Liam poked my belly while the doctor squirted some gel on it. Today is the big day. Time to find out if this baby is a boy or girl. Lalli would have came if she wasn't so keen about seeing some boy. I watched the screen closely. The child's head was really large and moving around in circles.
"Wanna hear the heartbeat?" The doctor asked.
"Yes!"
Strong heartbeats filled the small pale blue room. This is what keeps me going. My baby. My soul. My heart. Liam seemed to be enjoying himself also. His cheeky smile made me want to burst.
"Baby is very healthy, Isabella! Would you like to know the gender? If not, I keep it in a secret file." She asked.
I nod.
My doctor shifted the wand a little to the private area. I couldn't make out anything but his/her wiggly legs. Dr. Crawford pointed at a tiny speck in the screen. Still wasn't able to see anything. I'm already going blind! Stupid age.
Liam entwined our hands and said the most beautiful words ever. "A boy. A little bouncing baby boy!"
