"Olivia I need to talk with you about something. Please take a seat." Dr. Saltzman directed the girl to the chair across from him. Olivia complied and sat in the chair. Around her were Rafael and Hope. Olivia was still completely drained emotionally from yesterday and really wasn't up to talking. The witch noticed how conflicted Rafael seemed, it sent off alarms in the girls head.

"What's going on?" Olivia asked while looking to Raf for an answer.

"It's Landon," Rafael said, Olivia immediately tensed up. She feared something had happened to him.

"What happened? Is he ok, Raf please tell me he's ok?" Olivia begged while standing up and standing in front of the werewolf.

"He's fine, but what he did isn't." The older man said while standing and sitting on the edge of his desk.

"What do you mean Dr. Saltzman. I thought you compelled him to go back home?" Olivia asked getting more worried.

"You can call me Alaric," Olivia furrowed her eyebrows at such the uncommon name. "Olivia your brother never went home he hopped on a bus and left. Hope was able to track the bus but when we went, there wasn't much left to the bus or anyone in it."

"Before he left he stole an artifact from the library, a knife. In the wrong hands it can do a lot of damage, which it seems it already has." Hope explained angrily.

"Landon wouldn't do that I've know him, he wouldn't hurt anyone like that," Rafael spoke up, addressing Hope's recent statement.

"Yeah well that bus full of people speaks otherwise now doesn't it." Hope said sassily to the werewolf. Rafael growled in Hopes direction feeling his anger rise.

"What happened to the other people on the bus?" Olivia asked still not up to date on what had happened. Hope looked to Alaric not wanting to deliver the news.

"When we found the bus, everyone inside was dead. The only one not there was your brother and he had the knife." Olivia shook her head in disbelief, Landon couldn't be responsible for something like this.

"Your lying," Olivia said in disagreement. Hope walked toward Olivia and put her hands both side of the witches neck.

"I'm going to show you something." Olivia nodded her head and awaited the thing Hope was about to show her. All of the sudden flashes of Landon began popping into Olivia's head. One where he was holding the knife, it began to glow red. And then the final image showed. It was of burnt charred bodies on the bus. With that Olivia pulled away from the tribrid, her eyes wide in horror.

"Did you see that?" Olivia asked Rafael, he shook his head and looked down. Olivia's head was so scatter brained in that moment she could barely even hear herself think.

"Where going after him before anything else happens, but we need to know if he would run anywhere specific if we caught him?" Alaric asked, as he began packing things in a bag.

"No I don't know where he would go." Olivia answered as she continued to watch the head master gather his things together. "I'm coming with you." She demanded.

"That's not necessary..." Alaric began to say before being cut off by the Mikealson girl.

"Alaric just let it happen. She needs to come with us." Hope interrupted, the older man looked at Hope questionably but agreed anyway.

The car ride had been silent. No one dared speak a word more about the Landon situation in fear of upsetting someone. Olivia watched out the window, counting the amount of cars that passed by. The brunette teen sat next to her best friend. She noticed the scowl on his face. Olivia wondered if he had a million questions going through his head just as she did.

"Do you think Landon was really capable of doing something like this?" Olivia whispered only wanting Rafael to hear her.

"Do you?" Raf said, Olivia pondered on her thoughts for a second.

"I know Landon isn't responsible for the deaths of those people. He wouldn't hurt anyone." Rafael nodded in agreement. "I just don't understand why he would lie about being compelled and then on top of that steal that knife." In the front seat Hope had been trying to avoid ease dropping on the conversation behind her. But supernatural hearing made that more than impossible. She herself had thought the same thing. Why would Landon lie?

••••

The three teenagers had split from Alaric while he was bringing back a women from the bus to some type of medical attention. Olivia felt like they had been walking forever, and to make it worse no one had said a word since Alaric's departure.

"Hope are we getting any closer?" Olivia asked, breaking the silence.

"I think so. Just hang in a little longer and we'll find him." As much as Hope tried to be happy about finding Landon. Olivia and Raf couldn't help but notice the anger in her voice.

"What exactly happened on that bus?" Rafael asked as he walked along side Hope. Olivia followed behind the two listening in on their conversation.

"No one knows. They say something incinerated it from the inside." Hope said with a look of pure disappointment on her face.

"Look whatever he did I know there's a good explanation for it." Rafael defended. Hope looked back in Olivia's direction, she simply nodded agreeing with the werewolf.

"He's the most loyal friend I've ever had. He and Olivia where there for on the worst day of my life." Olivia gave the boy a sympathetic smile knowing where he was going with this. "After my girlfriend died he was one of the only things that kept me going. So let me go get that knife back for you and then we can all go hear him out." Rafael reasoned.

"Appreciate the passion but maybe you should exert of it making new friends." Hope said, her voice showing knowing no sign of sympathy.

"Hope I think you should listen to him. I know Landon, I trust Landon he would never lie to Rafael or me. Just let one of us talk to him before you go in guns blazing. Please." Olivia pleaded with the tribrid.

"Olivia, I know he's your brother but that's why you can't see past this." Hope said looking at the girl softly. Rafael scoffed, he was getting fed up with this conversation.

"You want us to look for new friends so we can be as popular and as well liked as you." Hope turned toward the boy and glared. "Yeah I've been at the school for two days and I've already heard all about Hope Mikealson and her sunny disposition. I'll get you the stupid not stupid knife and the answers you want. I promise." Olivia and Hope stood shocked by Rafael's outburst. Olivia was surprised Rafael had dared to stand up against the intimidating girl.

"Hope just let him go, he doesn't lie." Hope laughed sarcastically at Olivia's comment.

"Everybody lies," Olivia looked at Hope with pleading eyes praying she would just let the boy go. Hope rolled her eyes and gave in. "He's in the root cellar, you have three minutes to do this your way." Olivia watched as Raf was about to protest.

"Raf, just go before she changes her mind." Olivia demanded. The boy was quick to turn and jog toward the wooden cellar up in front of the three.

"I'm sorry for what Raf said to you before. It wasn't kind, he just is really protective over Landon." Olivia apologized.

"You have nothing to apologize for. It's not like your the one who said it." Hope said while holding her stare on the cellar. Olivia rocked back and fourth on her heels feeling herself becoming awkward around the girl.

"Thank you for letting him go in and talk with Landon." Olivia said, trying to maintain conversation.

"I wouldn't thank me just yet." Hope said leaving the brunette confused. Hope began to walk toward the cellar at a fast pace and Olivia followed.

"Hope it hasn't  been three minutes yet, what are you doing?" Olivia said trying to get the Mikealson to stop.

"I'm doing things my way hun. You may want to get used to it." Hope said sassily, Olivia felt a sting at the girls tone of voice.

None the less she followed the Mikealson girl down the cellar steps where she found her brother and Rafael talking . The room was dark and small with cobwebs covering almost every wall. Olivia was surprised her brother had decided to take refuge in this place.

"Liv," Landon breathed out as he walked toward his sister. Wrapping his arms around the girl and holding her tight. Olivia reciprocated the embrace hugging the boy even tighter.

"You're ok. I was so worried." Olivia said looking up at her brothers face examining for any injuries.

"What happened to my three minutes?" Rafael spoke. His frustration directed toward Hope, the werewolf stepped closer to the tribrid fists clenched. Olivia however stepped between the two, putting her hands on the boy's chest and slowly backing him away from Hope.

"Raf hey calm down, leave her be she's just looking for answers." Landon looked at his sister with bewilderment he was curious as to who she had cared so much for Hope's well being.

"Like I said people lie," Hope said looking at Rafael. Completely ignoring Olivia coming to her defense.

Hope let out some type of incantation, raising her arm toward Landon. The dark haired boy flew to the wall behind him. Trapped there due to the spell Hope had just done. Raf and Olivia came to Landon's aid trying to find a way to set the boy free.

"Where's the knife." Hope asked furiously, not taking her eyes off the boy for a moment.

"I don't have it I must have lost it when I ran." Landon said shakily.

"After you burned the bus!" Hope said raising her voice slightly.

"That wasn't me, I barely got out of there alive." Landon said defending himself.

"Hope, come on let him go." Olivia said only to once again be ignored by the raging girl.

"Last chance where the hell is it!" Hope shouted, Olivia could feel the tension in the room growing. Trying to defuse the situation she stepped in front of Hope.

"Hope please he didn't do this. Listen to him, he doesn't have the knife and he didn't burn the bus. Just..." The Mikealson pushed the girl in front of her off to the side sending her a pointed glare.

"Olivia stop talking." Hope said trying to sound as calm as she possibly could knowing that the witch was only trying to avoid a confrontation.

"There was this girl." Landon said as he was finally now able to slide to the floor and sit, Olivia squatting down beside him. "She burned the bus. Not me, it's as if she was some type of dragon lady. She just spit fire from her mouth." Landon explained.

"I don't believe a word you're saying." Hope said looking down at the boy.

"You have every right to be mad at me but I am telling you the truth. Come on guys help me." Landon said looking to his sister and friend.

"I believe him. Our entire lives he's never lied to me. We made a pact Hope I don't lie to him he doesn't lie to me. Ever." Olivia said, Hope huffed the girl wishing she could see it the way she had. Hope looked toward Rafael awaiting his response.

"I believe him, if he says he doesn't have the knife then he doesn't have it. If he says there a fire breathing woman running through the woods.."

"There's a fire breathing woman running through the woods." Alaric interrupted coming down the steps and looking panicked. "Turns out our bus refugee, Yeah well she's a pyromancer."

"Wh-What's a pyromancer?" Landon asked stuttering a bit.

"A fire breathing witch." Hope explained. Olivia let out a sarcastic laugh.

"Oh this day just gets better and better doesn't it." Alaric looked at the teen and smiled slightly at her. Mumbling a 'welcome to my world'.

"Ric she wants the knife." Hope said realization dawning upon her. Rafael, Landon, and Olivia all looked at each other already had figuring that out.

"Ok then where is it?" Alaric asked as he brought his arms out to his sides. Everyone looked at Landon, the boy looked everywhere but everyone's eyes.

"He lost it, while running. He was trying to find a place to hide." Olivia said for her brother.

"Ok. Ok um well let's find it before she does." Alaric said as he dashed out the door. Everyone else following.

••••

As the five stepped out the cellar doors the came face to face with the fire breathing witch. Silence fell between all of them as the stared at the woman in front of them.

"We don't want any trouble." Alaric spoke, the woman stared at the man a moment longer before lifting her hand. Her gaze then fell upon Landon, a growl escaping her mouth.

"What does she want?" Rafael asked, the others not understanding. The lady extended her arm further in Landon

"Maybe she wants the knife you said you don't have." Hope said looking in the boys direction.

Olivia watched as the fire breathing witch stepped forward slighted. Her eyes now glowing orange.

"Um guys I think we should go." Olivia uttered quietly. Hope huffed and turned towards the girl about to say that everything was fine until she to saw the pyromancer.

"Back in the cellar. Go go go." Alaric ushered the kids back to the small room. Olivia clutching onto her brothers arm in fear something would happen to him. As Olivia's feet landed on the cement floor she watched as fire engulfed the top of the hatch doors.

"Where the hell is it!" Hope shouted now more than frustrated with Landon.

"Hope we ready established he doesn't ha-" Olivia stopped what she was saying when she saw Landon reach inside his coat and pull out the infamous knife.

"I'm sorry I panicked." Landon said looking down at his feet. Hope snatched the knife from the boy's hands and glared at him. Olivia stepped away from her brother. He lied to her. He had never done that before.

"What the hell Landon." Rafael said. Disappointed in his friend.

"Ric we need to do something, now. My magic can only hold off flames for so long." Hope said.

"Alright, Rafael go with Hope. Try and take the pyromancer down with the knife. Will go from there." Alaric explained. The three left the small confinement leaving Olivia and Landon alone together.

••••

"You lied to me," Olivia said, breaking the silence in the room. The witches eyes trained on the ground. She didn't care what kind of battle the others were facing outside in that moment. To Olivia she felt like she was at war with her emotions. In fact she'd rather be outside dealing with a fire breathing lady than talking with her brother.

"Liv it's not like that. I didn't even know I took the knife in the first place." Landon explain walking toward Olivia. The girl retreated backwards not wanting to be near Landon right now.

"But you still lied. You lied to Hope, Raf, you lied to me Landon." Olivia said, her voice breaking slightly. Landon knew fully well just how much their pact had meant to Olivia. However he seemed to disregard it for his own needs.

"Olivia you're making a big deal out of nothing. It's a stupid knife Hope and Dr. Saltzman can handle it." At Landon's words Olivia felt herself snap.

"It's not about the knife Landon! I don't give a damn about the knife." Olivia yelled, "We promised each other that no matter what situation we were in no matter how hard that we would never lie. So it is a bid deal to me!" Landon felt himself sink with guilt at his sisters words.

"Do you know what hurts even more. Is that you were going to leave. You were going to hop on a bus and leave both Raf and I behind." Olivia walked towards Landon. "Were you even going to let us know where you were? If you were ok?" Landon simply ducked his head in shame. Indicating to Olivia he wasn't going to. Olivia mumbled and 'unbelievable' as she stormed out of the cellar toward the commotion outside. Leaving Landon's shouts for her behind.

As Olivia stepped out into the sunlight she found Hope and Alaric conspiring, Rafael standing close by. Olivia felt a presence behind her knowing already it had been Landon.

"Olivia please, let me explain." Landon pleaded as he put his hand on the girls shoulder.

"Don't." Olivia shouted jumping away from Landon. Everyone's attention now directed on the two siblings.

"You three go back to the car. Now!" Alaric demanded to the newcomers of the group. Rafael and Landon listened immediately and made a dash for the car. Olivia however stood her ground, a look a pure rage looming in her eyes. One Hope recognized and knew all to well.

"Olivia go, now." Hope said taking the smaller girls wrist in her hand. Olivia pulled away in protest.

"No, no I'm not going anywhere. This stupid knife, this stupid school, this stupid everything. It's ruining my life." Olivia shouted getting more and more worked up by the second. Alaric had seen these types of meltdowns in his own daughter Lizzie and knew they only ended in one way. Destruction.

Hope had continued to try and calm the girl as her breathing had gotten more hectic. As Hope had tried to walk the girl to the car she was stopped by the sight of the dragon lady that had disappear not long ago.

"Olivia you need to go now. Come on!" Hope said now frantic to get the girl to safety. The Mikealson wasn't sure as to why she felt so protective over the girl. All she knew was that right now she needed to be. Olivia fought against Hope as the tribrid tried dragging her away. As the witch whipped around she had come face to face with with the monster that had caused today's mess. Just looking at this beast and thinking about how Landon had betrayed her trust was the last straw to completely send the girl over the edge.

"And this stupid fire breathing witch!" Olivia yelled. Feeling all her emotions and power rising through her body she let out a blood curdling scream raising her hands in the pyromancer's direction.

Hope and Alaric watched in disbelief as the girl exerted all her magic onto the dragon. They hadn't thought Olivia to be a powerful enough witch to do anything like this.

With one last hard breath the pyromancer dropped to the ground and returned to her original form. Olivia doing the same and dropping to her knees from pure emotional exhaustion.

Alaric and Hope handled the lifeless body, laying the fire witch to a peaceful rest. Olivia still sat on the ground staring at her hands.

••••

"There gone, i found this on the windshield." Alaric said as he handed the two girls both an envelope with a letter inside.

Olivia felt her heart shatter even worse than it had earlier on that day. Her brother, her best friend, the only family she had ever known had left her behind. Something they had promised to never do to one another. It seemed that her little family was full of empty promises lately. Olivia however was done with crying and feeling sorry for herself. She was going to be strong this time.

"I don't want it, nor do I need it." The witch said tossing the letter to the ground.

"Olivia..." Hope said giving the girl sympathetic eyes.

"No it's fine Hope. I'm ok, Landon made his choice. And now I'm making mine. This is my life it's about time I just focus on me." Olivia said as she walked into the car and slamming the door behind her. Alaric following behind and sitting in the drivers seat.

Hope however picked up the letter Olivia had left on the ground and put it into her back pocket knowing the girl would eventually want it.

Hope entered into the passenger seat of the car and opened her letter that Landon had addressed to her. As she opened it and began to read nothing to much stuck with her until the last sentence of the letter.
It's said something that confused her but also made her heart skip a beat as well.

"Take care of her. Watch over her. She needs someone like you."
