Zachariah's POV
I held my gun in the air. I put it down and slipped it in the side of my pants sighing with relief.
"Man you gotta get yo shit together, what if we ain't pull up to ass would have been done" I said as I stepped over the three dead bodies
Kaleb opened his eyes "Fuck man!" He yelled as he held his thigh in pain
"Who these nigga's anyways?" Tavon asked as he held his gun and bent down
He took the mask off of all three of there faces and I didn't recognize not one of them.
"Man this the like fourth time you got shot this year. You gotta lay low, you gotta move nigga's know where you lay yo head at Man" I said as I helped him up
"I know I'm working on it" he mumbled in pain
There were two big bangs coming from the door. I pulled out my gun and aimed it at the door. The door swung open and there stood my uncle Kaiden and Aunt Asia. I quickly put my gun down.
"What the hell happened!" Asia yelled as she ran inside stepping over the bodies making her way to Kaleb
"I don't know I was coming over to talk business and I seen a car pull up then three guys got out the car we waited until they were on the porch then we got out once they kicked down the door. They shot him once in his leg but me and Tavon got em before it got worse" I said as I leaned back
"Kaleb you need to move Asap. Imagine if Laila and Lyla were her-" Kaiden said before Kaleb cut him off
"But there not!" He snapped back as he glared at his father
I sat back minding my business.
"Not right now. Come here so I can take the bulletin out of you" Aunt Asia said as she helped Kaleb up
Kaiden just stared at Kaleb with a straight face. Me and Tavon stood up and made my way to the door.
"Yo!" My uncle Kaiden yelled as he grabbed Tavon's arm
"Oop. told you, you should have left her little ass alone" I whispered to him before I continued walking
Tavon's POV
"Wassup?" I asked as I stood in front of him with my hands in my pocket
"You the one takin' Ayla out all the time?" He asked me as he pulled up his sagging pants
I nodded.
"Let me find out your bitch ass hurt my babygirl, I promise I will decease everybody you love in front of you and make your mother watch you go. I would hate to do that so I suggest you take the right path and leave her alone for good" He whispered in my ear
"I ain't gon' hurt ha' and I definitely ain't leavin' man" I said bringing out my New York accent
"We'll see how this goes" he mumbled as he looked me in my eyes
I nodded. I then made my way out the house after dapping up Kaleb who was in the kitchen.
"Fuck ma that shit hurts!" Kaleb yelled as the bullet fell on the floor
"Watch your mouth!" Asia snapped as she hit his head
He rolled his eyes and let her bandage it up. I leaned on the wall as he stood up.
"Your coming to are house until you buy a new house. You have 20 minutes to get ya ass to our houseKaleb" Asia said as she grabbed her purse and walked out pulling me behind her
I followed her out the house before calling the clean up crew to deal with these bodies.
Kaleb's POV
I made my way upstairs slowly and walked into my room. I sat on the bed and clenched my jaw as the pain shot threw my leg. I stood up and walked to my washroom I popped a Advil and drank some water from the tap. I then made my way to my closet and grabbed my duffle bag filling it with some jogging suits, jeans, t shirts, hoodies and boxers. Also my deodorant, body wash and cologne.
I then carried it out my room and made my way downstairs slowly. I walked to the couch and grabbed my phone. I then walked out the living room and towards the front door there stood the clean up crew I directed them where to go and they did so. I then walked out and got in my black Audi. I blue toothed my phone and played 50 cent big rich town.

Laila's POV
"Your beautiful" David said as he smiled at me
"Thank you. Your not to bad yourself" I replied as I pushed Lyla's stroller towards my rental car
"Well I was hoping I could get your number" he said as he stopped at my car next to me
I smiled. "Sure" I said as I held out my hand
He smiled and gently placed his phone in my hand. I saved my number as Laila💛 I then took Lyla's diaper bag from him as I smiled.
"Thanks" I said as I put the bag in my trunk
"No problem Laila. I'll call you later on" he said as he smiled and walked away from me
I nodded. I then took Lyla's car seat out the stroller and put it in the backseat of the car. I buckled her in and she fussed.
"Mama" she cried as she reached her hands for me
I kissed her cheek and closed the car door. I then folded up the stroller and lifted it up. I put it in the trunk and then closed it I made my way to the drivers side and got in. I got myself a rental for a month it is $200 a week so therefore I'm paying $800 for this month Not to bad. It's nothing but a 2017 Honda it's white and it has black leather seats and blue tooth of course.
I went on Spotify and clicked my playlist. The first song that came on was BBO by Migos ft. 21 savage. I bobbed my head to the beat as I pulled off
Kaleb's POV
"Yo" I said as I opened Ayla door
She had headphone on and I'm guessing she was doing homework due to the fact that she had her book bag out. She looked up at me and back down at her work. I sighed and let out a deep breath I didn't mean to talk to her the way I did she's my baby sister and I love her to death.
"Yo, Ayla" I said as I sat on her bed
"What do you want can't you see I'm busy!" She snapped
"Watch who your talking to first. Second I just wanted to apologize I didn't mean to talk to you like that earlier you should know I love you to death and that your my number one priority besides my daughter. I'm just going threw some shit right now and I ain't mean to take it out on you" I said as I looked her in her eyes
She nodded slowly. "I forgive you but don't do that again. You hurt my feelings" she mumbled as a tear fell
I quickly stood up, wiped it and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry don't cry. I love you" I said as I hugged her
"I love you to" she replied as she hugged me back
"You better not be on the phone wit' no boys get yo' work done first" I said as I looked back at her before walking out
She smiled. I walked into my old room and sat on my bed. I put my leg up and massaged it, it was in pain from driving and I was tired.
"Hey" my mom said as she knocked and walked in
I smiled at her.
"Did you try to give Laila a call?" She asked me as she sat down at the edge of my bed
"Ma I'm blocked in everything I can't contact her at all" I said as I closed my eyes and sighed
"I will tell her to unblock your number just so you can talk to Lyla" she said as she stood up
I nodded. She then walked out my room. And I laid my head down on my pillow.
Laila's POV
I read the text I had got from Kaleb's mom Asia.
7:38- hey hun💛, hope you guys are doing fine we all miss you two both and love you guys with all of our hearts. I was wandering if you didn't mind unblocking Kaleb just so he could talk to Lyla, you do not half to speak to him he got shot today but it was nothing to serious. He's in slight pain but it would be amazing if you'd let him talk to Lyla.
7:41- I hope he's doing fine😕. We miss you guys to and will try to pay a visit when I'm ready. I will unblock his number so he could FaceTime me to talk to her. Love you guys💕
7:45- thanks hun😩💓. Is gonna mean so much to him I will let him to know to call you
I read the message and pressed home button. I then went on my call log and unblocked his number. All the messages and missed calls came threw. I had 238 missed call and 192 unread messages. I was just about to read the messages but my phone begun to ring it read
Kaleb💔😕
"Hey mamas!" He said with a big smile on his face as I put Lyla in the camera.
"Dada" she said as she pointed to the screen and looked at me.
I nodded and smiled. She took the phone from me and kissed it.
"Muah" she said as she kissed my phone.
"Blow dada kisses" he said as he blew her a kiss
She put her hand on her mouth and took it off well puckering he lips. I smiled as I seen the big smile across his face as he watched her.
"I miss you princess" Kaleb said as he blew her another kiss causing her to clap her hands and smile well looking at me. She laughed as she smiled and clapped with excitement.
"Dada" Lyla said as she held the phone close to her face
"Yes baby" he replied as he stared at the screen
She begun say stuff in her own language well Kaleb agreed and talked back to her like he understood. A couple minutes went by and I was tired.
"Tell Dada Bye" I said as I looked at Lyla. She sighed and pouted.
"Blow Dada one more kiss and say love you" I said as I held the phone
"Night, I love you princess" Kaleb said as he smiled a bit
"Say té amo" I said to Lyla
"Té mo" she attempted to say as she blew him one last kiss.
I smiled and hung up the phone. I then picked her up and carried her downstairs. I held her in my arm on my hip as I made her bottle. She fussed and tried to grab the bottle out my hand but I quickly pulled away and made my way upstairs. I then laid her down next to me on a pillow and handed her the bottle. She held it and drunk it as her eyes slowly closed.
When she was sleeping the bottle had fell out her mouth and she was curled up with her eyes closed. I pulled her into me and cuddled with her. I then got a text from a unknown number.
8:21- Hey it's David. This Laila?😊
8:22- Yes it is
8:24- Wyd beautiful?
8:26- just was about to go to sleep. Can I text you in the morning?
8:27- sure have a good sleep💕
8:29- night💛
I shut my phone off and laid down and closed my eyes. I soon drifted to sleep.
Kaleb's POV
I smiled as I looked at the pictures I had screenshotted of me and Lyla on FaceTime. I posted it on my Instagram with the caption of despite what had happen today, these two voices always make me smile💕missing my girls😕. I the posted it and shut off my phone I laid my head down and slowly feel asleep.
