After Halo everyone went back to their rightful places in time and Adeline had to leave Torchwood. It was too painful for her to be around Jack knowing that it was her fault he went through the whole thing and knowing she wouldn't even be able to save Tosh and Owen made it even worse. So now she had gone to live on a secluded planet where no one from earth would ever find Adeline Jackson again or be hurt by her again.
