*Gianna's POV*
It's been a month since I made up with Nathan. And now, I'm practically like living in his condo. But, he sometimes sleeps on mine.
And about Sam. Seems like he's working even though he doesn't go to his office. I miss him. After all, he's my bestfriend. I was so tempted to go to him but, Des always reminds me to let him move on on his own. I guess she's right.
I sighed and massaged my cramping abdomen then rolled the blueprint of my latest project. I just finished it with the help of Destiny. I was actually planning to ask her out to hang out but, she needs to go back to Philippines due to some problems. I guess the happy-go-lucky Destiny needs to be a little more mature now.
Dinaanan ko muna si Ryan para iabot yung blueprint. I'm amazed with this guy. I know he's having a hard time on setting up the schedule and meetings of Sam but, he's managing on his own.
"Tell Sam I said--" what? What should I say to Sam? "Nah. Nevermind, Ry. I'll be going."
"Take care, Miss Chloe." called Ryan. I waved at him then left his office.
Paglabas ko ng building, nadatnan ko si Nathan na nakasandal sa kotse nya. I closed my eyes. I wanna pinch his cheeks! Ugh. I feel so weird. "Hi, gorgeous."
I can't help but smile. "Don't you need to work?"
"Tapos na po." he chuckled. Tapos sinalubong nya ako. "Want to eat ice cream?"
"Sure." I smiled. Ice cream? Yum.
"Tara." he said then opened the car's door for me. O di ba. Gentleman lang ni Nathan. :">
While he's driving, I can't help but stare at his face. I feel happy just staring at him. After all the things that happened, I'm glad that I'm still in love with him.
He glanced and smiled at me. "Listen to this." he said then touched the iPad that was connected with the car's stereo with the help of USB cord.
An unfamiliar music was played but Nathan just winked at me. **A/N: Please play the music on the side! haha. :) thanks . ;)**
"Merrily we fall out of line, out of line. I'd fall anywhere with you, I'm by your side. Swinging in the rain, humming melodies. We're not going anywhere until we freeze."
I stared at Nathan as he sing with the song.
"I'm not afraid, anymore. I'm not afraid. Forever is a long time. But, I wouldn't mind spending it by your side."
"Remember this?" asked Nathan. Nakagat ko yung labi ko sa kilig. Naman eh! xD
"Carefully we'll place for our destiny. You came and you took this heart and set it free. Every word you write or sing is so warm to me, so warm to me. I'm torn; I'm torn to be right where you are."
This time, he's not singing anymore. Instead, he took and held my hand.
"I'm not afraid, anymore. I'm not afraid. Forever is a long time. But I wouldn't mind spending it by your side. Tell me every day I get to wake up to that smile. I wouldn't mind it at all. I wouldn't mind it at all. You so know me. Pinch gently. I can hardly breathe."
I smiled to myself. Eeh. Ba't ganyan? Kinikilig ako.
"Forever is a long, long time. But I wouldn't mind spending it by your side. Tell me every day I get to wake up to that smile. I wouldn't mind it at all. I wouldn't mind it at all."
The song ended exactly when we arrived at the ice cream parlor. After Nathan turned off the car's engine, he faced and held me on my cheeks.
"I really wouldn't mind spending forever by your side." he smiled.
I smiled back and kissed him. "Me either."
"Really?"
"Of course."
He bit his lip and shyly smiled at me. Napano to? XD Eeeh! Ang cute nya tignan!
"Let's go get some ice cream." he said instead. Natawa nalang ako at tumango.
Pagpasok namin sa loob, wala masyadong tao. Siguro kasi tapos na yung rush hour at halos dinner na. Ewan ko ba kay Nathan ba't ice cream ang napagtripan. Pero ayos lang. Gusto ko din naman. Tapos sabayan mo pa ng french fries. Yum.
"Upo ka na sige." Nathan told me. "Ako na bahala mag-order."
Tumango ako tapos umupo sa may gitna. Center of attraction kasi ako. Dejoke lang.
Pinanood ko lang si Nathan habang nag-oorder sya. Ba't ganyan? I feel like I'm a teen ager. For Pete's sake, I'm already 22! Pero kung makakilig ako, wagas lang eh. Kung pwede lang mangbugbog dahil sa kilig, malamang matagal ko na nagawa yon. Ewan ko ba. Magtitigan lang kami ni Nathan parang kinikiliti na yung tiyan ko at lumulutang na ako. Parang ewan lang eh. Tapos isa pa tong si Nathan! Sobra naman kung pakiligin ako. It's really obvious that he can make any girl fall. Grabe lang kaya. Tapos, wala mang nagbago sa kanya! Yung pananamit, yun parin. Parang may lakad lang na kailangan, semi-formal ang suot. Di man halatang sya yung nagpapatakbo ng isang malaking company. Aakalain mo pa nga, late teen lang sya eh. Seryoso. Mas gumwapo pa nga sya ngayon eh. Pramis lang mga dre!
"Bakit?" tanong ni Nathan tapos umupo na sa upuan sa tapat ko.
I smiled at him. "Wala."
He smirked at me, then, took my hand and played with it.
"How's Sam?" he suddenly asked.
Nagtaka naman ako sa bigla nyang pagtanong tungkol kay Sam. "Honestly, I don't know. Bakit?"
Nathan smiled and caressed my face gently. "I'm just surprised because he let you go easily."
Napayuko ko sa sinabi ni Nathan. I feel so sad for Sam. He gave me everything he could give to me but I broke his heart. "He said he wants me to be happy."
Nathan brushed my chin and smiled. "Which do you think is greater? His or mine?"
"Huh? Yours?"
"Silly." he chuckled then kissed my hands. "There are no words to explain how much I love you. But, I think that our love for you is greater than each other on their own way."
I frowned. He's confusing me. "What do you mean?"
"They're great in their own way." Nathan said. "Sam sacrificed his happiness for you. Do you think, that is easy? No. But, he did it for you. It's great, right? But, mine is great, too. Even though you left me before, I did my very best to find you."
I looked up and smiled at him. But before I can say something, our order arrived.
"Eat up." grinned Nathan.
And I can't help but smile.

*Nathan's POV*
I looked up from the documents I was reading when I heard a knock. "Yes?"
"Excuse me Sir Miguel but you've got a call from home on line 4." answered Audrey. She's my assistant.
Binalik ko yung tingin ko sa binabasa ko. "If it's from my grandfather, tell him I'm out."
"No, sir." sagot naman ni Audrey. "It's from Miss Marian."
"Miss Marian?" I frowned. It's been ages since I last talked to lola Marian. "Ok, ok."
Audrey nodded then left my office. I reached for the phone and pressed line 4. "Yes, tita Marian?"
"Ang tagal mo naman." reklamo agad ni lola Marian.
"Busy." I answered instead. "What's up, tita?"
"Well?"
"Well what?"
"Why can't we contact you lately?" asked lola Marian. "You're phone is always out of reach and you're always not there when I'm calling."
"Ah, that." napasandal ako sa upuan ko. "I broke my phone. And I'm a bit... busy."
"Busy with what? This is why I'm not surprise about what Gwen did." I heard her sigh.
I frowned at Gwen's name. "What about Gwen?"
"She came over there. Didn't she tell?" answered lola Marian with a disapproving voice. "She left your son alone in the hospital! What a girl."
Napadiretso ako ng upo. "Wait... What? Gwen's coming here? And she left my son? But, lol-- I mean, tita, Daniel is not my s--"
"Hay, Nathan! She's already there!" medyo inis atang sabi ni lola Marian. Di talaga type si Gwen eh. I told her everything that happened when I couldn't take what was happening to my life before. "Why do you have to be with Gwen kasi eh! I want Gianna! I miss her! I hate that evil girl. She's the total opposite of your son!"
"Tita, Daniel is not my so--"
"That adorable little angel! He's alone with me and that boring old kuya Martin but he's still a good boy and doesn't even throw tantrums!" lola Marian interrupted.
I rolled my eyes. "What I want to know is, tita, is Gwen here?"
"I just said it!" snapped lola Marian. "Didn't she go to your office?"
I hastily stood up. "I don't know. I'll ask my assistant. Be right back." I told lola Marian then laid the phone on my table.
Dali-dali akong lumabas ng office ko. "Did someone came and looked for me?" I asked Audrey.
"None, sir." she answered surprisedly. "But someone did call and asked for you a few days ago, Sir."
"Who was it?"
Audrey reached for a record book. "She said her name was Gwen."
"What did you tell her?" I asked then closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. Sht! Ano bang iniisip ni Gwen!? Iniwan nyang mag-isa si Daniel sa hospital!
"I told her you were with having a dinner with Miss Gianna." answered Audrey. "She even asked if Miss Gianna is friends with Mr. Luke Lopez."
I slammed my hand on her desk. Ba't di nya sinabi?! "Why didn't you told me?!"
"I-- I-I mentioned it yesterday, Sir." Audrey flinched. "But you just nodded and dismissed me."
I just gritted my teeth and tried to relax myself. It's not her fault. It's not. "Ok. Just-- Just cancel all my meetings." I told her then ran to the nearest elevator.

"Gi!" I called Gianna when I saw her climbing out of the elevator. She turned around and smiled at me.
Tumakbo ako papalapit sa kanya. Medyo hingal pa ako nung nakalapit ako sa kanya. "We-- need to-- t-talk."
"About what?"
I took a deep breath and stared at her. "About us. About Gwen."
"Ah." she smiled bitterly. I reached for her but she stepped backwards. "Us. Gwen. Really, Nathan. I've had enough."
"But--"
She turned her back on me. "You never told me you're getting married. Congrats."
My chest tightened painfully. She can't be giving up on us, can she? "Gi, let me explain."
"Nathan, please." she sighed. "Look! I don't give a damn anymore! Leave me alone! Just think about your son and marriage. I heard he's hospitalized. Stop wasting your time here and go back."
And before I can say something, Gianna walked away. Leaving me.
Again.
I was about to follow her when Gwen appeared in front of me.
"No, Nathan." she hugged me tight. "I won't allow it."
I gritted my teeth and pushed her away. I've been deceived enough. I've sacrificed enough and it's not even because of love. "I've had enough, Gwen."
Then, without looking back at her, I ran after Gianna. I have to tell her about everything. She needs to know. She already suffered too much.
Why is it like that? Why do I keep on hurting the one I love? Why does she have to give up now? After all the things I did? Why is it like that? Why are we being seperated from each other when we just reconciled? Why life is so unfair?
"Gi." I whispered when I saw her figure. I just have to run after her, right?
"No!" Gwen screamed and grabbed me from behind.
I struggled at her hug. Sht! Why does she always ruin my happiness?! "Let me go, Gwen!"
"I won't let you! I need you! Daniel needs you!"
"Stop being so selfish! Let me go!"
"I won't!"
I turned around and faced her then grabbed her shoulders. "Gwen!" I shouted angrily at her. I just simply hate her now. She ruined my life, my love, my family, my freedom! I hate her! Every beat of my heart shouts hate on her! I've given everything to her but she just ruined what I have! "We're done! We're already through! Years ago! I've already moved on! I don't love you!" I shouted at her. Tapos galit kong tinuro yung dibdib ko. "It's Gianna who owns my heart! Not you! Stop ruining my life! You don't even need me. You just need my money! I'll give it to you so will you stop coming after m--" I held the part where Gwen slapped me.
"Stop that bullshit!" she cried. "I'm not something that can be bought! All I want is to give my Daniel a decent life! A decent family! Don't think that all I want from you is money!"
Nanglalambot akong napaupo sa daan. Pagod na ako. Pagod na pagod na ako. Hindi ko na alam. Iniwan ako ng mahal ko. Nasasaktan ako para kay Daniel. Wala naman syang kasalan. Hindi ko na talaga alam. Ano ba dapat ang gawin ko? Gulong-gulo na ako.
I stared at Gwen's crying figure. Pati sya, napaupo na rin sa daan. Hindi ko na talaga alam. Marami ng nasaktan. Marami ng nawala. Hindi ko na alam kung mababalik ko pa kung ano yung nawala.
Napatingin nalang ako kay Gwen nung ilabas nya yung cellphone nya.
"Hello?" she said. Then, I saw her eyes widen in shock and her phone fall on the ground.
"Nathan." she called. "Daniel's in critical condition. Lolo Martin has been..."
"Has been what?" dugtong ko agad nung napatigil sya.
She stared at me looking she's about to cry. "Shot." she whispered.
I felt my heart beat stop. Sht.

*Gianna's POV*
I stared at the ceiling of my condo. I just woke up but I don't have the energy to be up.
I smiled bitterly at myself. I lost Sam, I lost Nathan, I lost Angel and I lost motivation in life. I lost everything. What kind of idiot am I, really?
I tossed around my bed and hugged my pillow. I just want to sleep. I don't want to face reality. I just want to run away again.
Why life is like this? So unfair. I just want to be happy. Really. I just want to be with Nathan. Huh. Seems impossible now.
I sighed and got up. This will be a loooong day.
I headed to my closet to choose what I should wear today. But, when I saw my reflection in the mirror, I stopped.
Everything is gone from me. The cheerfulness, optimism, happiness, everything. What had happened to me?
I stared at my lifeless eyes. Why do I look like a doll? Expressionless and cold. Where's the twinkle in my eyes? They look so boring. No. Wait, there's something in my eyes. Tears. I'm crying. Why? I told myself I won't cry. I made this decision so I must pay for the consequence.
Then, I just found myself lying on the floor, crying. I don't want this. I've had enough of being broken hearted. I'm sick and tired of this feeling. Isn't the first time enough?
When I'm already tired of crying, I sat up and hugged myself. Enough of this. I look pathetic.
It was when I stood up when I felt a huge wave of nausea coming to me. And before I can stop myself, I was running towards the bathroom. Without thinking, I bent down on the sink and threw up. Ugh. My stomach feels so acidic.
After doing my business, I stood up. Ugh. What's wrong with me? Every morning, it's always like this. Weird cravings like a few days ago, too.
I massaged my stomach to calm it.
Oh, sht.
I pushed my hand a little to my stomach. Oh, sht, sht, sht.
I can feel a soft bump in my abdomen which isn't there before.
I closed my eyes. A life inside me? This can't be possible. But... I have to make sure.
I rushed out of the bathroom and looked for my phone. When I got it, I scanned through my contacts. My first thought was, Nathan. But, I can't. No, not him. I can't call Destiny either. She already came back to the Philippines.
My hand stopped when my eyes landed on the name of the person who was always there for me.
Sam.
I dialed his number and prayed.
Then, the ringing stop.
"Hello?"
"Sam." I whispered. "I'm in trouble."
