocket.
"Bro, don't scare her like that." Taemin defends.
"How am I scaring her?" The guy asks then Taemin sighs.
"She has really bad anxiety." Taemin answers then the guy nods.
"Ahh, I see." He says then Taemin rolls his eyes.
"Y/N, this is my brother, Tae-Yong." Taemin introduces then he looks at his brother. "Tae-Yong, this is Y/N, Jung Y/N." Taemin introduces then Tae-Yong raises an eyebrow.
"Jung Y/N?" He questions as he looks at me.
"Y-Yes?" I respond then he cocks his head to the side.
"Y/N? As in THE Jung Y/N, Jung Hoseok's little cousin?" He asks and I nod.
"Y-Yes, h-he's my c-cousin." I answer then he chuckles.
"Wow, what a small world we live in," he says then he elbows Taemin, "isn't that right, brother?" He asks Taemin then the aforementioned rolls his eyes.
"Leave me alone, Tae-Yong." He growls out then his brother leaves.
Taemin then sighs as he looks back at me then smiles kindly at me, once again.
"Care if I walk you out?" He asks then I shake my head.
"I-I don't mind." I answer then I gather my things. "M-My cousin i-is here to p-pick me up anyways." I tell him and he nods.
"I'll walk you out to him." He offers and I smile.
We walk out of the classroom and down the hallways, where everyone went to the common room and hung out with their friends or went to their vehicles to go home.
"So, how old are you?" Taemin asks me.
"I'm twenty. What about you?"
"Nineteen." He answers then he smirks. "Which makes you my noona, noona." He purrs and I giggle.
"Don't be a f-flirt with me." I tell him and he smiles.
"I'm not trying to be just a flirt. You're a pretty cute girl, but I just wanna be friends currently, you know?" He asks me and I nod.
"F-Fine by me." I tell him as I shrug. "I-I'm not i-interested in d-dating currently." I reveal to him and he looks at me in shock.
"Has some guy treated you bad in the past or are you wanting to focus on yourself before anyone else?" He asks then I shrug.
"A l-little bit of both." I answer then he nods. "I-I had a shitty boyfriend in h-high school who didn't u-understand my s-situation. And I-I'm also not d-doing well on m-my mental health, so I'm wanting to g-get better before I s-share my life with s-someone." I explain then he hums.
"That's understandable. You gotta love yourself before you love anyone else, ya know?" He mentions and I slightly smile.
"Y-Yeah." I agree then I clear my throat. "F-Forgive me for a-asking, but a-are you and your brother a-always like that o-or is it just a s-sibling thing?" I ask him then he sighs.
"That'd be a story to have over lunch or coffee sometime." He mentions then we make it to Hoseok's car.
I feel arms wrap around me from the back and I grab them in comfort as a tear runs down my cheek.
"He's taken great care of both you and Hae-Seong for the longest time when I couldn't be there for you." Jungkook tells me then he turns me around to him and has me look into his eyes. "I'm glad he was your friend throughout the way."
