After heading back to the house we all decided to spend some more time together since today the youngest in the group, Conny, is leaving and getting adopted. Though I was in the group and listening to the rest chat, I just stayed silent. Something inside of me felt weird...
We all had dinner and mother asked me if I could help the young girl with her luggage. I did as I told but stopped before entering our room and glanced over to see mother looking at a drawing Conny did of them both holding hands.
"Ryo."
Her small voice spoke my name and I quickly paid her attention. "I'm coming." the room was dark, so i turned on the lights and began to help Conny back her bag up. "Do you think I'll be happy with my new mommy and daddy, Ryo?" i stopped folding her dress and frowned.
I turn to her and gave her a big smile, "Of course you will!" i knelt down to her level and wrapped my arms around her. "Wherever you go don't forget that we will always love you." Conny begins to sniff and hugs me tighter.
"I promise. I wont ever forget you sis." Conny said with a smile and took hold of my hand once I finished her bag. Hand in hand we walked downstairs and met up with everyone. Mother smiled at us both and came up to Conny, so i moved aside and joined the rest of my friends.
Conny held onto her stuffed bunny with a smile on her face and said, "I'm slow, and wasn't as smart as everyone, but ever after I leave, I'll do my best. I'll have little bunny so i'll be okay." the girl paused and focused her eyes on us all and began to cry. "I don't want to leave anymore. I wan to stay here!" Don and Emma began to cry as well while I tried my best to fight back the tears.
"Goodbye Conny."
We all sang and waved at her goodbye when Mother grabbed her hand and left the house. The door closed behind them and I raced over to the window and saw their figures disappearing from my view. Everyone else was tired from running around and headed each to bed, i was still standing by the window and saw something from the corner of my eye.
A pink bunny..that's her bunny!
I ran over to it and began to freak out. Conny never leaves her bunny. Just in time Emma came with a broom in hand and I ran over to her. "Emma!" she jumped up surprised I was still here. "Ryo what's wrong?!" I showed her the bunny and she gasped.
"Conny left her bunny!"
Norman,Ray and Gilda came in and saw us freaking out. "What should we go?" I turn to Emma and held onto Conny's bunny tight.
"There's still time." Ray said walking closer to us. "I saw the lights of the gates were still on. Mom isn't back either, so I don't think Conny has left-" with that being said, I ran past Ray and began running out of the house.
"Ryo wait for us!" Norman and Emma said chasing after me. I slowed down my pace and resumed running faster and they caught on with me. The sky was completely dark which made it a bit hard for us to see, but with the lights on either side of the gate made it easier for us. We stopped at the same time and stared up at the gate.
Emma was the first to speak "You can't go there, no matter what."
"We shouldn't matter about that right now." I told them and Norman nodded.
"Then let's get scolded together."
I stood behind Norman while Emma stayed behind me. The three of us being careful on not getting caught. Emma called out Conny's name, there was no response so we each began to walk further. The place was eerily quiet and cold. I stood behind the two of them, carefully inspecting the place and listening if Mother or Conny were close. "Whoa. I've never seen a vehicle before." I heard Emma tell Norman.
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Especially one this huge."
Norman began looking inside the front of the vehicle while Emma looked down at a puddle of water since a pipe from above seemed to broken. The wall was also leaking with water too.
"No one is here."
"Maybe we should leave her bunny over there." Emma pointed at where I was. I could feel my heart pounding from the weird tension I felt from just being here. My eyes wandered over to what was infront of me, slowly i walked closer to the end of the vehicle and reached over to curtain covering whatever was on the other side of it.
Slowly I took a hold of it and moved it aside. I gasped and my eyes widened and vision began to get blurry. I fell down to the floor and placed my hands over my mouth. "Ryo. What's wrong?" Emma asked concerned.
I couldn't say a thing so I pointed over so she could see herself. Emma stayed frozen in her spot for a second before almost tumbling over to where I was. "N-Norman." Norman paid attention to us and slowly walked over to us. Norman also stood still and couldnt believe what he saw.
It was Conny's dead body..he eyes were wide open, a bit of blood running down her lip and a flower growing out of her stomach?
"Is someone there?"
An unfamiliar voice called out. "Hey did you hear voices?" "Must be your imagination." two voices said to one another. Emma and Norman helped me get off my feet so we could hide. The three of us crawled down the vehicle while listening to whoever the person was outside. "If it was a stray cat, i would've caught it and ate it."
"You eat thing's like cats?"
Two shadows moved close to where we were, so without making a sound I crawled closer to see. Holy crap! With both my hands I again covered my mouth and saw that whoever spoke weren't humans..but demons. They had big hands and large claw like fingers, razor sharp teeth and deformed looking,one of them grabbed Conny's lifeless body and dumped her inside of a water tank.
One of the demons stuck it's long tongue out about to do something to her. "It looks so delicious. Human meat is the best."
"Damn! Can't I have a fingertip at least?"
"You idiot. It's valuable merchandise. It's not something the likes of us can have. All the human flesh produced in this farm are high-quality meat intended for the rich." I can't believe what i'm listening. Emma scared to turn look at us "Where is mom?"
Norman shushed her and I grabbed one of her hands to try and calm her down, but it wasn't working for either of us.
"Another six year old. Lately we've been shipping out normal quality ones. But it looks likes we'll soon harvest some high quality ones..Isabella." my heart stopped for a second when they mentioned her name. Surprised I saw her feet standing by the creature, no wonder I noticed her acting all weird.
"Yes?" Isabella asked the creature who held onto a clipboard.
"Make the preparations to pluck these four with full scores." the demon said which she agreed. "Understood." there was silence next until the same spoke again. "Wait. I smell something."

Crap crap crap! I took Emma and Norman's hand and dragged them behind me. We ran as fast as we could till Emma gave out and fell to the ground.
"Holy shit!" I held onto my head and felt my heart beating faster and faster every second. "I-I can't believe i-it. She's been raising us like pigs for slaughter!" i shout hysterically and began to cry. I've never cried this much in my life, Conny is dead..and we're up next.
Emma couldn't stop panting and crying "This place is a farm..so we're all food. No, it can't be. Everyone found foster homes. And Mom...It was usual, kind Mom, right? We were mistaken. That girl wasn't Conny,right?" Emma couldnt stop asking questions like myself but neither Norman or I knew how to respond to each.
Norman stares down at Emma and takes a deep shaky breathe, "That was Conny."
I crawl over to Emma and wrapped my arms around her. It didn't help from the screams she was giving. "W-We have to get in the house, before she knows we were out." with Norman's help we help Emma up her feet and quietly but quickly made it in. Hopefully no one is awake.
We shut the door behind us and saw Ray still awake. "Welcome back. How did it go?" Should I tell him or...I was opening my mouth to reply but Norman did instead.
"We couldn't make it." he simply told Ray. The three of us still scared and shocked by what just happened. "Let's go to bed." I whispered to them both. They followed me and I could see Ray's eyes on us.
October,12,2045
The calendar read and I stood in front of it just staring at it. Who would've thought that today Conny was getting killed, she was supposed to leave and have a happy family! I clench my fists and slammed it at the wall, small drops of blood dripping down the floor.
"Shit..she was supposed to leave." I whisper to myself and many thoughts filled my head. Emma and Norman were on the floor next to me.
"We were raised just to be eaten or something?" she sniffed and looked over to Norman.
"Let's escape, Emma. We have to leave this place. Don't worry we can do it. You, me, Ray, Ryo. If it's the four of us..."
I turn to them and fell down to the floor while hugging myself and crying, "It's gonna be impossible."
Emma says interrupting me "I can't leave them here. Otherwise they'll definitely get killed." She says referring to the rest. "I don't want any more of my family to die.."
"I don't w-want to d-die. Norman, Emma you guys don't understand. We have to get out of here as fast as we can! I can't be n-next..my birthday is a few weeks away and i'll turn 12." I began to freak out and cry even more till I felt arms wrapped over me and opened my eyes to see Norman.
I was paralyzed in fear,anger and shock but he made me feel a bit better. "Nothing is going to happen. It'll be okay. Let's run away. Together, with everyone." Norman unwrapped his arms around me and Emma grasped his arm desperately "But how Norman? How will us kids run away from monsters?" her tears kept falling down her face.
She paused then turned to us again, "Strategy. It'll be the same as playing tag."
Norman nodded his head. "That's right. We'll find a way for all of us to survive."
I wiped my tears away and smiled at them, "Even though our Conny is gone. I promise as the oldest one here that I will protect each and every one of us. We will make it out alive." I painfully smile and touch their shoulders.
"We will get out just you wait." Norman smiles and Emma nods her head and leans over to hug me. Emma unwraps her arms around me and we all stand up, i look over my shoulder and feel someone watching us.
I ignore the feeling and gave each of them a hug, we all went to bed and Emma and I shared a little conversation. "Everything will be alright,Emma." she already was under the covers but had a lot of trouble falling asleep. I couldn't blame her though, so I sat down on the edge of her bed so she would feel protective. Just today early in the morning I was acting different, now I have an urge to protect everyone, never did i see myself caring this much for everyone.
I waited seconds,minutes and looked down to see Emma asleep. She was tossing and turning so I held onto her hand which calmed her down. I'm so scared of what's going to happen in the future but I will risk my life for Emma and the rest of our family.
The room was quiet and dark and I saw a bit of light coming from outside. Slowly and carefully I walked over to the window and peeked to see Isabella arriving. Again I began to panic, my heart beating faster and my urge vomit once again began to show up but I have to remain calm on the outside. I heard the front door open so i ran to my bed, hid under my covers and covered my mouth.
Suddenly the door to our room opened and i squeezed my eyes shut when I heard footsteps approaching to where I was. I felt a hand on my shoulder and tried not to move. Isabella didn't say a thing. I waited and it felt like hours until she left. I gasped and sat up straight, i didnt even realize that I was holding onto my breathe till she left the room.
I glance over to Emma then the rest of the beds till my eyes landed on Conny's empty one. My breathing went back to normal and I rested my head on my pillow while staring up at the ceiling. I was slowly drifting to sleep until..again I shot up from my bed and wide eyed stared at Conny's bed.
"Little bunny!"
