It was about a week later, when Kells showed up to Sian's apartment. She was out as she had her meeting with the modelling agency, mine was finally booked for next week.
"Who is it?" I asked through the intercom
"Kells,"
My tone immediately shifted "What are you doing here?"
"I want to talk to you, please let me in,"
I paused and thought about it for a minute, but I still wasn't ready to have the conversation with a level head, and I knew if we had it now I'd say something in the moment that I would regret forever "I'm sorry, I'll call you soon,"
"Chloe," He said, sounding like he had tears in his eyes "I'm sorry," I released the intercom, walked over to the couch and lay down on it. A single tear rolled down my cheek as I wondered whether or not I'd made the right choice. I missed him; I missed him so much. And I really wanted to forgive him, but it was hard. People never understand the pain that came with being cheated on until they had been cheated on, and I wished so much that I didn't underestimate it. The rage and anger was temporary, it lasted maybe ten minutes, and then there was the excruciating emotional pain that came after which seemed impossible to shake. Only the people you love the most will truly hurt you.
Sian💓💓: umm not to alarm u but Kells is sitting on the steps of the building
Me: what where r u
Sian💓💓: in my car
Me: he's been there for like an hour
Sian💓💓: EXPLAIN
Me: I will just come up
Sian💓💓: okay what do i do if he wants me to let him in
Me: NO
Sian: okay okay I'm coming
"Spill some tea please," Sian said the second she got in the apartment
"He showed up and wanted me to let him in but I didn't,"
"Ugh boring. Chlo he looked like he'd been crying,"
"Don't tell me that. God, what do I do?" I asked her, on the verge of tears myself
"Forgive him! Right tomorrow I'm not doing anything so you can have him round for like coffee or something and I'll be the mediator," Sian explained, it sounded like a pretty good plan to be fair
"There's going to be a lot of crying I'm warning you know,"
"Well its a damn good thing I bought tissues when I went to the store to get you pot noodle," Sian said. Yep, another strange pregnancy craving.
"You're the best,"
"I know,"
