"Breath... should I take a deep?" Ruby is shown sitting alone on the clock tower as she stares out at the sunset. "Faith... should I take the leap?" Roxas is shown in his organization thirteen cloak with the hood up. "Taste... what a bittersweet!" The two are shown walking the opposite direction of one another before they are shown looking at one another from over their shoulders. "All my, all my life!" Axel is shown walking over to Roxas and putting his arm around his neck and pulls him away. "Let me face!" Ruby is shown looking away as she stood alone. "Let me face!" Light flashes and Ruby is shown running from Nobodies that suddenly attack. "Let me face my fears!" Roxas is shown looking down sadly as he was forced to follow orders. "Let me face! Let me face! Let me face my fears!" Light flashes and Ruby is shown laughing as she sits next to Roxas as the two talk. "Won't be long!" Light flashes and Ruby is shown standing with shock on her face as Roxas is shown standing in front of her. "Won't be long!" Light flashes and Ruby is shown crying as she stood alone. "I'm almost here!" Light flashes as Sora and Roxas are shown on separate screens before Roxas is shown fading away and Sora is shown alone. "Watch me cry all my tears!" Ruby is staring at the sky as it looked like doves fly around her. "Let me face!" Light flashes as Ruby is shown floating back as she reached up. "Let me face!" Roxas, Ruby, Xion and Axel are shown laughing together as Ruby and Roxas sat beside one another. "Let me face my fears!" Music continues to play as Ruby and Roxas are shown reuniting before Ruby is shown sitting alone as she stares at out the sky and the title is shown above her.
After a few days, Xion didn't show up. Ruby was getting just as worried about her as Roxas was. Roxas asks Axel about what to do.
"No offense to the other girl in the group, but girls are complicated and there are buttons you have to avoid pressing." Axel says.
"Did I maybe press the wrong buttons?" Roxas asks.
"I feel a little offended. But I'm not going to let it bother me." Ruby says and she smiles.
"She'll be fine in a couple of days and we'll all have ice cream again." Axel says.
[A Few Days Later]
After several days, it was just Roxas and Ruby. Ruby was wondering why Xion and Roxas hadn't made up. Ruby wondered if the reason Xion was so upset is because of the vision she saw. She didn't really understand it at all but she wasn't sure how to ask about it either.
About two and a half weeks later, Ruby was busy writing in her diary that she kept that she hid right away when Roxas and Axel showed up. They been sitting there talking for a while when Roxas looked at Ruby.
"Ruby, what's love?" Roxas asks and Ruby just about drops her ice cream to the ground below.
"Uh... let's see how do I describe this... Love... It's a feeling that two people feel for one another, I guess. I'm not an expert on that emotion remember?" Ruby says.
"I'd say you are." Axel says.
"No I'm not!" Ruby says as her face turns bright red.
"Perhaps... if I help complete Kingdom Hearts and I gain a heart I will finally find out the answer." Roxas says.
The following day, Roxas told Ruby about Xion being asleep. Ruby was worried for their friend for Axel and Roxas. Ruby felt like there was something that Axel wasn't telling Roxas and Ruby. Ruby wondered if she could go see Xion but Axel and Roxas wouldn't let her. They told her it wasn't safe for her.
[Eighteen Days Later]
Ruby waits with ice cream for her friends. She spots them approaching and she waves. She gasps when she sees Xion and she smiles.
"Xion! You're all better!" Ruby says with a smile.
"Hey, Ruby, I thought you'd be up top already." Axel says.
"Thought I'd wait down here today." Ruby says. She looks over at Xion and her eyes widen as Xion falls over.
"Xion!" Ruby says in unison with Roxas. She rushes over to Xion with Roxas beside her. Ruby gasps as she places her hand on Xion's shoulder.
[Flashback]
A girl flies towards a boy before she vanishes. Light flashes and the same girl is shown catching the boy who fades away to light. Light flashes and the two are standing together. She holds out a little seashell thing and gives it to him.
"It's my lucky charm. Be sure to bring it back to me!" The girl's voice says.
[Present]
Ruby whines as she sits up as Roxas held her while Axel held Xion. Ruby rubs her head and she looks at Roxas who looked at her with a confused look on his face.
"What's going on?" Ruby asks.
"We should be asking you that. You touched Xion and you just passed out." Axel says.
"Oh, um... I'm not sure why. I'm okay now, though. How's Xion?" Ruby asks. Ruby looks up and her eyes widen when a Heartless appears. It readies an attack. Axel moves away with Xion while Roxas grabs Ruby around the waist and jumps back. He lets her go.
"Ruby, get out of here!" Roxas says as he rushes forward and attacks the Heartless with his Keyblade.
"Leave Xion to me." Axel says.
"Right!" Roxas says. Ruby stares in shock. Roxas fights off the Heartless and he destroys it. He rushes back over to the others.
"Ruby, I told you to run." Roxas says.
"Oh, well, I just... thought that was really cool." Ruby says.
"We need to get Xion back." Axel says.
"Is she going to be okay?" Ruby asks.
"We'll keep you in the loop." Roxas says and Ruby nods. She had her hand against her chest as she looks at Roxas, Axel and Xion with a worried look on her face. The group walked away and Ruby's eyes widen as a strange doorway looking like a dark portal opens up and the group walks through. The portal closes and Ruby thinks about the vision she had.
The following days, Roxas and Axel told the group all about their missions to other worlds. Ruby enjoyed hearing about other worlds and her friend's adventures. She often dreamed about going on adventures as well one day. After 224 days of being friends with the group, the others had finally started coming back on a daily basis to have ice cream with Ruby.
"Hey, Axel, you've been to Castle Oblivion right?" Xion asks.
"Yeah, why?" Axel asks.
"What's it like?" Xion asks.
"What's it like? Just another Organization research facility." Axel says.
"For research, huh? Seems everyone gets sent there all the time. Especially you." Roxas says.
"Although... they never send me or Roxas." Xion says.
"Well... they probably just don't need you there." Axel says.
"I'm... I'm heading back." Xion says and Xion stands up. Ruby blinks at her confused. Xion gets a memory flash and her foot slips. Ruby gasps and without thinking she reaches for Xion and grabs her hand. Ruby's movement causes both girls to fall off the tower. Roxas gasps in shock and he manages to grab Ruby's hand. He struggles to hold onto both of them while Ruby struggles to hold onto Xion. Axel jumps up and helps pull the girls back onto the tower. Ruby takes a deep breath from climbing back onto the tower.
"Maybe you're not completely well yet." Roxas tells Xion.
"No, it's nothing like that." Xion says.
"That was crazy though, Ruby, are you alright?" Roxas asks.
"I just moved without thinking." Ruby says.
"Well, thank you." Xion says.
"Got it!" Axel says.
"Huh? Got what?" Roxas asks.
"On our next day off, let's all go to the beach, huh?" Axel asks.
"Not sure it'll line up with my day off." Ruby says.
"Play hooky." Axel says and Ruby thinks about it.
"Okay!" Ruby says and she giggles.
"The beach? Where'd that come from?" Xion asks.
"We should go someplace different for a change." Axel says.
"You're talking about a vacation with friends." Roxas says.
"Exactly!" Axel says.
"I'll join you... if I can." Xion says.
"What are you talking about, Xion?" Roxas asks.
"It'll be a blast, trust me." Axel asks.
"Anywhere Axel goes is, I'm sure." Ruby says.
"Hmm... Yes, alright, let's go." Xion says.
