"On April 27th, 17 year old Seo Joonyoung was found dead near the streets of ********. He seemed to have been murdered, as there were a total of 15 stab wounds on his back, chest, arms, and legs. The murderer has not been found and escaped, but the police are interrogating the scene. He was stabbed approximately at 5:30 AM. According to his parents, the last time they saw him was when he went out to....."
"Yeesh." you said as you stared at the TV. You were bored this morning so you turned on the television in hopes of finding something entertaining. Instead, you found yourself listening to some reporter dude telling you how a 17 year old boy was murdered near your house a couple hours ago.
"17? Damn." you said as you continued to watch. You turned it off and sighed. You were all alone in the house today, and it would probably stay like that for the next 6 weeks because Bobby had to go all the way to Busan for some College thing. Your mother had to go with him, so you were going to be alone until they came back.
You would've called your boyfriend over, but you thought about it and realized that you've been doing absolutely everything with him lately. You saw how you were being a bit too clingy yourself, and even if you'd love it if he came over, you didn't want to bother him every second of the day and decided not to call him. So, for the next three hours, all you did was lay around and do nothing. You somehow ended up on the floor of the living room. You texted your brother, but he didn't reply. He was probably busy. When you went on social media, Chanwoo posted a picture of him and Ara.
"Something is up with those two and they aren't telling me......" you muttered as you liked the picture. After an hour, you put down your phone and sighed. You rubbed your eyes before getting up to make food. You weren't the best at cooking, but you knew how to make a few small dishes. You also knew how to make Ramen, so food wasn't that much of a problem. You made your food and sat at the table, but paused for a bit before slowly starting to eat.
Eating by yourself was lonelier than you thought.

You were outside, heading back to your house. For a while, you walked around the park just to pass time. It was dark now, so you wanted to go back home. You could see the cafe ahead of you which indicated that you were close to your house. Two minutes away, you noticed a second shadow behind you. It was a man with a hood on, and you didn't really care about him until you realized that he was still behind you for an entire minute. Your heart stopped. Oh, crap.
He's following you.
Your eyebrows furrowed, but then you remembered what you saw on the news this morning. Your heart began to pound in fear. You didn't say a single word and just walked a bit faster. Your phone was in your pocket and you were tempted to call your boyfriend, but you weren't that far from your house. Just walk a bit more. Home is only a minute away. Keep walking, (Y/N). Don't stop, keep walking. You thought to yourself. You picked up the pace and sped up, but so did the creep behind you. Oh, God, oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no......go away, go away....... You thought.
When you saw your neighborhood, you picked up your courage and decided to make a run for it. You began to sprint into your neighborhood. You ran as fast as you could, but the person behind you began to run too. Dammit! You ran even faster until you couldn't feel your legs. At this rate, they were running automatically. You were panting heavily and your chest was burning. Your asthma was effecting you, but when you saw your house you told yourself to run just a little bit faster. You didn't look back, you didn't even know if that guy was following you anymore. All you wanted to do was just get into your house.
As you got closer to your house, you took out your keys. Quickly, you unlocked the door and ran in, slamming the door shut. You were panting with your hands still grabbing tightly on the doorknob. You began to cough violently and it became harder to breathe. You managed to go upstairs into your room and take out your spare inhaler from the drawer. Once you calmed your breathing, you headed downstairs and stopped in the middle of the stairs, looking at the door. You sighed in relief. You went to the kitchen and wanted to get a glass of water, but right as you took out a cup, someone knocked at the door. Your heart stopped again.
You waited for a moment until the door knocked again. Your eyes widened and fear came back to you. That was when the doorknob started to move around. Someone is trying to get in. You froze in fear and just watched as the doorknob unlocked and began to turn. Out of all the freaking times I couldn't run, why now?! You thought. Holy crap, does this creep know how to unlock doors without a key?
Your state of shock didn't allow you to move at all. It didn't allow you to run. You just stood there with your eyes widened, watching as the door slowly began to open. Your heart was pounding like mad, you couldn't feel your legs, and you somehow lost the ability to hear. All focus was directed at that damn doorknob. Oh God.......
".........(Y/N)??"
You saw as your boyfriend peeked his head from behind the door.
"(Y/N), why didn't you answer the-" he stopped when he saw the tear that streamed down your face. You suddenly dropped the cup of water you were holding and it shattered into a million little pieces once it hit the floor. Water splattered everywhere and the shards of glass ended up scraping your hand, legs, and once on your cheek.
"Baby, Oh my God!" he gasped as he immediately ran over to you. You were still in the same position since you still couldn't move. You didn't speak. You just watched as he stopped where the glass scattered on the floor. He looked at you.
"Baby, stay there. I'm coming to get you." he said before carefully walking through the glass shards. That was when you felt your heart beating, you heard your boyfriend speak, and you could move. You snapped out of your trance and gladly went into your boyfriend's arms as he picked you up and brought you to the couch.
You then noticed the scratches on your arms and legs.
"I'll be back." Jinhwan said before he ran upstairs. He came back with a first aid kit.
"What happened back there?" he asked as he began to tend to your wounds. You sniffed and he looked at you. He stared at you and you realised it was because you were still crying.
"I-It's fine, really. I was just startled." you said quickly as you wiped your tears. He gave you a guilty look before leaning to give you a kiss on your forehead and then gently patched up your arm.
"Sorry." you said quietly as you looked away from him.
"For what?" he asked.
"That you have to do all this for me." you said.
"Baby, please don't ever think that I would leave you alone in this state." he said. You sighed.
"Your mother called me today. She saw the news this morning and wanted me to stay with you for the next few days. I knocked on the door and called your name, but you didn't answer. I started to think that something happened to you so I used the spare key you gave me and came in." he explained. You stared at him. He chuckled.
"Thank goodness nothing really happened to you." he said. You looked down.
"I ran." you said.
"Hm?" he said.
"I was being followed.......and I ran." you said. Jinhwan's smile disappeared.
"What?" he asked.
"Some guy was following me before I came in. He was covering his face with his hood and he chased me. I ran from him and came inside the house and I thought it was him when you started fiddling with the door. I just got.....startled.....and then the glass...." you said. Jinhwan suddenly brought you into a tight hug.
"No wonder you were so scared." he said.
"Why didn't you call me?" Jinhwan asked.
"Because.....I thought.....I was right next to the house and I didn't think.....I mean I was going to call you earlier if you could come over and keep me company, but I didn't want to be annoying so I didn't-"
"Baby, you're not annoying! Doing that would never annoy me, please don't think that I wouldn't want to be with you. I'm okay if you want me to come over whenever you want. You don't need to be scared." he said. You sighed.
"Sorry." you said even quieter.
"....Well, I'm all good now, Jinhwan. Thank you." you said, trying to change the subject. You gave him a smile, which made him break into a chuckle. He got a band-aid and put it on your cheek.
"Missed a spot." he said. You touched the band-aid before noticing that he had a small scratch on his own cheek as well. You smiled before putting one on his cheek.
"You too, Oppa." you said. The two of you stared at each other before breaking into giggles. He hugged you and kissed your cheek while you wrapped your arms around him and laughed.
Once it was time to sleep, you sat in your room and waited for Jinhwan to finish washing up.
"Should I sleep on the couch?" you asked him. He shook his head.
"Oh....do you want to sleep on the couch?" you asked. He shook his head. You blinked.
"Let's both sleep on the bed." he said, making you choke.
"The two of us on my tiny bed??" you asked. He nodded.
"O-Okay, then...." you said quietly as your boyfriend turned off the lights.
And so, you watched as Jinhwan got into the bed first and then crawled under the blankets right next to him. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into a spooning position, which made you feel really secure.
"I love you~" Jinhwan said quietly.
"Me too, Jinhwan, Goodnight." you replied before closing your eyes and falling into a deep sleep in your boyfriend's arms.
