I fluttered my eyes open and just saw whiteness.
Am I dead?
No you dumbass, this is a hospital room.

So the curtain is closed... why?
I know just as much as you do.
I moved my arm, and it felt fine.
I lifted my head, I felt fine.
I moved my legs, I felt fine.
Just because I didn't drink water, does not mean I need to be in here.
I looked to my right and saw Lilli, asleep. She looked extremely uncomfortable.
The hospital is becoming our second home.
I took one of the pillows off my bed and sat up. I then gently lifted Lilli's head and put the pillow underneath.
I set her head back down.
The boys were whispering to each other.
I couldn't make out what they were saying.
That's the point of a whisper.
Shut up.
I needed something heavy to throw at them. Through the spot where the two curtains meet.
I looked to my right and saw a Kleenex box. I picked it up and just as I planned, I threw it through the spot.
"Ow." One of the boys mumbled.
The curtain then flew open. Immediately following-Hunter rushed to my right side, Lilli being asleep on my left.
He brought me into a hug.
"Don't do that ever again, you hear?" He whispered into my ear.
"Can't promise anything, that's the job of a burden, but you know why I ran off. Right?" I answered.
Hunter loosened the hug and sat on the bed beside me.
"You're still thinking about that dream?" He asked me.
I sighed,
"That's not the point. You know why I ran off, right?"
Hunter then sighed before nodding his head,
"He's awfully sorry. The whole time we've been waiting for you to wake up, he's been sitting there-crying."
A tear slipped my eye, Hunter then wiped it off with his thumb,
"You're not a burden. I'm telling you that right now. If anything, us guys enjoy saving you. It makes us feel that we have a purpose."
I smiled,
"Who did I hit with the box?"
Hunter chuckled,
"Darren."
"Oh my god, Darren come here." I said while giggling.
He walked over to us and looked at me while smiling,
"Yeah?"
"I didn't mean to hit anyone with the box. I just wanted it to hit the wall or something." I told him, still giggling.
Darren chuckled,
"It's all good, kid."
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his torso, me being at a low height due to sitting on the bed.
He wrapped his arms around my neck.
Then after a moment, we both let go.
"Noah's real sorry." He whispered before walking away and going back to where he was sitting before.
I looked down to the floor, not wanting to make eye contact with anybody.
I didn't know when Lilli had woken up, but she handed me my phone.
It was still charged, but the date was weird.
I frowned. Saturday?
I looked at Lilli with a confused face.
She nodded, knowing that I meant the date.
I widened my eyes.
I was out for a day?
Clearly.
Shut up, no one asked you.
Everyone suddenly stood up and walked out.
Except for Noah.
He was just as confused as I was.
We sat in silence for a few minutes but then I heard a sniffle.
Noah...
I moved my gaze from the floor to him.
He was looking at the floor.
He looked up and he looked at my eyes, I gestured my head as if I was saying 'come here'.
He came over without hesitation and sat down at the end of the bed.
"It's my fault you're here." He said, looking at the floor.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed his chin, moving his head so he was looking at me.
"I'm the dumbass who roasted the teacher, got detention, then sprinted way longer than I should have." I told him with a goofy smile.
His eyes suddenly lit up,
"You're not mad?"
I let out a 'pff' noise,
"How could I be?"
He brought me into a huge hug.
I giggled and hugged back,
"You're my twin. I can't stay mad. I can't be mad at you at all."
He tucked his head into the crook of my neck.
I smiled and sat there with him.
I still feel like a fucking burden, got anything to say, Amelia?
Yeah, listen to Hunter.
I mentally groaned.

"I want the hell outta here!" I yelled.
Noah and everyone else in the room burst into fits of laughter.
"It's been silent in here for five minutes. So you just randomly decide to yell?" Lilli asks, still laughing.
"Apparently." I answered sassily, tugging at the hospital blankets in boredom.
I moved my gaze to Hunter, he was looking at me in awe.
I scooted over and patted the spot beside me.
He smiled and stood up, holding his phone in his hand and walking over to the bed.
I scooted over as much as I could which gave Hunter quite a bit of space.
He sat down beside me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and cuddling me close to his body.
I snuggled up to him as I continued watching videos on my phone.
"Awe." I heard faintly.
I glared at Dylan, recognizing the voice.
He put his hands up in defence while I smiled at him.
"What about you and Lilli? Y'all want talk about that?" Hunter asks, I could hear the smirk in his voice.
Both of their faces turned a shade between fire truck red and tomato red.
"You and Lilli?" Kyle asked, looking at Dylan.
He kept his red face down while keeping his gaze on his phone.
I silently giggled into Hunters chest.
"Well, Miss. Flores, your vitals and scans look just fine. You'll be free to go whenever, just as long as someone signs the release papers." A nurse walked in and said.
I smiled, wanting out of this hell hole,
"I can't sign them?"
She sighed,
"Unfortunately, no, somebody else has to. Preferably your legal guardian, but if they're not here, it can be someone else."
I nodded.
She then walked out.
"Who do you want to sign the papers?" Noah asked me.
"Me, duh." Dylan said, pretending to flip hair off of his shoulder.
I chuckled.
"Shouldn't it be me? I'm her brother." Kyle stated, I rolled my eyes.
They're gonna keep going on and on about this.
"Actually, I should, I am her actual brother." Noah said.
I shook my head and smiled.
"What about me? I'm her boyfriend." Hunter explained.
"Nobody cares, Muffin man." Dylan said, which got him some laughs.
Hunter slightly chuckled before placing a kiss on my head.
I smiled,
"Lilli, do you wanna sign me out?"
"Yeah." Lilli answered, standing up and walking out of the room.
"Yeah, she's gotta go and pick the best friend." Dylan says, annoyed.
He's warming up to me, I can tell, so is everyone else.
Especially Hunter.
I'm glad that they're warming up to me, it's like one, huge family. A dysfunctional one.
A few moments later, Lilli walked back in with a nurse who began to take out my needles and crap.
It kinda hurt, actually, but I didn't show it.
"Alright, you're free to go once you get changed. There's a bathroom over there." The nurse said, pointing to the bathroom.
I nodded and she walked out.
"Here." Lilli said, handing me a bag with clothes in it.
I thanked her and stood up off of the bed, Hunter keeping one had on my stomach and one on my back.
"My god, I am not broken." I told him.
"I didn't know how bad your balance would be." He told me.
I rolled my eyes and walked the rest of the way to the bathroom on my own.
Lilli packed me my black 'Pink' sweatpants and a tight, white, cropped tank top. (Below)
Then after I slipped out of my hospital gown and I put these clothes on. I threw my hair into a messy bun before walking out.
I placed the gown on my bed and I walked out with Lilli, who was the only person in my room.
"I signed you out, the boys are waiting at the cars." She told me.
"Alright, who are we going with?" I asked.
She shrugged,
"Darren, Hunter and Dylan came in one car, Noah, Kyle and I came in another."
I nodded.
I shrugged it off and walked out.
We made our way to the parking lot and Lilli lead us to where the boys were.
"Let's go home." Noah said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
I nodded my head and yawned, realizing how tired I actually was.
How could I possibly be tired?
"Alright, Noah, Kyle and me in one car, Dylan, Lilli, Hunter and Kate in the other!" Darren yelled, getting our attention.
"We're all going to our house! We'll order pizza for dinner and watch movies after." Noah stated, getting into his BMW with his group that Darren made.
The whole gang is his group.
Boo-hoo.
"Okay!" Hunter answered as we all piled into his car.
Me and Lilli went in the back while the boys took the front.
"Kay, are you sure you don't want the front?" Hunter asked, looking at me through the rear-view mirror.
I nodded in response as he pulled out of the parking space and drove away.
