I looked up at Alexander thanking him with a smile. Hopefully, I don't have any more conversations like that for the rest of the night.

"You look stunning." he complimented causing my cheeks to go red. I turn my head to the side not wanting him to see the effect his words had on me. "Red is definitely your colour."

"Thanks." I voiced happy that he improved off my outfit.

Alexander took the margarita glass out of my hand and handed to the passing server, then laced his hands with mine. I look over at him seeking an explanation, but he shrugs, "I'm going to introduce you to a few friends of mine."

I had no idea why he'd want to introduce me to his friends when I wasn't going to stay in his life. I was only in his house to take care of my abandon nephew and yet I wanted to stay. I was happy here; my dog was happy here. I didn't want to go but I knew as soon as he founded Alliyah, it would be bye bye Kalliyah.

Alexander gripped my shoulder and shake me, "What are you thinking about?"

What my life will be after you find my sister.

I shrugged, "Oh, nothing. I'm wondering if Henrique is okay."

He laughed and shook his head, "Henrique is more than okay. He's probably sleeping like a baby right now."

I giggled, "He is a baby."

"He doesn't seem to agree with you. He acts like an adult." Alexander exclaimed, and he was right. Henrique acted way older than his age, sometimes I wonder if he's really eighteen months old."

"I wonder who he gets that from." I paused and thought about it. I had no idea what Alexander father even looked like. "Definitely my sister."

"Have you heard anything from her?" he asked.

I sighed, trying not to get angry. "I told you, I haven't seen or heard from my sister in three years. Why would she contact me suddenly?"

He frowned, "Sorry for mentioning it."

I shook my head feeling bad for lashing out, "No, I'm sorry. It's just that it's a sticky subject."

  He nodded, "I understand."

  "I'm sorry."

"I said It's okay." He said a little bit too angry for my liking.

I flinched stepping away from him, "I think I should go back to my room."

His face showed the regret of his action, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have shouted at you. This is not easy for me either. I need to find your sister not just because of Henrique but also because of my parents."

I let his words register. Henrique wasn't the only reason he was looking for my sister but what was the other reason and why are parents involved other than the fact that his father impregnates her?

"I still think I should go." I didn't want to be a burden on him, especially not tonight.

"No, you're staying. You just came down, have a little fun." He persuaded.

"I don't know anyone here, how is this fun?" I felt like an outsider. I didn't fit in a room full of socialites.

"Well, the music is going to change to that of dancing one and then we can dance. There is a lot of food here and you know what else is here?" his rhetorical question ran in the air until he continued, "an Ice-cream fountain."

From he said the word food I was convinced to stay but even more so at Ice-cream fountain. I've never seen one in real life before only on the television; I even order one for my wedding, that never happened.

"Okay, I'll stay but please don't leave me alone. I rather not have a next billionaire boy flaunt his wealth at me."

He laughed, "I promise I won't leave you alone, you'll be by my side until the night ends."

  "Sounds good to me."

He grinned and started to pull me across the room with him. "Can you tell me a little more about this event."

He stopped walking and smile, his brown eyes shining. "When I was around fifteen, I met a boy who was around eight or nine. He was stealing a woman's purse and before he could get away I stopped him. I asked him why he was stealing, and he told me he was an orphan and he didn't have anything to eat. I was touched so I brought him home with me, gave him clothes and food and my parents worked something out. When I was old enough to have my business, I decide I wanted to help persons like him and so I came up with the Carter's Foundation for Lost Boys. We have this ball annually to raise money for homeless and orphan boys all around America."

"That's so sweet. I can just imagine how many lives you've saved." I paused when a thought came to my mind, "But why only boys?"

He smiled, "I get that often. It's not that I'm sexist or anything but boys are the ones who take up the guns, they here the ones that need the motivation."

"That sounded sexist. Girls need motivation too."

 I need motivation.

He nodded, agreeing. "True but there are many foundations for girls and not enough for boys."

I gave up with a smile, "Okay, that's true."

Every little thing that this man did was for someone else's benefit. When my sister left Henrique at his office he could have easily brought to a police station and that would have been off his hands but no, he took the baby in and cared for him. Now he's helping thousands of youngsters in America. He's really a blessing.

"I admire you." I blurted out without thinking. I looked over at me and smile. "What I mean is I admire you for what you're doing here with the boys. It's great. It shows what kind of person you are."

He smirked, "And what kind of persons am I exactly?"

I laughed and shrugged, "You know..."

He shook his head, "No, I don't. I need you to tell me."

I played with my dress then looked in his eyes, "caring, sweet and loving."

He laughed, "Thanks. You're not so bad yourself."

I shrugged. "Nah, there is nothing special about me."

Since his hand was already holding mine, it was so easily for him to pull me close.

He shook his head, "Don't say that."

"But it's true." I wasn't special. My ex-fiancé slept with my sister while I would have given him by virginity freely. Obviously, my body wasn't special or else he would have chosen me.

  "No, it's not."

I shook my head. I wanted to cry. I'm not special and here is this lovely man telling me I am.

"You are special, you might not see it, but I do." He took both my other hand in his and now we were standing in front of each other. Even in heels he was still towering me. "You're very special. Not many women would be doing what you are doing?"

What am I doing? I asked myself.

Falling for Alexander Carter, that's what you're doing.

"You're special, you're sweet, caring, loving and so god damning beautiful."

Even though I was a little sad I could help but blush.

"See, look at that amazing smile of yours. You are very special."

As I smiled up at him as the music changed from slow jazz to salsa. I laughed at music. Alexander, "Por favor." He said asking for a dance.

  I nodded.

He released right hand and placed his left hand on my shoulder. We started moving our hips to the music. I went in and out of his arms both of staring at each with grins on our face as we danced. This was great, even other couples start dancing to the music as well while some just watch from the side.

The music began to slow and then the song ended and went to a slower song but instead of stop dancing he pulled me closer and we danced to the slow song. I rest my head on his chest and closed my eyes.

For the first time in three years I could say I am truly and deeply happy.

He pulled away from me causing me to look up at him. He was smiling down at me. "Follow me."

I didn't have much choice since he started pulling me towards the back door. I laughed like a silly teenager.

Two minutes later we were in the gazebo by the pool.

I smiled at him, "You're good with your feet. I bet your parents sent you to dance class when growing up."

He laughed, "Yeah. They did." He pulled me towards the bench. He sat down then pulled me in his lap. "I didn't know you were a dancer."

I gave him a cheeky smile. "Well guess what? You don't know a lot about me."

"Well, I intend to find." He placed his head at my neck and started to kiss it. I yelp as he touches my ticklish spot. I quickly jump off his lap.

I laughed and placed my hand where he was kissing. "I'm ticklish there."

He laughed, "So you're ticklish." he paused and then came to stand in front of me. "So many things to learn." His face was so close to mine I could hear and feel his very breath. He gently placed his lips on mine while his hands wrapped securely round my waist. I kissed him back with the same passion I was receiving, my hands on his shoulders.

 Gosh!

 I've become wanton.

Never in my life I would be so eager to kiss a man.

Never in my life had I felt such chemistry either.

My body left like electricity was going through it.

He made my body melt.

After a few minutes of sharing salvia, we slowly pulled apart for air. I looked in his eyes not sure what to say exactly. My heart was beating a mile a minute and so was his.

"What are we doing?" I asked myself, but Alexander heard and answered.

 "I don't know."

I shifted my gaze to light that was shinning against the pool waters. It was beautiful.

Alexander lifts his hands to my face and turn my head to make me look at him, "I don't know what we're doing, and I definitely don't know how I'm feeling but I know I've never felt like this before."

I felt chills pass through me, "I've never felt like this before either." Not even with my ex who I was gonna marry.

 "I like you."

I smiled, "I like you too."

So, it was possible. A billionaire like Alexander could exactly like a sad girl like me, but why?

He smiled, "We have to get back to the guests. There are still some persons l would like you to meet." He folded his hands in my mine and we started walking back to the cottage.

All I could think about was our kiss and the fact that he told me he like me. Which me feel 100% better than how I was feeling before. At least I know my feeling weren't one sided. But he did say like and like could mean so many things. What if he meant he liked me as a friend? Nah, a man doesn't kiss his friend the way he kissed me. That was a lover's kiss. But we weren't lovers either. So, what are we?

We managed to slip back inside without any attention. For the rest of the night Alexander introduced me to persons who had made donations to the foundations for years, some of which were orphans themselves. At nine thirty he made his speech and managed to tell a story. He also announced that the amount that was donated tonight. It was fifteen million. Two million more than last year. I was amazed that how much was raised. I always looked from the outside saying mean things about the rich but maybe they weren't so bad after all. Fifteen million dollar!

By ten thirty we closed the door behind the last couple.

I smiled up at him, "Congratulations. Fifteen million dollars! Wow. You save millions of lives."

"Thanks." He said was a big grin.

"You're a great person." He was.

When I came here I was a depressed soul and between him and Henrique I felt revived from the sickness.

 "So are you."

I shrugged, "Let's go check on Henrique."

He nodded and follow behind me as I walked toward the stairs.

"Did I tell you how amazing you looked in this dress?"

I giggled and continued walking, "I think you did."

"I'm sure all the males tonight were going wide at your body and your beauty."

  "Aren't you full of words?"

  He laughed.

"Don't look at my butt." I said I was started walking up the stairs with him at my tail.

"That made me look even more."

I couldn't stop the giggle from coming out.

When I reached the top stairs, I didn't wait for him, I walked to Henrique's room. I pushed the door open, the nanny was on her phone. She lifted her head and looked at me.

  "He's sleeping."

I can see that. I wanted to reply but I knew it was rude. Why am I so possessive over this baby? Because I loved him to pieces.

As I walked over to his crib, Alexander appeared at the door.

I brushed the small traces of hair off his face and bent to kiss his forehead. I lifted my head to Alexander piercing glaze. I smiled at him then turn to look at the nanny. "You can go now."

Alexander wanted further in the room and shook his head, "Nah. A room is already prepared for her. You need a long rest today you've been looking after him by yourself you must be exhausted."

 "I don't mind."

He smiled and looked down at the baby. "I know you don't, but you need some sleep."

He bent and kissed him as well, "Come on, I'm taking you t bed."

I blushed at his words. I knew that's not what he meant but it was still sweet and charming.

I shook my head, I was nothing but a naïve virgin. Not that the thought of Alexander taking me to bed didn't cross my mind because it did, too many times for me to even count.

And these thoughts were not sleeping on the same bad thoughts. These were the thoughts you see in romance novels.

Alexander and I walked out of Henrique's room. Alexander pushed opened my door and waited for me to enter then entered after me, closing the door behind him.

 I look him at him.

Was he really talking me to bed?
