Michaels POV
She did it again, pulled at my chest and yanked at my soul. It was a place I get lost a lot, her eyes. Just like honey, or a sweet fall day, her lashes like the gates to heaven softly drawing me in, almost hypnotically.
I eyed the bag of food sitting on the desk, her smell still lingering in the room.
How is it, that even though the entire fucking school destroyed her, humiliated her, and demolished her reputation yet...she realizes I didn't eat and brings me food?
I should've been the one to bring her dinner, I should've wrapped her in my arms and held her while she cried, told her it was okay and it'll be okay and that I'd tear the heads off everyone who even decided to whisper it to another.
Yet I won't, because I shouldn't get involved, not with her.
Her kiss still lingered warm on my cheek, id barely rid the kiss of her lips and didn't need another reminder that we'll never work.
God Annalise, you fucking Angel, you're killing me. If only you'd see, open up and see that these vampires, the humans, are not worthy of you.
I opened the bag and reached In pulling out the
Box and opening it eyeing the spicy chicken.
A small barely there smile slipping over my lips before I realized it was there and wiped it away.
She'll either be my ending or my beginning.
I haven figured it out yet.
I've thought of just bringing her to the darker side...maybe that'll work. Maybe if she hated them the way I do, we could be something.
Maybe she'd rule beside me, be the ruler beside me and we'd own both castles, uniting the Vangsvere and Nysrough castles.
She'd make a great leader.
She'd be an even greater mother though, and I couldn't see anyone else raising my kids than her.
Anne's POV
I spent most of Tuesday hiding in my dorm and having Lily bring me my homework and assignments. Jolene stopped by with snacks and even sat watching a movie with me.
Then she gave me an inspiring story about my mom, apparently my mom got a lot of lash for having a crush on Lucious. Yet she took it in strides and impressed everyone when she walked into class with her head held high.
Jolene even told me that she didn't mind me liking Michael and said if the world hadn't shamed my mom from Lucious then today's war would be a lot smaller in population.
I woke up Wednesday and headed to my classes with confidence thinking of her the entire time.
Combat class was the funnest, as usual.
Giving the rope a hard pull, I laughed as Matty missed his shot. This whole piñata beating thing was a fun way to end the year.
I eyed Koda, "You gotta be fast." I said watching him nod "I got this Lise, just don't cry when the candy goes flying at your face."
Laughing sarcastically, I gave it a hard yank as he tried to punch it, then I dropped it as he tried kicking it. Next!
I handed the rope to Michael avoiding eye contact and walking to the piñata.
Watching him carefully, I threw a hard punch, missed. One more try.
Pretending to stretch, I quickly jabbed my foot into the piñata, it broke and I smiled.
I looked to Bronx shaking my head and grabbing a paper with a number on it.
Abe filled it with numbers for the New Years serving. This was how long we had to serve before we where free.
I decided if they all lost their New Years to me, I'd join them.
"Three hours." I said laughing and sitting on the floor grabbing a York chocolate bar and taking a bite of it.
Bronx eyed his paper throwing it down and grabbing a new one.
I grabbed it and laughed as I read five hours. That's the whole party.
He smirked at me and gave me a wink.
I crumpled the paper and shoved it into my wrapper.
"Time?" Abe asked each of us.
I grabbed the one hour one in plain sight and handed it to Michael who stood not holding a paper and he stared at it.
"One hour." He said handing it to Abe.
I held mine up "three." I said watching Michael eye me.
I would've taken the one hour but this new dark Michael made me think that him serving people is scary. Who knows who might piss him off and get killed.
Pulling my hair up into a ponytail I grabbed a few more candies shoving them in my sweater pocket "If you gave your time you can leave. I'll see you all tomorrow." Abe said dismissing us early.
He stopped me and pulled me aside "You alright? I know that the incident yesterday really affected you." He said.
I shook my head "I'm fine really Abe, I'm sorry they added your name on it. I know that could ruin your reputation as well." I'm sure a lot of jocks thought he was a player now. His poor Alice probably got angry.
He gave me a small smile and I smiled "See you tomorrow."
I headed out the door grabbing my bag, Roxy stood by the door eyeing me "Do you all just fuck each other in there? Or do you let them take turns?" She asked.
Ignore her.
She eyed Koda "He's hot, you ever banged?" She asked watching me intently.
I scoffed "A couple days ago I found out he's my cousin, so no Roxy, we didn't. Thankfully." I said tightening my shoe laces.
The bitch leaned into the wall her face in mine "You are such a dirty girl. You fucked your cousin?" She's stirring shit.
Breathe Anne.
"I can't wait to tell the girls that." She leaned back and I turned to her placing my bag down and calling to Koda "Sorry I kicked your girlfriends ass Koda!" I shouted before tossing four hard punches one after the other into the bitches face.
Her once pretty face now bloody and beaten.
Grabbing the back of her hair, I slammed it into the water fountain a few times before I was pulled off.
Abe shouted for me to let her go and I slammed my knee into her face tossing her aside and shoving Abe off me.
He eyed me and Koda sighed "Fuck." He knelt down to help her up and I smirked crossing my arms over my chest.
"You need to stop beating up every girl who calls you a slut or bitch." Abe said annoyed.
I looked over at him in disgust before Michael stepped forward and shrugged "I think the girl deserved it." He said picking my bag up and handing it to me.
My heart fumbled lightly and I watched him walk off to heaven where he should because he's a damn angel.
No, he actually just walked down the hall but damn did he look good doing it.
I watched Abe scowl at me "This is your last warning Anne, I could kick you from the course." He said aggravated.
Oh now he wants to talk about kicking out of things?
Stepping close to him, I looked up at him and caught his eyes leaning into his ear "If the council new you even came close to fucking a student, I'm sure you'd be stripped of your status." I pulled back smirking "You can't touch me Abe." I stated watching his jaw drop as I walked away. I called a small "Alice deserves better."
Don't fuck with me, or I'll destroy you.

'That's the Anne I like to see.'
I don't think he meant for me to hear that....
But what can I say? I really like making him proud. Honestly I get more happiness making him proud than I do knowing one day I'll maybe possibly save all these fuckers.
If I ever go dark, I'll have to have Lily, Lincoln, Eva and Jolene join. Maybe Bronx and Thomas too.
Smirking, I headed to the dining hall.
