The next morning I woke up to my alarm going off.
"Good morning darling."Mom smiled sweetly. "You can stay home today Okay?"
I nodded,I had explained my parents everything last night.
She kissed my forehead and smiled again. "I'll be back at 6"
"Okay."I smiled and she walked away.
I stood up and changed into some Nike black leggings,a Nike white t-shirt and a grey random hoodie.
I walked downstairs and grabbed a bowl and sone cereals and milk.
I sat down on my kitchen island and started eating my breakfast.
I felt so confused,it felt like it had all been a dream,I didn't know what happened with the Orlanos or Iris or David.
I really needed Finn by my side.
Then I heard a knock on the door and I stood up confused.
I opened the door and saw the curly haired boy I wanted.
"Hey."He said with a pitty smile.
"Hey."I said and he walked in.
I closed the door and turned around,he was standing in front of me still with concern in his face.
I hugged him and he wrapped his arms around me giving me a warm sensation.
"Are you feeling any better?"He asked.
"Yeah."I said.
We were still hugging.
"I'm just confused and shocked."I said.
Then we pulled away but his arms were still wrapped around my waist.
"You're gonna be late."I said.
"I'm skipping,you need some company."He said making me smile for the first time in a while.
"Are you sure?"I asked.
"Yeah,I always did it before you came"He said and I chuckled.
We sat on the island and I finished my breakfast.

We were both cuddling on the couch watching Netflix.
"You know anything about Iris's family?"I asked.
"Yeah,the funeral is tomorrow."He said. "Hey um,the snowball is on Friday,if you don't wanna go I totally understand it I'll stay with you if yo-"I cut him off by kissing his lips.
He kissed back and it felt really good like it made me forget everything for a bit.
When we pulled away our foreheads were resting on each other's.
"I'm going to the snowball."I said and he smiled.
"You sure?"He asked.
"Of course!"I said. "I would never miss it,I mean,I have a date with Finn Wolfhard!The most popular boy in school!"I said with a popular dumb girl voice and he laughed.
"Okay."He said.
I rested my head on his shoulder and my hand on his chest.
I loved him so much.

When we began to be hungry he ordered a pizza and we both walked up to my room.
"You look cute in that hoodie."He said and I blushed.
He walked closer and lifted my head up.
He looked at me straight in the eyes and started leaning in.
Just before our lips connected the door bell rang.
"Saved by the bell."I joked when I saw his annoyed expression.
He chuckled and we walked downstairs.
I opened the door hoping it was the pizza but it wasn't.
It was Lauren.
"Lauren?"I asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh Finn."She said. "I'm sorry if I interrupted something I can come back later."
"No it's okay."I said.
She nodded and walked in.
"Okay first off,are you okay?"She asked as we both sat down.
"I'm just confused."I said.
"I really need to tell you something Millie."She said.
She looked at Finn who was on his phone in the kitchen.
"Um let me explain you what happened yesterday."She said. "My-my boyfriend broke up with me yesterday,he cheated on me with Iris.I don't know what happened to me,I had a big mix of emotions and anxiety.I just walked to the bathroom to calm down and clean my face and there she was.
She smiled at me while putting her lipstick on and told me that she had a date with my ex.I just lost control and,and well you know and then Johnny walked in and he thought I was crying and then he walked away,I just walked away too and then I came back and locked the door thinking no one was in there but you were and I'm sorry."
"Lauren."I said swallowing slowly. "Did you kill Iris?"
"I just lost control I don't even reme-"I cut her off.
"Did you kill Iris?"I asked again.
"Yes."She said.
I just gasped.
Lauren killed Iris.
"No."It's all I could say.
"I just lost control."She said. "They'll probably catch me soon because of the cameras and I just wanted to apologize."Her voice started cracking.
"Lauren you killed someone."I said.
"I lost control Millie!I don't know what happened to me."She said.
"That's not an excuse."I said. "You-you took someone's life,you killed Iris!"
"I know okay?!"She yelled at me making me get scared.
She held my hand tightly.
"I know that Millie!"She kept yelling. "And I came here hoping you could cheer me up but you're just reminding me what I did!"
My eyes widened.
Then Finn started walking towards us glaring at her.
"Look."She said now quietly but still grabbing my hand with strength. "I feel really bad,I just,I don't know where they're gonna take me and what'll happen with Johnny and my parents,and I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry,but she fucking hooked up with my boyfriend!She deserves it!"
"She didn't deserve it!"I said. "That's just...psycho"
Then I felt her slap me in the face.
"Okay that's it!"Finn yelled walking closer. "Leave"
She stood up and walked away.
I just sat there still shocked about everything.
I heard the door close and Finn walked back with me.
"Are you okay?"He asked.
I nodded with a hand on my cheek.
"I'm sorry."He said.
"You didn't do anything."I said . "I can't believe she did it."
"Hey Hey Hey."He said holding both of my hands. "I'm not gonna let you get down because of that okay,we're gonna hang out and forget about everything else."
I nodded and the door bell rang.
He squeezed my hands and walked to the door to get the pizza.

When we had ate it all we were laughing so hard because we did a competition on who ate a piece faster,he won and I almost chocked.
"Oh my god!"I laughed.
He laughed and I loved his laugh.
"That was hilarious."He said and I kept laughing.
"I know!"I laughed.
We cuddled for the rest of the afternoon and he left before my parents came home.
