Thanksgiving had finally come around and while Kat normally saw this an any other day, this year was special.
Her and Tom stood at JFK airport waiting anxiously for their friend to arrive.
When Tom finally saw his best friend, he immediately called for him, Harrison smiling as he started walking towards them.
"Where is she?" Tom mumbled, trying to go on his tiptoes to get a glimpse but it was hard with the people.
When they finally did part, Tom was immediately on his knees when he saw her, "Tessa!"
Hearing the sound of his voice, Tessa bolted, leaving Harrison high and dry as she ran straight for Tom's arms.
Kat smile down at the scene when Harrison finally joined them, frowning when he saw Tom ignoring him, "Some best friend you are. I came with so many bags filled with your things."
"Thank you, mate," Tom chuckled, continuing to embrace Tessa though, letting her lick his face.
"He's finally reunited with his girl," Kat sighed happily.
"Are you excited to see your new home?" Tom cooed at Tessa, "Mummy's already got you a new bed and a whole bunch of new toys."
Kat's heart swelled at that and Harrison knew then that he lost them both.
As cute as it was, seeing them so happy, he still resisted the urge to roll his eyes so many times the entire journey to their home.
When they finally did get there and Tom was giving Tessa a tour, Kat stood with Harrison.
"So, you like?"
"Love," Harrison chuckled, "Why didn't you guys host Thanksgiving then? This place looks good."
"We don't necessarily have everything we need to actually host it," Kat sighed, "Still missing some things and mom wanted everything to be perfect so we're going to casa Del Perez."
"Your old place?" Harrison asked, confused.
"Yup. Everyone's over there now setting up. Tom! We should actually start heading out soon!"
"One second, darling!" Tom called out, "Still showing Tess around!"
Kat only smiled, shaking her head as she took Harrison's suitcase which she knew had Tom's things into their room.
"So. How has living with him been?"
"Surprisingly amazing," Kat joked, "He has been a bit of a downer at times cause he missed Tessa but with her here now, I'm sure he'll go right back to normal."
"I'm sure," Harrison chuckled, "He's just as obsessed with her as he is with you."
"Wow, that's refreshing to hear," Kat giggled, beginning to put Tom's clothes away, hesitating before finally asking, "How's his mom been?"
"You really have to stop worrying about her," Harrison sighed, throwing himself back on their bed.
"I can't help it, okay? I don't want her to hate me."
"She doesn't hate you. She could never hate you."
"Really? Cause I stole her son from her."
"You didn't steal me," Tom chuckled as he entered the room with an excited Tessa by his side, "If anything, I stole you."
"How about, none of you stole anyone? You moved here on your own free will," Harrison suggested.
"I guess."
"Can we get going, please?" Harrison now pleaded as he stood up, "I'm starving and I really want to see how your family's food compares to Z's."
"I still can't believe Alex ditched Thanksgiving with us to go to California," Kat pouted.
"Well, she is Z's girlfriend, babe," Tom chuckled, "She kinda had to go to her Thanksgiving."
"Na uh! I would never leave her on Thanksgiving for someone else."
"That's cause you don't have to," Harrison gave her a look, "Tom doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving."
"I'm going to start now," Tom beamed, "Baby, where's the sweater we got for Tess?"
"Ugh," Harrison cringed, "You two are like a little family and it makes me sick even thinking about it- I'm gonna wait in the car."
Harrison wasn't necessarily wrong about that.
By the time they got to Thanksgiving, they looked like the epitome of a family with Tessa sitting patiently with her little sweater on waiting by Tom while Kat held onto him and Harrison stood at their side like he was their son.
Karmen was the one to open the door, eyeing them a bit, "Did you all match on purpose?"
"Well, me Tom and Tess did but Harrison," Kat looked towards Harrison, only to smile brightly as she realized what he was wearing for the first time, "Aw! Haz! You want to be a part of the family?"
"This was a complete accident," Harrison blushed, "White is a very common color."
Kat only giggled, taking Tessa's leash from Tom as she went inside with the boys following.
"You're going to love her cousins. I'll introduce you to the entire family."
By the time Tessa met everyone and Harrison was introduced, everyone knew Tessa as Tom and Kat's child while Harrison was Tom's boyfriend.
They fit in immediately and were each having a great time- Harrison with the cousins and Tessa with the children.
Kat watched Tom and Tessa play with them, a smile on her face, resisting the urge to record them. She knew Kris already had that handled.
"Que lindo," her cousin cooed, "When are you two going to have a baby?"
Kat blushed a bit, shaking her head, "Em. We just moved in together."
"And?"
Kat only brushed her off when Magdalena called everyone to grab their dinner.
They all did as told and settled into the living room as best as they could like they did every year.
They have yet to find a table big enough the fit the entire family- especially now with Tom and Harrison joining.
Harrison was enjoying every single bite, Carter laughed as he recorded him when he dramatically sighed happily at the end of each bite while everyone else spoke.
Kat didn't know how the topic of her and Tom came up- or about Christmas.
One minute she was feeding Tessa and the next her cousin was calling for her attention.
"So. You two hosting Christmas this year?"
Kat looked towards Tom, unsure of what to say. She didn't even know if he wanted to spend it with them or go back to his own family.
Tom had other ideas though, "If Kat doesn't mind, yeah, I'd love that. My family's actually coming out here so we could celebrate Christmas together..."
"It'll be a Holland/Bailon Christmas!" Magdalena said excitedly, "I can't wait to finally meet your family, Tom."
"Mom," Kris chuckled, "Don't you think Tom and Kat could want to spend their first Christmas together? Alone?"
"But he just said he invited his family and if they're invited well so are we."
"That sounds great," Kat smiled now, "But I am not the only one cooking."
"Deal."
The family all began to talk about Christmas and how excited they were when Kat turned to Tom.
"I didn't know your family was coming."
"Yeah... sorry if I kind of sprung that on you."
"It's okay. We just have to find space for them to sleep. I don't think they'll all fit in one room."
"We'll figure it out, love," Tom smiled, placing a kiss at the top of her head, feeding Tessa a bit of his food himself while Kat mentally planned everything in her head.
The holiday may be a month away but she had to already begin planning if she wanted her and Tom's first Christmas together to be perfect.
