Yes, we realize the creeps are a little far from home over here. And many of you are probably wondering What is creepypasta, anyway?
Fear not. We only keep secrets if we get plot points for it! So, long story short, creepypasta are those terrifying tidbits floating around the internet as a result of copying and pasting.
But there are a lot of scary things floating around the Internet. So what makes creepypasta unique?
To classify as creepypasta, the story must have originated online, it must be frightening, shareable, and it must seem believable.
Now to the contest. . .
We will introduce you to the top-ten most terrifying creepypasta characters. For this contest, you are to pick one of these characters and create a crossover with your favorite fandom.
Meet the creepiest creepypasta. . .
1. Slenderman
Slenderman is a terrifying creature who goes around stalking people. He has tentacles and no face. He is as tall as the trees and he kills children. He can get into people's minds and may be watching at all times. Slenderman is an eerie creature, but he's truly terrifying when he's mad!
2. Jeff the Killer
Jeff the Killer is without a doubt one of the scariest creepypasta characters. He climbs through his victims' windows at night, stands beside their bed, and waits until they wake up. And when they do, he smiles at them with the most horrifying face ever. After whispering, "GO TO SLEEP," he kills them with his knife.
3. Smiling Man
Just watch the clip. Need we say more?
4. Eyeless Jack
Do you think "Hannibal the Cannibal" is terrifying? Well, that's because you have yet to meet Eyeless Jack! Nobody knows what he really looks like. The only thing you can "see" is a void. He has deep black eye sockets. He's able to sneak into his victims' rooms, practically unnoticed, and then he eats their kidneys while they sleep.
5. Laughing Jack
Are you afraid of clowns? You have a good reason to be! Meet Laughing Jack, a psychotic monochrome clown who loves torture. He cuts his victims open and plays with their organs as they watch and he won't let them die until he's finished. He plays with younger children to gain their trust and worry their parents. Then he cuts open their stomachs and puts candy in there! And when he feels like it, he makes people kill their loved ones, mainly children, and then he watches them go insane!
6. Bloody Painter
Bloody Painter (AKA Helen Otis) went insane after the death of his only friend. His story is uniquely sad for Creepypasta. Most of the villains are pure evil from the start. Painter, on the other hand, acts on behalf of other kids who snap after years of abuse. Because that's what he did! He killed everyone who bullied him under the name Bloody Painter.
7. The expressionless
"The Expressionless," or "God" depending on who you ask, is a blank-faced alien creature who cons a group of kindly healthcare providers into hospitalizing her. On the outside, "she" looks like a normal woman who is covered with blood and in need of help. Her bizarre inability to make a facial expression is the exception. To her saviors' shock, she eventually exposes her long sharp teeth. And nothing good could ever come of that!
8. Ted the Caver
A series of blog posts written by a spelunker named Ted recounting his experiences exploring "Mystery Cave." It documents him and his friends exploring a cave they found near his home in December 2000. The blog documents the strange occurrences they encounter including ghastly screaming, unnatural wind, and strange hieroglyphs that appear deep inside the cave.
During this time, each of the cavers reportedly suffered from hallucinations and nightmares, leading to Ted, J and B agreeing to visit the cave one final time for closure. Prepared to enter the cave with a gun and a knife, Ted stated in the final blog on March 23rd 2001 post that he will update the website immediately after he returns with answers to everyone's questions. The site has not been updated since.
9. The Rake
A large, hairless dog; a deformed, lurking human; a naked, hulking creature of unknown origin. . .
No one can quite decide the true nature of The Rake, which might make it even more horrifying. The entity earns its name from the large claws it uses to decimate its victims in their sleep.
10. Jason the Toymaker
Jason tricks his young victims into being his friend. He will do just about anything to get what he wants even if it means killing an entire family. Instead of just leaving the bodies.

Where do I have to publish? Stand-alone or in an existing collection?
Either is fine. For judging and publishing convenience, we would prefer you paste the story directly into our form. Where you put it otherwise is up to you.
Must it be a one-shot?
Yes. It must make sense on its own.
Can I use original characters or only canon characters?
The story must include at least one creepypasta character and one character from a fandom. From there, it's your call.
Can the story include an alternate reality and/or an alternate universe?
You are at liberty to use whatever "reality" you see fit.
How many fandoms can I use in my story (not counting the pasta character)?
As many as you'd like. But please keep in mind that the word limit is 500 - 1500 words.
Is time travel allowed?
