Does colorism in the black community affect black men?
Yes, yes it does.
It's the opposite for men. Colorism for black women is: "If you're dark skin, you're unattractive". "If you're light skin, you're beautiful."
For men, it's the... I guess the opposite?
Dark skin men in the black community, have always been associated with masculinity. Or shall I say, dark skin has always been associated with masculinity in the black community. There have been plenty of times where black men would say, "dark skin women are just... masculine. I want a feminine light skin chick," as if dark skin women can't be feminine. These skin complexion stereotypes are no different from black men. Dark skin black men, can be feminine.
Now for the light skin men...they are seen as feminine! They usually have to prove their dominance to other black men because of their skin complexion. Always considered a "pretty boy" or "fruity". Light skin women are put on a pedestal because they are light skin, but guess by who? Yeah, (some) dark skin black men and women, black people in general.
Light skin men are put on a pedestal by, (some) black women, but aren't black "enough" to hang with the dark skin men.
In other words...
Light skin = feminity
Dark skin = masculinity
