17th June 2039, 8.00am, Alaska Mountains, Secret Protected Base.
"Hey Patch! Fetch!" A kid from a distance named Lily threw a Frisbee as patch the little puppy fetched it. "You're really awesome today patch! Treat time!" Patch wagged his little tail as he licked lily's face.
"Mom! Look at Patch! He did his best catch today!" Lily carried patch and rushed to Lyra.
"That's wonderful dear! Let's go and have lunch with the rest of the villagers lily!" With that, Lyra and Lily along with patch sat down at a long stretch of table filling a max of 50 people.
"Oh! Lyra! Take a seat!" Joseph said as he poured a glass of lime juice for the kids. "Thanks, I will fetch the dog food for the pups and the dogs." Lyra went on to fetch a huge bag of doggy treats for all the dogs and puppies as they all ran around the benches and tables. "Isn't that lovely? I love how we are all living such a wonderful life now with our villagers and new soldiers, although we have enough military protection that is already here since the apocalypse starts." Jane, a widow stated as everyone cheered and begin to feast. "Where's Peter?" Simon the carpenter asked as he ate the entire meat steak in his mouth. "Careful Simon you don't want to get choked." Rose the lady farmer patted on his back.
"He should be coming here soon with the rest of the commander pups." Raiden the gunsmith said as he pours a can of coke into a glass of ice.
Somewhere near the dining area, a loud voice can be heard. "Attention!" Peter, who is wearing a Staff Sergeant uniform, commanded the soldiers to gather. Entire squad and soldiers are now in position.
"Staff Sergeant Peter will now report the total strength to warrant officer Chase The Pup." Zuma, who is now an emcee, have practiced well enough to become an emcee for the Alaska Family Base. I marched out towards the scene as Peter gave me the respect and at ease himself upon my command. "Soldiers, at ease!" I commanded as the 100 soldiers at eased as I announced. "Soldiers!"
"Yes warrant officer Chase!!!"
"Lunch time!!!" I shouted as everyone dashed to the benches and joined the civilians for lunch.
"Goodness me! Skye you should be proud of your fiancé, look at how handsome he is today." Doris the poodle dog said as Skye giggled. "He's my forever dear alright." Skye looked at me as the soldiers and the rest of the paw patrol pups and dogs rushed to the benches as everyone started to chat and eat together.
"Well how's the newcomer ceremony?" Tracker pat me at the back as I jumped towards the table and grabbed a can of coke. "Pretty lit." I said as I opened the coke and poured into a glass. "Its been awesome since we are here for more than seven months plus."
"Of course! We are subsidized around this area for refugees and aiding centre. Not just that, and your newly promoted warrant officer Chase at your service." I laughed as Tracker laughed back at me. "Okay boss I will lick your butt now."
"F**k you haha."
"I thought you like it? That time licking that asshole's butt."
"I'm glad he's killed by our brothers over there." I said as I pointed to dug, Staff sergeant Peter and Dogmeat.
"Yes we heard you Chase!!! You are f**king welcome bro!" As Staff Sergeant Peter pointed a middle finger in the air.
"Peter!" Lyra said as he hit his back.
"Sorry mama Lyra!" Peter chuckled as Lyra started to run after him as they both ran down the hill. "Come back Peter! Let "mama" teach you a lesson!"
"Haha... those two. Always have an issue. Hey Chase I'm gonna go and get some pup treats, want some?" Tracker said as he stood up in four paws and carried his weapon at his back.
"Sure. Thanks Tracker." He nodded as he left the area.
I sat down with my warrant officer uniform, which arrived a few days ago as I was promoted with a new survivor badge, which technically issued to me personally. Now I have three badges, pretty cool.
I sat down on the grassland field on top of the mountain, as I looked across the world to see how tall we have came to, and how long we have survived till today as we are sitting here. I looked around the scenery in front of me. Knowing how safe we are here today, shows how much we have survived till this day.
"Hey dear. What are you doing here?" Skye walked towards me as we both hugged and licked each other.
"Scenery viewing dear."
"You sure it's just scenery viewing?"
I looked at her for a second and I replied to her.
"Sigh. I miss Ryder, Scamp and Angel, Rubble, Rocky, Marshall and Everest a lot."
Skye heard what I was saying as Spike and Tracker walked towards me. "Food's here Chase." Spike said as both of them sat down beside me as Skye lay against my body.
"Thanks. Skye, I know I shouldn't be thinking of that now but, they should be here with us. They don't deserve to die out there."
Zuma walked slowly and sat down beside Tracker as the five of us are now sitting together.
"I almost died out there. I've always been lucky. I just hoped that they didn't die.
I thank you guys for always being there for me, fighting together as one since we entered the military camp till paw patrol is formed. Yes I know the lookout tower is long gone, now we are here, up the mountains on a hill, looking at the world below us. We conquered the world, DOGS."
I said as the rest of the paw patrol howled with happiness as Skye licked my face as I stared across the world manly.
Dug, Dogmeat and Peter joined us and sat down together as eight survivors after hearing the howl of happiness.
"We might be from different backgrounds in this world. Some poor, some rich, some like me who lost parents. We been through a lot together, and we are here today, safe from the apocalypse world and we will defend our new home."
"I talked to Scamp's parents over there. Lyra and Derain, and their daughter lily. It seems like Scamp's biological parents passed away weeks ago. Scamp and Angel are free and enjoying their paradise in heaven now." Staff Sergeant Peter said as he looked up the sky.
"We are a family. We will protect one another. I love you guys. Thanks for always being here for me."
I said as every eight of us hugged each other as we stood up and walked past seven graveyard stones, each carved for Everest, Marshall, Scamp, Angel, Ryder, Rocky and Rubble. We looked at the graves a while as the eight of us walked past our cargo plane which is now parked for emergency purposes.
"I'm joining the rest for some food. You guys go ahead." Staff Sergeant Peter said as he walked towards the benches.
"We might be just small pups, but we are one family. We will always fight our rights to defend ourselves to keep one another safe. It is not about how much time we have left after every single day passed, it is about how we use it and continue living a life that we all remember. I am Chase The Pup, used to be an ex-police k9 detective pup, currently posted as a warrant officer of the military, signing out." I said to everyone around me as they looked at me and cheered.
I feel so happy in my life today which I always called an almost death during those survival days.
Therefore without thinking, I ran off leaving the dogs at the back, took off my uniform and my police beret and placed them on the table, as an ordinary German Shepherd elder pup dog, now dashes towards the peak of the mountain hill.
"Guys!! Chase is doing the call of the wild!!" Staff Sergeant Peter shouted to everyone as every soldier, civilian,dogs and pups cheered and howled for me as I reached the top of the mountain hill.
I stood on my four paws, closing my eyes. Taking a step back and take a deep breath as I yelled out:
"Woooooooooooofffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!"
