Billy’s P.O.V
The shock couldn’t be more evident on my face. “What? That couldn’t be further from the truth…” he clears his throat “Did she ever find out that you’re the Scorpion?” I nod my head sighing deep. “Last night, not long before she got stabbed.” His eyes suddenly light up for some reason, he smiles at me looking at Kat on the table and back to me. “If she knew you were the Scorpion she would of ran for it, but she stayed. Either you have really grown on her as a friend, too much for her to leave behind or maybe there’s more as to why she stayed.” I look over to her as the Doc spoke, trying to process this information. She’s lying there still, but from here I can see her breathing steady and color returning to her face. “I’ll be back son, I have to go notify Mr. Hargrove and Mr. Bellini. If anything happens while I'm gone give us a shout.” Nodding my head I spoke to him “Yes sir. Thank you Harry, for everything. I don’t know what I would of done if I was too late.” Before he exits through the double doors he looks at me “Billy, she’s a rarity in this world. Don’t take her for granted.” With that he leaves the room leaving me with my thoughts. I fall asleep and look at the clock on the wall, it’s 8 pm. She’s been out cold since this morning but I see her starting to move and mumble something. I jump off of the metal table putting my white dress shirt back on and buttoning it half way up. I'm beside the metal table that she lays on, getting close to her face to better hear her mumbles. “Billy.” Her face filled with worry and concern as she spoke “I can’t get out.” She’s having a nightmare, just as I put a hand on her arm she jumps up in a sitting position with our heads colliding. We’re both holding our foreheads from the impact. “Ow.” She mumbles which causes me to giggle then laugh. “Glad your awake princess. And graceful as ever.” This causes her to laugh and me to laugh with her. “Glad you two are getting along.” My dad’s voice boomed in this small medical room. We both stop laughing and turn our attention to the double doors. There stood the doctor, my dad and John.
Kat’s P.O.V
I was locked up in a cage, Billy in front of me being confined by two guys in ski masks. “Billy!” tears were rolling down my face as I helplessly cried out for him. “I can’t get out!” Then I felt a hand on my arm just as I saw a face appear in front of me covered in a ski mask. I woke up suddenly sitting up or at least tried to when my head collided with something hard. I opened my eyes as my hand went to my forehead holding the place that aches. Billy is in front of me doing the same action I was, I guess it was his face that I collided with. “Ow.” I mumbled from the headache I was getting that caused Billy to giggle and laugh. “Glad your awake princess. And graceful as ever.” This makes me laugh from the sarcasm of his words. Then the booming voice I was dreading to hear spoke from behind. “Glad you two are getting along.” That voice caused us to instantly stop our laughter and whip our heads to the source. Standing behind me was the two bosses and good ol’ Dr. Harry. “Dr. Edwards, Bellini, Hargrove.” I nod my head to them acknowledging their presence. “I- we were quite worried about you Siren.” Neil spoke, for some reason I sensed the evil behind his words although he is now smiling. “Well, you should be. I mean losing a Siren especially on your hands. That could lead to very bad things.” I cross my arms over my chest. “Thankfully this gentlemen behind me and Dr. Harry fixed the mistake you have made. If it weren’t for these two, I wouldn’t be here right now.” John notices my anger more pinned to Neil and begins to speak. “Kat, we are deeply sorry about what has happened. We have men all on the matter as to why this has happened, I'm- we are on the matter as well.” I nod my head. “You are leaders of the greatest gangs in this country, getting to the top 3 in the world. Yet you managed to slip. I have been a leader of the Bulldogs for a short while but not even in that entire time did the entire gang lose as much blood as I did this one night. From a ex leader to an existing one, get your shit together. I will not be apart of either one of your gangs.” I know the fire in me burst and this fire will have deadly consequences especially speaking to a gang so high up on the food chain. Neil then bursts out with rage “We need you! You’re the only one who is worthy enough to marry the Scorpion and to be next in line with him.” I shake my head “So to you the only reason why your grateful I'm alive is because your son has a worthy enough wife. No Neil.” I told him with the most nonchalant face I could muster. "We will get you to join us, whether that’s the easy way or the hard.” I bitterly laugh and hop off the metal table and make my way around them to leave without looking back I speak “Thank you Dr. for fixing me up, bye gentlemen. My Siren days with you is now over.” I leave the medical room, and exit the building thankfully not coming into any contact with anyone. I have to go home and leave, they will send someone to get me. Hopefully they won’t stoop low to hurt my family, but if they do I have to get them out and send them to my hide out where I know they will be safe. I take out my phone that I hid on me, calling the house phone. On the second ring Steve picks up. “Kat? Is that you?” Steve asked almost in a begging way. “Hey Teddy, I need you to pack your stuff and tell our parents to pack their stuff as well. Only essentials. Everything they need is taken care of but It’s an emergency, so at home under my desk is taped a map of the place I need you guys to go to. I got in trouble with gang things and I need to know you guys are safe. I have another hide out that I can go to for now without them following me to you guys. I have to go now but I love you guys, I don’t care if we’re not blood. Your my brother and family no matter what. Don’t try to contact or try to find me, I will call you guys when I can to let you know of the situation.” I could hear the shock in his voice “Kat, promise me you’ll be careful.” I nod my head I know typically he would lecture me but I guess the sound in my voice told him not to this time. “I promise.” He sighs “I love you sis.” Without crying knowing this might be the last time I hear his voice for a while I stifled out some words. “Love you too brother.” Then hang up. I throw the phone away and I make my way through the back roads of the streets home knowing that I could easily hide than as if I'm on the main roads. I make my way home thankfully not running into their cars including Billy’s. I did see a few cars I know were some gang members cars but I thankfully hid before they could spot me. I turn the corner onto my street but instead of walking in front of the houses I run behind the first house on my right and walk the rest of the way behind the houses to avoid being spotted. I walk through my next door neighbours yard and see the lights are on in my house. Did they not leave when I specifically told them we’re in trouble. They either didn’t leave or they did but tried to pull a trick if we have guests, making them think we’re home. I carefully walk up to the door opening it quietly I don’t hear any noises, stepping inside I don’t spot anyone so I don’t waste any time and run through the house and up to my room. Quicker I get to my room the better chances I have to defend myself. Opening my door I go to my desk and spot that the paper is gone, I hope they made it there safe. I ran into my closet grabbing my hockey bag and placing it on my bed opening it and going back to my closet. On the floor there is a small secret opening that conceals the things that are essential. I hear noises and immediately stop, I grab the gun I keep in my secret spot and aim in front of me finger on trigger ready to shoot if I spot someone. I walk out of my room slowly one foot in front of the other, stopping immediately when I hear voices downstairs “Search the place, we have to make sure she doesn’t go into hiding. If we had trouble looking for her while she was active, imagine what it would be like if she’s not.” Oh shit, I tip toe back into my room keeping my gun on the band of Billy’s shorts. I grab whatever I can and stuff in my cash that I have hidden in my secret spot, the other guns I have there, ammo, the letter I had since I was a baby and fake I.D’s. I think that my best escape would be through the garage with my bike or through the windows. I don’t waste any time and zip my bag up and hang it over my shoulder. I walk over to my window and peak outside making sure I don’t get caught. I see that there’s no one there, carefully I open the window and step on the roof closing the window behind me I tip toe on the roof knowing if I run or make too much noise they’ll for sure know I'm here. I climb up to go on the other side of the house where the pool and forest is. I make way to the end of the house past the pool where I know are no windows and jump down. I look behind me to focus on if they heard me or if they’re saying anything but I don’t hear anything. I run into the forest that’s in front of me and not looking back I make my way to my hideout in the forest. Walking for what seems like an hour I finally see the big tree that I have snuck out to when I want to be alone. The roots are out from under the ground and there’s a specific hole in the tree that’s the entrance, finding the hole I managed to push my big bag in the hole and then I heard voices. Shit they must of found out I was home. I quickly get on the floor wiggle my way under the root and climb in the hole. I put the fake ground I made on top of the hole so it doesn’t stick out that it’s a possible hide out. I grab my bag toss it over my shoulder, I crouch down and walk through the dark tunnel that leads to a massive underground hideout. It only consists of a average size living room, 5 decent sized bedrooms and 2 and half bathrooms. I built this in case my main family hideout (the one Steve and our parents are at) gets corrupted in any way and vice versa with this one. The other hideout is just outside of town in the forest that’s in between Hawkins and Maysville and this one is just outside of the center of the Hawkins forest, no not the forest with the lab there’s another one that I'm in right now. There’s no electricity in either hideouts cause they can track any sort of activity like that so I'm keeping it really old school here. My eyes adjust to the dark and I enter the living room throwing my bag on the couch and go around the place to light candles. Once I'm done I walk into the kitchen to make myself a tea. Thank god I called them ahead of time, at least I know they would stoop down that low to get me to join them. I grab a mug running it under the water in the sink (it runs off of the underground water system here which thankfully can’t be tracked. Grabbing a small towel I wipe the mug and place it on the counter, with the towel in hand I grab the kettle putting some water in it and waiting for it to whistle. I hear the tea kettle screaming a few minutes later while I'm thinking of what my next move is. Sighing loudly I take out a chamomile tea bag placing it in the mug and taking the towel in my hand I hold the kettle and pour some water. Putting the kettle back on the stove I grab the mug and sit down on the couch sitting on one of my legs and the other propped up. “I had to run my mouth to them didn’t I?” I sigh out loud and sip my tea in peace trying to ease my mind. I will come up with some sort of plan tomorrow, but for now I should stay as calm as possible. I finish my tea in silence, a million things running through my mind but I get up from the couch and make my way to the kitchen putting the cup in the sink. I leave it there for morning and walk back over to the couch grabbing my bag and walk to the hallway with 4 doors 2 on the left and 2 on the right. I go into the last room on the left opening the door I walk in then close the door behind me. I take out my lighter and decide to light more candles in the room, dropping my bag on the bed I start lighting the candles and once it’s fully lit I put the lighter on the small night table beside my bed. I go to my bag and take out all the stuff in it. I put the letters, my main gun, ammo, and my fake I.D’s in the bedside table. I scatter the other guns I have, 3 to be specific and hid them in this room, I know my other weapons are hidden all throughout each hideouts so I only focus on hiding my guns in my room. When I'm done I put the limited amount of clothes in my dresser, I packed each hideout with clothes as well as disguises in case of anything. I put the bag under my bed and then blow out all the candles in my room, I keep everywhere else usually lit but only on nights like this where the moonlight is covered by clouds otherwise it would be all blown out. I pass out on the bed not bothering to change.
I wake up with a pain in my head, I open my eyes half way I see it’s all dark. Did I sleep all day? I try to move but the sound of chains immediately wakes me up, I try again to move however I can only get so far. A voice from the dark corners of the room interrupts me trying to plan my escape. “Glad your awake, Siren. You know your family got away, no one can find any of their tracks not even our best men.” He chuckles “But lucky us, you left behind a clue to your whereabouts.” Oh fuck, how could I be so stupid! I completely forgot to take the paper with me about the hideout I was staying at. “So how about we get to the chase, what do you want with me.” I spoke with as much confidence as I could, I heard the voice circling the room “Why get to the chase, I mean you are going to be here for a while.” He goes silent and I don’t hear his footsteps. Then I heard him speak only centimeters from my right ear “I rather just tease you bit by bit my darling, it’s more fun that way.” I then ask “Where’s your boss Neil and John, I need to speak to them.” This for some reason makes this man laugh hysterically, he tries to calm down from what I hear behind me but then it all goes silent then his mouth is again only centimeters from my ear but this time on my left. “My boss aren’t those two losers. Silly girl, I'm with the Gold Snakes. If you treat the people like you are right now, you know you’ll get on more hit lists than anything?” my blood ran cold. Shit. Shit. Shit. Then his face appears from the darkness in front of me. “Recognize me sweet heart?” his brown hair and brown eyes are a soft dark chocolate color but what I notice the most is that his facial structure is like his brother’s. “What a pleasure Elijah Emmerson. I guess you’re here because your brother got in shit with the Divine Abyss and Grim Infernos.” I smirk obviously to make him angry. However the smile wiped off my face, quite literally when I receive a slap to my cheek. My face whips to the side from impact but as I slowly turn my head back to face him I shake my hair out of my face and with a nonchalant voice I reply “You know your brother deserved every single thing those assholes done to him.” That earns me another slap however this time I felt my cheek open from the force of his impact this time. The blood trickled down my face but that doesn’t stop me. “Awe is little Eli trying to take revenge for his brother? Maybe he’s too fucked up to return the favor himself.” And this earns me the worst reaction even worse than my dad’s. He pushes the chair so I fall on my side with it I grunt however the wind gets blown out of me when his dress shoe foot comes colliding with my stomach and face multiple times as if he’s a soccer player trying out to make the big league teams. I felt crack after crack and the bruising starting already. “You bitch! You deserve to die from speaking about him like that especially in front of me!” He stopped for a second wondering if I have had enough but I spit out blood on his shoe as soon as he stopped which obviously made him think that I didn’t have enough. He continues this for few minutes or even longer until I was breathing heavy with purple and black marks all over. I tried to move but I immediately stop gasping from the pain. He chuckles rolling up his sleeves of his black shirt “Don’t worry sweetheart, my lesson with you is just getting started. I’ll be back for more, so much more. But obviously I don’t want you to die before I torture you more.” He winks and leaves me in this room alone with the only source of light shinning above me. I completely forgot about the Gold Snakes and how they would probably take revenge against the Siren. I keep my eyes awake even though I feel like closing them and sleeping a little while. My eye sight is blurry but my ears are working quite well, I heard voices outside of the door. “Scorpion, what are you doing here?” I heard that laugh, evil just like his fathers. I guess you can’t change your DNA. “I came as soon as I heard that you had the Siren here. What she did to Luke was a serious offense.” I heard both of them laughing if I haven’t heard Billy’s real laughter I would of thought that this was his real laugh. “Don’t worry, we just started half an hour ago. Little sassy bitch wasn’t giving up but I gave her a lesson that left her breathless.” I heard Eli speaking to Billy which was nothing but the truth. “I'm not done with her yet but I’ll have her my way then I can toss her to whoever wants her. She’s not leaving the Gold Snakes so easily.” My heart sank, never did I ever think I would be caught and act so carelessly. “Can I see her? I heard countless rumors that she’s quite the beauty like the Siren she is.” Billy putting interest in seeing me but I don’t want to see him right now even if he had a plan to save me, he would only bring me back to his father. “I wouldn’t say she’s still that beauty because of her lesson just now but she sure is. If she didn’t have that nasty sassy mouth. I would of actually made her mine.” I hear the door opening but didn’t dare to move to cause me more pain, I kept my eyes close and not because I chose to but because of the swelling near my eyes. I heard only one pair of footsteps then Elijah spoke from farther away “I'm going to grab a few, toys. I’ll be back in half an hour beauty. Scorpion if she talks back while you’re here, do as you please just don’t kill her, yet.” Then the door slammed closed but I heard the foot steps lightly making it’s way over to me. Hearing the gasp I managed to open my eyes just a little bit revealing a shocked Billy. My breathing still heavy but I'm managing as much as I can right now. He runs up to me crouching down. “Oh my god, my princess. I came as soon as I knew that you were here. I'm getting you out of here.” He takes out a switch blade ripping the ropes, with a horse shaky low voice that’s straining I slowly talk to Billy. “Don’t. You dad will just do the same but he’ll find out that we know each other and use that against us.” Rocky creeps into this room closing the door behind him. “Rocky I need you to take her, they can’t know I betrayed them we still need them to trust me.” Rocky nods his head picking me up. Billy’s hand comes up to me caressing my face. “I promise I’ll protect you. You won’t leave my side princess.” I felt Rocky beginning to sprint and after that all I heard was gun shots ringing through the entire building. “ROCKY BRING HER BACK HERE OR GOD HELP ME YOU’RE GOING TO TAKE HER PLACE IN HELL.” This caused Rocky to continue sprinting “Don’t worry Angel, I wont let them get you.” I barely even know Rocky but he knows my middle name? “How do you know my middle name Rocky?” I instantly see him realizing he slipped. “Scorpion calls you princess and I thought to give you a nickname too.” I felt myself feeling unsafe with Rocky suddenly but I had no other choice, my body was physically unable to move out of his arms. He puts me inside of the backseat of the car then sits right after me closing the door behind him. “Let’s get out of here!” the car comes to life going the speed of light, Rocky climbs to the passenger seat leaving me in the back groaning in pain. I pass out yet again but before I do I hear the brothers speaking “She passed out. Do you think Billy will be okay Rocky?” I heard a worrisome Ricky asking. “He’ll be fine, he’s next in line he knows what he’s doing.” I knock out completely not giving a shit if I'm only being tossed gang to gang who want to kill me.
