*Gian's POV*
I'm so sad. Me fell asleep last night so I dunno what happened. But, when I woke up while mommy and daddy are sleeping, daddy is sleeping on the floor while me and mommy sleeps on the bed. Me was hoping that mommy and daddy would sleep together in bed with me.
"Hello, mamee." I greeted mommy when she entered the living room. "Where's tito 'Athanyel? Me didn't see him all morning."
Mommy smiled and fixed my shirt. "Baby, tito Nathan needs to work."
"Eeh. But, Gian wants to see 'im."
"He'll be back soon."
"Eeeh. I want to see him now."
"But, Gian."
"Puhwease (Please)? Pwetty pwease (Pretty please), mamee? I pwomise (promise) I'll be good." I begged. Because, I really, really, really want to see daddy.
Mommy smiled and patted my head. "Ok, ok. I'll go tell tito Nathan that you want to see him."
Really? "Yeheeey! Thank you, mamee!"
"I'll just go get my things then I'll call tito Nathan." mommy added.
I nodded happily. Waaaa. Gian so happy. Me going to see daddy! I'm going to ask daddy if we can go to the mall and play! Me wants to play with my daddy like other babies out there. Before, only daddy Sam plays with me. But, me wants to play with my daddy so me really happy because me going to play with my daddy!
Me thinks that me should not play much with daddy Sam. Because daddy Sam loves mommy. But mommy loves daddy. So if me plays with daddy Sam. Me would hurt his feelings because me wants my mommy and daddy be together. Me don't want to hurt daddy Sam because he is nice to me. But, what can Gian do? Mommy loves daddy and daddy loves mommy. Daddy Sam is nice enough to accept that, right?
"Gian?" I turned and saw mommy waiting for me. "Tara?"
I smiled. Yeheey! I'm going to meet daddy right now!
Mommy, then, reached for my hand and together, we made our way to the car. Eeeeeeh! I'm so happy.
When we entered the car, mommy turned the car on and started driving.
I glanced at mommy and smiled at her. Then, I sat down properly because I pwomised (promised) mommy that I'll be good so I must behave. Daddy Sam told me that one must keep his pwomises (promises) or he will be punished by a thousand needles so I always keep my pwomises (promises) because I don't want to be punished by those needles and because I am a good boy.
"Gian?" mommy called. I turned and smiled at mommy. "Do you really want tito Nathan to be your daddy?"
I nodded slowly. "Yes, mamee. Me wants tito 'Athanyel to be my daddy."
"Why?"
"Why? Hmmm. Because he is my daddy."
"But you call Sam 'daddy'. Don't you like tito Sam as a daddy?"
I shook my head fast. "No, mamee."
Mommy frowned. "Bakit? I thought love mo si daddy Sam."
"Yes, mamee. I love daddy Sam. But I want tito 'Athanyel to be my daddy."
"Why?"
"Because I can play with him." I said.
"Nakikipaglaro ka din kay daddy Sam."
"Opo, mamee. But, mamee, you don't love daddy Sam. He can't be my daddy."
"I do love Sam." mommy told me.
I shook my head. "No, mamee. You love daddy Sam because he is your besplen (bestfriend). You don't kiss your besplen (bestfriend) on the lips so he can't be my daddy even though he loves you. He can't be my daddy because my daddy is tito 'Athanyel and you love tito 'Athanyel that's why he is my daddy. And tito 'Athanyel always play games with me so I like him. I can't play much with daddy Sam now because I dun (don't) wanna hurt 'im."
"Pano mo naman masasaktan si Sam?" mommy asked.
"Ehh." I scratched my head to think. How should explain it to mommy? It's compilclated (complicated). But, me should try because I told mommy I'll be good. "If me play with daddy Sam, me would hurt him because me wants tito 'Athanyel as my daddy. If me don't play much with daddy Sam, me wouldn't hurt him much because he don't love me very much. Gee. It's so clompliclated (complicated), mamee."
Mommy smiled and held my hand. "I know. Life's complicated, baby."
I just shrugged and watched the road. After a moment, the car stopped in front of a capfe (cafe). I turned to mommy. "Mamee, why al (are) we stoppin'?"
Mommy fixed my hair and shirt. "We're going to meet tito Nathan here then, we'll eat snack at the cafe."
"Really?" I asked mommy. Mommy nodded. "Yeeeeey! Thank you, mamee!"
Mommy smiled then she glanced up. "There's tito Nathan."
"Whele (where)?" me asked when me turned to the window.
"Across the road."
"Tito 'Athanyel!" me called at daddy when me saw him. He smiled when he saw me.
"Let's go, baby?" said mommy then, she stepped out of the car and went over at my side.
When mommy opened the door, I climbed down the car with mommy's help. I'm so excited!

*Gianna's POV*
Napaluhod ako sa tabi nila Nathan at Gian. No. It can't be. I can't lose them. I just can't.
"Dalhin nyo sila sa hospital! Dali!" I heard someone shout through the chaos.
Yes. Yes, bring them to the hospital. Please.
Nakita ko nalang na binuhat ng ilang mga kalalakihan sina Nathan at Gian na duguan. Tapos, may tumulong sa akin at inakay ako sa sasakyan kung saan sinakay sina Nathan.
Ewan paano pero, nung narealize ko, nasa hospital na kami at itinatakbo na nila sina Nathan at Gian sa emergency room.
"Ma'am? Ayos lang po ba kayo?" tanong nung isang nurse sa akin.
It was then when it sinked in to me. I can still see it in my mind's eye. Gian suddenly crossed the road after climbing down the car. He didn't even wait for me. Tapos, sinalubong sya ni Nathan kasi may paparating na sasakyan. But in the end, sila pang dalawa yung naaksidente.
Remembering it made my heart break. And when I realized it, I was crying so hard that the nurse suggested giving me something that can make me calm. But, how can I be calm? My son and his father could be dying there!
"Ma'am, please, huminahon lang po kayo. Ginagawa po namin lahat." paninigurado sa akin nung nurse tapos pumunta na kung saan dinala yung mag-ama ko.
Naiwan akong mag-isang dinadaan-daanan ng mga nagmamadaling doctor at nurse ng ER. Napasandal nalang ako sa pader habang umiyak at kumikirot yung dibdib ko. Ang sakit lang nung nakita ko. Natatakot ako. Baka may mangyaring masama sa mag-ama ko.
Napapikit nalang ako. Tukso namang pumasok sa isip ko yung itsura nila. Parehong duguan yung katawan dahil sa nabasag na windshield. Pero mas duguan si Gian kasi sya yung nasugatan ng mga bubog. Nangilabot ako sa pagkakaalala sa kanila. Wag naman sana. Hindi ko kakayanin pag nawala sila. Please don't let history repeat itself.
Napaupo ako sa sahig at niyakap yung dalawang tuhod ko. Ang sakit ng dibdib ko. Sobrang sikip. Ba't ganyan? Ang gusto ko lang naman, sumaya si Gian. Ba't napunta kami sa gantong kalagayan?
"Excuse me," I glanced up and saw an middle-aged doctor running towards me. "Kayo po ba yung kasama nung dalawang nasagasaan?"
I stood up and tried to calm myself. "Opo. Mag-ama ko po sila. B-bakit po? Kumusta na sila?"
"Stable na ang asawa mo, pero,"
"Pero ano?"
"Your son lost a lot of blood. He needs a blood transfusion. For now, natanggal na namin yung mga salaming bumaon sa katawan nila."
Napatitig ako sa doctor. "I can't possibly be the donor. My son and I have a contrasting blood type. That's why he was hospitalized for a week when he was born."
The doctor nodded. "That's actually possible. What about your husband?"
I wiped the tears away. "Can he handle it?"
"I'm pretty sure he can."
"Please. Do whatever you can." I can't let history repeat itself.
