"Jake, what are you doing?" Embry asked jogging up to him. He looked frantic. Hearing him coming up to him, Jake turned to look at him.
"Did you know?" He asked confusing Embry. "Did you know?!" He snapped going to shove Embry.
"What the hell?! Know what?" Embry growled glaring at him. Jake rubbed his face forcing himself to calm down.
"Sorry" He muttered and Embry just nodded.
"What's going on man?" He asked him.
"They're leaving" Jake said walking to his bike.
"Who's leaving?" Embry asked.
"Them! The Cullens" He said making Embry's eyes go wide as he looked back at the house. "They said the everybody needs to believe Bella is dead, they can't risk her being seen, especially by Charlie"
"They can't just go" Embry said understanding why Jake looked so frantic.
"And Charlie can't know about them, some rule or something" Jake said getting on his bike.
"What's your plan?" Embry asked and Jake took a calming breath. "Jake, don't give the old man a heart attack" He said reading his thoughts.
"Thanks" Jake muttered before starting his bike and driving away. Embry sighed before turning his head seeing Alison walking towards the house with Bree. He pressed his lips together before marching over to her. Why didn't she say anything to him? This had to be the reason she was acting weird.
"Can I talk to you?" He asked stopping in front of Alison. Alison looked at him noticing that he wasn't int he best of moods.
"It'll be alright, I'll talk to you later" She said smiling at Bree. Bree smiled back nodding before walking away. "What's up?" She asked turning her attention to Embry.
"When were you going to tell me that you were moving?" He asked.
"Who told you that?" Alison asked her.
"Jake just left saying that you guys were leaving because of Bella" He said. "Was that something that you were going to talk to me about? Or did you-"
"Will you shut up before you say something that's going to piss me off?" Alison said cutting him off.
"By all means, please explain" He said crossing his arms. Alison sighed looking at the house.
"I'm not going with them" She said looking back at Embry.
"What?" He asked unfolding his arms.
"I wasn't going to ask you to leave your mother, your friends" She said with a shrug as she shoved her hands into her pockets. "I already talked to Carlisle about it. He said that we could stay in the house when they moved or not" She told him.
"So you never planned on leaving?" Embry asked her and Alison gave him a small smile. She shook her head.
"No, I didn't plan on leaving" She said and Embry slowly nodded.
"Sorry" He said and she smiled kissing his cheek.
"Come on" She said pulling him along.
"And you're alright? With staying?" Embry asked.
"Yes, I'm fine with it" She told him. "I knew that we wouldn't be able to stay together forever" She said sadly. "But it's not goodbye, I'll see them again" She said nodding.
"What about Jake? What's he going to do? He can't just leave Renesmee but his life is here" Embry said and Alison sighed.
"I don't have all of the answers, I'm sorry" She said giving him a small smile. He gave her a smile back before thinking abut Jake's plan. Hopefully it works so that they don't have to move.
"I have to make the first move" Bree whispered to herself pacing in her room. "If I don't, who knows when she will" Bree said with a shrug. "Ok, you can do this, you can do this" She muttered walking out of her room and out of the house. It wasn't hard to find Leah, she was always in the same spot. She didn't like being around the others.
Hearing her coming closer, Leah looked up. She gave her an annoyed look but deep down she was happy to see her. She looked nervous, Leah wanted to know why. Maybe she could help but at the same time, it wasn't any of her business. Leah thought she looked beautiful today, her hair was pulled back and she looked refreshed. Leah slowly lost the annoyed look as Bree continued to walk closer to her. She then looked at Bree confused as Bree kept getting closer and closer.
"What-" Leah went to ask but Bree just cupped her face with her hands and pulled her into a kiss. Leah's eyes widened as Bree kept her lips on hers firmly. She was completely shocked, frozen in place not knowing what to do. After a few moments Bree pulled away taking a step back. Leah didn't know what to do, she wanted to kiss Bree back but she was in shock.
"Leah?" Bree asked nervously. "I'm sorry it's just I got tired of waiting on you and I figured it would be alright if I made the first move. You were just constantly ignoring me and it was upsetting me so... so... so I took charge" She said trying to be confident. "I hope that's alright" She added. "Leah?" Bree asked snapping Leah out of her thoughts.
"I... I" She said backing away.
"It's ok" Bree said. "I know I took you by surprise but-" She was cut off by Leah shifting and running away. "Leah!" She shouted but thought it was best to let her go. She watched as Leah disappeared and sighed feeling rejected. She crossed her arms around her stomach before slowly walking back to the house going straight to her room. Alison had noticed her looking depressed and looked at Embry before following after Bree.
"Bree?" Alison asked softly knocking on her door. Eventually, Bree opened the door but avoided eye contact. Alison slipped in closing the door behind her. "What's wrong?" Alison asked concerned.
"I did what you said" She said. "I made the first move" Bree said.
"Well, good for you" Alison said with a smile. "What happened?" She asked.
"She totally rejected me" Bree snapped.
"What?" Alison asked confused.
"She just ran away" Bree said shaking her head.
"Well.. what did you do?" Alison asked her and Bree sat down feeling embarrassed.
"I... I kissed her" Bree said softly. Alison's eyes widened.
"You what?" Alison asked and Bree pressed her lips together leaning back in her seat uncomfortably.
"I sort of.. kissed her" Bree said with a shrug.
"What did you do? Just walk right up to her and kiss her?" Alison asked and Bree nodded.
"Yea, pretty much" Bree said making Alison smile.
"Not exactly what I was thinking when I said you should make the first move" Alison said amused as she walked to sit besides Bree.
"Well, it was all I could think about" Bree said with a shrug.
"Well, now she knows where you stand. So that's a good thing" Alison said trying to cheer her up. "But you have to understand that you just changed everything and you changed it really suddenly" She said and Bree sighed wondering what else she could mess up. "But it's fine, Leah just needs to process what happened and hopefully when she has her thoughts in control, she'll come down and come back to you"
"You think so?" Bree asked glancing at her.
"I know so" Alison said grabbing her hand. "These things, they take time" Alison said and Bree sighed nodding.
"I know, I know, I just have to be patient" She said and Bree nodded. "Well, looks like Jake's back" Alison said looking out the window. "Come on, this will be interesting" She said leading Bree out of the room.
"Look, I solved a problem" Jake said. "You were leaving, what did you expect me to do?" Jake asked as Alison and Bree entered the room.
"You don't realize the danger you've put him in. The Volturi will kill anyone who knows about us" Bella said.
"No, I didn't tell him about you, just me, I only said you were different" Jake said.
"And that we have a niece who we adopted" Edward added.
"I mean, seriously, Jake, he's not gonna let that go" Bella said.
"Did you consider the physical pain he'll put Bella through? It'll be like sticking a white hot branding iron down her throat and that's assuming she can control her thirst" Edward said annoyed with Jake.
"Look, Charlie's been in hell and I know you'll be much happier with him in your life" Jake told her.
"Jacob, don't try and pretend you're doing this for anyone but yourself" Edward said.
"Lay off Edward" Alison said sticking up for Jake. "Anyone would have done the same thing if you threatened to take their mate away"
"Sorry you feel that way" Jake said giving Alison a grateful look. "Because he'll be here in 10 minutes" Jake said looking at the others.
"What?" Bella asked shocked.
