Y/N POV
"Did you get the popcorn?" Javin asked walking into the aisle with the sodas
"Yes, and here are the cookies" I said placing them into the cart. We are having the team over to play some video games and watch movies. Regular team bonding type stuff.
"I love you" he said placing a kiss on my forehead
"Love you too Jav" I told him "We should get something a little healthy, so Coach doesn't get super mad"
"You right" He said running off.
I love when he runs off and then I have no idea what's going on. I'm just gonna stay here
"Alright I got some apples cuz we love them and some trail mix" I gave him after he said trail mix "what? Nuts and raisins are healthy." I chuckled as I pushed the cart towards checkout
"I got this" I said pulling out my wallet
"Nah babe, my team, my money" he said getting out his wallet. I'm not even gonna argue against this because I know I won't win
"Thank you, have a nice day" I nodded and we took our bags and went to leave the store
"Damn, it's pouring" Javin sighed as we reached the doors "I pull the car up so you don't have to get soaked" I smiled as he left. What a gentleman. He parked the car next to the entrance and we both quickly put the bags in the car.
~Skip car ride to his house~
"Wow. Of course every damn player parked in the driveway. We'll have to run inside with the groceries" I sighed getting ready to take the groceries inside. It was a significant sized driveway, I'm definitely getting soaked.
"Race?" Jav asked
"No, I don't need to slip and sprain something" (A/N yeah don't sprain your ankle, it's not fun)
"Fine" he huffed as we both hurried to the door. "Babe, I think I left one bag"
"Really, one bag?" He chuckled as I walked back to the car. I canceled every side and there was no bag anywhere. "OH YOURE DEAD JAVIN" I yelled from the car
I hurried back to the door as he started running into the backyard. I ran after him but as soon as I entered the backyard I could find him. I took a few steps forward trying to see where he was hiding.
"Gotcha" he whispered as he wrapped his arms around me from behind. He turned me around so I could face him
"I'm gonna kill you" I told him
"No you won't"
"And why wouldn't I?"
"Because you love me too much"
"Is that so?" I asked as he nodded.
"And I love you too" He said pulling me in for a long passionate kiss. Neither of us caring about the poring rain
We slowly pulled away breathless.
"I love you" I told him
"I love you" He said. We stood there for a second trying to catch our breaths.
I was just about to walk away when he pulled me back in for another kiss. When we pulled away all I felt was his warm breath brushing against my face. He grabbed my hand and we walked inside together
"Damn y'all are soaked" Joey said
"Hmm wonder why?" I said
"True" he laughed
What a perfect start to a perfect night
