"Clear that table!" Lora's voice called out. I felt my body being lifted through the house. Pain from my stomach traveled through my body with every step they took. It felt as two people were carrying me. After the sound of panicking and them clearing off a table, I was set down on that table. I finally opened my eyes to see Lora standing over me. Next to her was a Knight soldier. On the other side of the table, Rose walked up and was now standing over me. I looked down and saw my top covered in blood. I smiled at the sight. My smile quickly turned to a frown when Dodger walked up and applied pressure on the wound. I reached out for something and Lora grabbed my hand. I went to sit up as the pain felt like I was being stabbed over and over again. Lora used her other hand to push me back down. "Stay down Turtle, we're gonna save you." She said yet not sounding very confident. A women and man rushed in and stood around the table with everyone else. They're eyes illuminated blue as they placed they're hands over my wound. As they're hands illuminated as well, an explosion could be heard outside.
I looked to see the wall that used to be the front of the tavern blown off with debris everywhere. This gave me a clear view of the damage Pyged and the Switch army had really made. Bodies lined the streets, with the building across the street was nothing but burning debris. Families and civilians ran around collecting each other as Knight's led them around. I turned my head back to see the mages removing their hands. They looked up at each other with a bit of worry in their eyes. "We cannot work our magic as his shell is preventing us from healing." The male said.
"That can't be, I've done it before!" Rose yelled out.
"Well unless we can remove his shell, we can't." He said. I lifted my head to talk. I had to tell them my shell could be removed. Rose seemed to worried and distracted to be able to tell them herself. Before I could talk Lora gently pushed my head back down. Another explosion went off, shaking the tavern. Everyone lost their balance. As everyone went to regain their balance an arrow flew from the streets, piercing the male mage, killing him. As everyone looked over and regained their balance it was too late. A female dark elf, Switch was jumping in the tavern. Dodger, being the closest to her, tried to draw his dagger. He was too slow and she used a small throwing knife to stab into the defenseless female mage. As the mage held on to her life after being stabbed over and over again, Dodger got to the dark elf and drove his dagger into her back. Her body fell along with the mage, both were dead.
"No" Lora said.
"Look out!" Rose yelled out. Everyone turned to see the Switch archer who shot before readying another arrow. He shot it before anyone could prepare. It killed the Knight soldier who helped carrying me. His body bumped the table I laid on as he slid down dead. Before he could shoot another arrow another arrow flew from the alley behind him and stabbed through his head. His body went limp as he fell down to the ground. This revealed Snake who stood with his own bow. He saw us and then ran over.
"Turtle, what happened?" He called out making his way to my side.
"My...shell." I tried to say. I looked over at Rose who knew my shell could be removed. Her eyes lit up as she came to a understanding.
"His shell, it can be removed!" She cried out. With that they were all sitting me up. Both Dodger and Snake reached over and attempted to get my shell off. They first had to take my top off and then struggle to get my shell off without causing me too much pain. After a struggle they were able to slip my shell off. I was laid back down on the table as the pain grew worse. Dodger took a cloth he had with him and continued to apply pressure as Rose went to find medical supplies. I looked over at Lora and smiled. She had tears forming in her eyes. I nodded at her, thinking that this might be it. I might die here. My body was growing weak as I could no longer lift my arm that was being squeezed by Lora. I could hear Rose making her way back to the table, dumping everything she found by Dodger and Snake who attempted to help me. My head fell back on the table. My smile slowly left my face as a realization that I'm dying hit me.
"Stay with us Turtle!" Dodger said, throwing that cloth away and grabbing a new one Rose brought to continue to soak up blood and stop the bleeding. As that I could hear Lora crying along with Rose now as my vision grew dark as my eyes slowly closed. Before I knew it I was unconscious. Everything was dark, I couldn't hear anything.
Suddenly a light shinned through the darkness. I felt my body walking toward the light. I had no control of my body, It was like I was just riding in a uncontrolled wagon. I looked down to see my wound was gone, with no blood. I looked up to see me nearing the light. When arriving the world around me turned into this blinding whiteness. Once my eyes adjusted, I found myself in a bright open room. There was a bed with white cloth and blankets. A wooden bench made from birch. The ground was a smooth quartz. After looking around I noticed the girl laying on the bed. She wasn't there the first time I looked but after turning she was. I approached her, I still had no control over where I was going. Getting closer to the bed, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Rose. She wore this white blouse, she showed a lot of skin. She looked up at me with a smile. I went to speak but as I opened my mouth, no sound came out. "Hey!" She called out to me. I looked confused as to why I couldn't control my body, I couldn't talk. I was being forced to just sit back and watch. "Are you going to come to bed with me?" Rose said. I was shocked to why she would ask me that.
"Of course." A mans voice echoed behind me. My body turned and again I couldn't believe my eyes. The tall figure slowly walked my way. He wore all white royal wear. Even his wings was decorated to look more royal. My body stood right in Pyged's path as he neared the bed where Rose was inviting him. I was confused, scared, and now angry. My body stood in his way, it looked as if he was going to run into me but to my surprise his body just simply walked through mine. He walked through me like I wasn't even there. He climbed in bed and started to kiss on Rose's shoulder and started to move up to her neck. Rose giggled and looked to be enjoying his affection. After kissing her on the lips he rolled over and laid closely to her.
"How is my king tonight?" Rose said.
"Lovely darling." Pyged said. Again I went to speak, but I couldn't. I went to walk, but couldn't. I was being forced to watch as Pyged called Rose darling and kiss on her. "What's the matter, does this make you angry?" Pyged said. I looked up after trying to move. Both Rose and Pyged were staring up where I was standing.
"This could of been yours Turtle. You could of had...me." She said.
"Just think, you could of had such a better life." Pyged said.
"A life with a lover." Rose said.
"A live as a hero." Pyged said.
"Friends, no family." Rose said. Both of them talking in a pattern. It was quite creepy. I tried to look away but not being able to move restricted me.
"Does this uncomforted you!" Pyged yelled at me, leaping out to me. His body collided with mine this time, instead of going through it. Both our bodies fell back, crashing through the wall. We broke through revealing the black abyss world around us. It felt as I had control of my body again, as I was holding on to him as he held me over the edge. I couldn't move though almost like I was forced to not fight back. "To know I won, and you lost. So many you promised too!" Pyged yelled at me. Suddenly I had feeling in my arm. I moved it in relief. I looked up to see Pyged still holding me. I don't know why but out of anger I punched Pyged across the jaw. With that it caused him to let me go. It was a mistake though as I felt my body begin to fall. I turned to see me flying to the ground quickly. Right as I crashed against the ground, everything went dark again like before this nightmare begun. I was kneeling on the ground, back in the dark abyss. "I want to be a traveler like you." Nina's voice echoed through the darkness.
"Rose. Its Rose Underhell. Thank you, for helping me." Rose's voiced echoed.
"You just don't get it do you turtle man? Were taking this stuff." Pyged's voice echoed.
"Where are my manners, I'm Koz." Koz's voice echoed.
"I'm going to let you down, but I swear anything happens to her...your a dead man, I don't care how many pieces of metal I have to fight to do it." My voice echoed through the abyss. "So whats your name?" My voice echoed.
"Lora." Lora's voice echoed.
"Oh hi, I'm Loshi." Loshi's voice echoed.
"Turtle, you remembered me!" Dodger's voice echoed.
"The...Kingdoms, are the reason this war...continues. With the kings fallen, will...end it." Pyged's orc echoed.
"Pyged Arynth." Pyged's voice echoed.
"If your friends are in danger like that girl said they are, you can't just stand by and let them get hurt, you'll never forgive yourself." The bartender's voice echoed.
"No, I'm also here asking that you join me. Im going to ask you one more time, join me. No one goes against me. Not even you." Pyged's voice echoed.
"Snake." Snake's voice echoed.
"You wanna know why I don't just kill you, Turtle? Your one of the people I want to let, see this world saved, even if you think otherwise. I want to see you live a life without ever worrying about a thing." Pyged's voice echoed.
"Yeah, it was a tough choice, but I felt I was the only one capable of leading what was left of my kingdom." Nina's voice echoed.
"Turtle?" Rose's echoed.
"I don't know your thought of imprisonment is, but does this look like prison. I didn't throw her in a cell with two meals a day! I gave her a bed, a soft one, I gave her servants and maids, good ones! I gave her clothe, nice ones, I gave her a palace, a pretty one. A lover, to accompany her." Pyged's voice echoed. As each voice echoed, images of the person talking flashed in my head.
"Nightmares the name, it doesn't matter if you know, you'll be dead soon anyway." Nightmare's voice echoed.
"Heh, we have a fool, I'm Turtle, now whats your real name?" Turtle's voice called out.
"Red? And one last thing Turtle...do not spare Pyged, kill him." Koz's voice echoed.
"Thats right, Turtle!" Snake's voice echoed.
"Pyged will save us all. He saved me and my sister...from you human loving freaks." That Switch's voice echoed.
"Make sure to tell me every detail of your victory if you achieve it. Until next time old friend." Koz's voice echoed.
"And Turtle, Thank you for this. I can't promise I'll be so willing to keep you alive next time, don't think my kindness is forever now on because it's not." Nightmare's voice echoed.
"Please, I only needed you for your armies. You meant nothing to me, never did." Pyged's voice echoed.
It's good to see you aren't dead." Nina's voice echoed.
"Again...again I gave you a chance. You could of ran, you could of took your stupid little mate and ran off. Nightmare failed and you survived. You could of ran. I would of left you alone...but instead you fight. You fight and you fight and you fight. But you always lose!" Pyged's voice echoed.
"Look at it as you will. Where alive to fight another day. Villages can be rebuilt, lives can't be brought back." The Cloaked general's voice echoed.
"Alright then, lets go save the world." My voice echoed.
"You see Turtle, all these people you met, each one had a different affect on you, good...bad." Pyged's said behind me. I turned to see him standing behind me in the dark. "I gave you enough chances, I thought at least. Yet I warned you, I said if you go against me, I will kill you, yet you still pursued to go against me. Now look." Pyged said. With that a pain formed in my gut. I looked down to see my stab back on my stomach. "Well, this is it Turtle. Goodbye." Pyged said as he turned and started to walk off into the darkness. My body collapsed over and the world around me begun to fade away.
