When Sans was out of sight, Death dropped the fake smile, although he was relieved that Sans finally left them alone.

But Death was not happy with the result. Specifically with the way Sans left Geno in such an embarrassed state after whispering something to him.

Death wanted to know what Sans told Geno that made the glitched skeleton madly blushed like that. He eagerly wanted an answer, but he also dreaded it to hear it.

Death didn't know what to expect. He was afraid that Sans might've told him something he didn't want anyone else to say to his Geno. Like a love confession.

The young chief turned to the smaller skeleton, his one arm that was wrapped around the other's shoulders slid down to the latter's waist.

"Hey, Geno." The taller skeleton softly called and Geno turned to him, his eye was adorably curious. "What did he tell you?"

Geno paused for a moment as his face gradually turns blue. He swiftly looked away and continues munching on his fries. "N-nothing."

Death frowned, unsatisfied with the answer. The reply was simple yet it hurts Death. The fact that Geno was keeping a secret from him that could potentially ruin their relationship, it hurts him.

Pulling the other closer to his body and nuzzling to the smaller skeleton's warm neck. Geno slightly squirm uncomfortably at the very intimate touch. He was not used to it.

"Tell me, please?" Death begged like a puppy wanting some attention.

"I-It was nothing important." Geno stuttered and leaned away from the taller skeleton. Death followed his example and leaned further against him. Geno grunted in mild annoyance. "Why are you so clingy today?"

Death simply whined in response, burying his face deeper into the red scarf. "It's nothing important, right?" Death mumbled like a scared child. He was afraid to hear the answer.

If it was 'nothing important', the Death can safely assume that it was, indeed, not a threat in his relationship with Geno.

Geno nodded. "Are you okay?" He asked in sincere concern. Death was acting weird today.

"No." The taller skeleton's reply was muffled by the red scarf, but his close proximity allows Geno to perfectly hear what's he saying. And what he heard made him worry.

Geno lightly patted the taller one's back and Death instantly relaxed at his touch. The tension melting away from his shoulders. "What's wrong?" Geno asked the matter further. He wanted to know what's bothering the other.

Death didn't answer. Geno respect's the other's privacy and if Death didn't want to share it, Geno was fine with it. For he, himself, has his own secret he doesn't want anyone to know about.

Geno ate the rest of his meal in silence. The taller skeleton still practically glued to him. The smaller skeleton's unoccupied hand continuously softly rubbing the taller one's back soothingly as if he was lulling a toddler to sleep.

Geno would've thought that Death was actually asleep, if not for the other's firm grip on him.

When Geno finished his meal, Death led him straight out of the mall and out to the parking lot, which worries Geno of the abrupt change in the taller skeleton's demeanor.

The taller skeleton opened the door of his car at the passenger side and almost shoved Geno inside. He immediately slammed the door closed, triggering the automatic lock, as if he was afraid that Geno will escape.

Geno was startled and scared at Death's forceful actions. He watched with growing fear as Death briskly walked around the car to the driver side. He opened the door and Geno sunk in his seat.

The taller skeleton sat in the driver's seat and quickly pulled into the driveway.

"Death, What's going on?" Geno fearfully asked, his only eye wide and alert and arms close to his chest in pure instinct of protecting himself.

"I'm taking you back home, now." Death said without even looking at the other, his eyes fixed on the road and stepped on the accelerator. Driving the vehicle faster.

Geno doesn't understand. What's with the sudden rush? "Why? Is something wrong?" the glitched skeleton questioned, his tone was a little high due to the fear settling in his chest. He didn't like how fast the car was going.

A random car abruptly came into view and Geno's soul leaped as he screamed in absolute horror. Death cursed and hit the break and swiftly turned the steering wheel causing the car to drift but didn't stop.

Death took a sharp turn before speeding up once again.

"For Asgore's sake! Calm the f**k down! You're gonna get both of us killed!" Geno screamed as beads of tears forms in his eye. His back was pressed hard against the seat and his hands were clutching at the edge of it.

Realizing that Geno was right, Death came back into his senses and he steadily pressed his foot on the break pedal. Slowing the car down. He let out a breath that he was unconsciously holding, finally allowing himself to calm down.

Death doesn't know what happened. He was too overwhelmed with jealousy and all that he could think about was that he has to take Geno away from him as much as possible.

The taller skeleton shifted his gaze for a moment to check on the smaller skeleton and found him nearly hyperventilating. His only eye were wide with terror and his small body shook. "What the f**k?!" Geno questioned in utter shock.

Death felt a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry. I'm just- I didn't mean it! I'm sorry!" Death looks like he was about to cry, but kept his blurry eyes on the road. Unable to face Geno.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Geno demanded, his tone was angry yet it trembled with remnants of fear.

Death was hurt at the tone Geno used on him.

Geno was blaming him. He couldn't help but tear up even more as he bit his lower lip in an attempt to stop the tears before taking a deep breath. "I'm jealous, okay?! You and Sans were so d*mn close and I'm f**king jealous and I couldn't help but BE SCARED because you... that he might take you away from me." Death finally admitted, tears pouring down his face.

Geno was rendered silent as his only widened in shock and disbelief. He didn't know.

He didn't know that he was hurting Death the whole time. Is that why he was so clingy and protective. Death was afraid.

"Death, I'm sorry. I didn't know." Geno apologized softly. Hesitantly reaching out a hand to wiped the taller skeleton's tears. Death leaned into his touch.

"No, I-" Death didn't get to finish his sentence as he was interrupted by a loud honk and the two skeletons snapped their attention back to the road to see a red car coming right at them with ridiculous speed.

Death cursed and immediately swerved the car out of the way but the motherf*cker went on the same d*mn direction!

The two cars crashed against each other with a loud bang and the impact triggered the airbag. Everything turned black.

Death groaned as he lifted his head up from the deflating airbag before massaging his head. His vision were blurry and his hearing was a little muddled.

He hissed as his fingers brushed against the tender bruise on his forehead. He must've hit his head too hard.

When he finally gathered his thoughts together, he remembered that the passenger side doesn't have an airbag.

Death whipped his head to the side so fast that it almost hurt and found Geno holding his head in his hands. There was a splatter of red on the dashboard in front of him. Oh God, no!

Death was quick to act. He grabbed Geno's wrists and pulled the smaller skeleton's hands away from his forehead. His hands were soaked with red. There's so much blood!

He grabbed the smaller skeleton's face and gently guide it to face him before lifting it up, allowing him a full view of the latter's injury.

There was a nasty blue bruise and a wide crack on the same spot right over Geno's visible eye. Blood continuously spilling from the wound and rolling down his face before dropping into his clothes. Staining the white fabric.

Death was horrified at the sight. He quickly undid his seat-belt, opened the door and sprinted around his badly damaged car. Ignoring the loud yelling and cursing of the furious driver of the other car.

The young chief swiftly opened the door to the passenger side and carefully pulled the barely conscious Geno out the car. Faintly registering the collective gasp from the crowd that had formed around the area.

The police arrived conveniently early at the scene and saluted at Death. The other driver involved in the accident went silent and considerably paled when he saw that.

Death ignored them all. He carried Geno away from the smoking cars fast and to the sidewalk and set him sitting down on the curb.

Geno groaned as his already bloodied hand reaches up to his injury only for Death to grab it and pulled it away while his free hand firmly gripping the smaller one's shoulder, keeping him up and steady.

"Death?" Geno squinted, his vision was stained with red. "What happened?" His words slurred together, Completely unaware that he was covered in his own blood. His head was throbbing painfully and spinning making him dizzy.

"You're gonna be fine, I promise. Just stay with me, okay? Geno?" Death frantically tried to soothe the other yet the other doesn't seem to be responding to him.

Geno couldn't hear what Death was saying, but he could see red and blue lights flashing alternately. Everything was hazy and incoherent. A new wave of nausea hit him and he gagged. His hands automatically flew to cover his mouth.

Death was filled with dread. Vomiting after a head injury is bad. Really bad!

Geno threw up, unable to hold it in, and Death panicked and began barking orders. "GET THE MEDIC NOW!"

Geno barely have enough energy after throwing up, his nonexistent lungs burned from the lack of oxygen and his one ninth of a soul pulsed irregularly. He felt cold.

"Geno?! Geno, can you hear me?!"

He heard Death's panicked calls before he lost consciousness.

Geno went limp in Death's hold and the taller skeleton dived straight into hysteria. "Nonono! Please Geno! Wake up! Open your eyes! PLEASE!" Death pleaded as tears streams down his face as he held the unconscious skeleton in his arms.

"DOn't do this me, please! I cant-! *hic!* I can't do this!" Death cried as he held the smaller one lose to his chest tightly as he rocked back and forth. "Please don't leave me." The taller skeleton whimpered, broken and hurt.
