Amanda climbed into the shotgun seat seeing both the Sprouse twins in the car, Amanda glanced into the back seats to spot a nervous Dylan,
"Hello lover boy." She teased buckling her seatbelt,
He blushed groaning flopping into the seat behind him, Cole rolled his eyes chuckling driving off into the streets of New York City,
Amanda ran a hand through her blonde hair, "Where are we going?"
"We're gonna look at dogs and hope that they aren't expensive." Cole explained turning the steering wheel, Amanda smirked shaking her head,
"Well while we were texting I checked the prices and they weren't ideal." She stated looking at both the twins,
Dylan's eyes widened, "How much were they?"
Amanda pressed her lips into a thin line looking away from the both of them and into the NYC streets, "700 - 1500."
Dylan practically screeched, Cole blinked a couple times confused. Amanda shrugged looking at the boys, Dylan sighed twirling a piece of his blonde locks in his hand, "Well they better be cute."
Cole stopped at the light turning around looking at his brother, "You're still getting one?"
"Well, Amanda how long has she wanted a husky?" He questioned sitting up,
Amanda thought for a minute before responding, "Since she was like eleven?"
"If she's been waiting for nearly twelve years then that's twelve years too many." Dylan muttered not wanting the two in front of him to hear.
Cole looked back at the street and Amanda let out a loud 'Awee!' They pulled into a parking lot of 'Adopt A Pet.' All of them climbed out of the car scanning the brick building. They walked into it looking around, small barks were heard from a few dogs that sat in pet friendly rooms.
A petite wavy haired brunette made her way towards the three of them, "Hi! My name's Kayla how can I help you?"
"We're looking for uh huskies?" Cole suggested smiling slightly,
She waved her hand indicated them to follow her, "Right this way."
They followed, the sounds of snakes hissing, cats meowing, and dogs barking roared throughout the rooms. Kayla opened the door to outside, all of them stepped through it. They were everywhere, Huskies were everywhere. They chased each other, some slept on the soft grass, others chased balls that bounced off the glass dome that they were being kept in.
Kayla smiled at the three introducing them to the dogs, "They all come from different families and some don't even have names yet. The babies are the ones playing with the balls, looking for a younger one?"
The twins looked at Amanda hoping she'd know what kind Angela would want, Amanda nodded with a warm smile, "Yeah a baby."
Kayla walked towards the babies, they followed her from behind. She whistled causing the babies to stop and start panting. Kayla signaled them towards their water bowls and the listened.
While they drank, Kayla started to introduce them to the babies, she pointed at a gorgeous fluffy small white husky who was happily drinking his water, "He's a new one, he's been here for about a week and ranges at about 800 dollars."
They're eyes widened but nonetheless, started petting him. He picked up his head from the water bowl nuzzling into their hands,
Kayla gestured towards another one of them, he has brown patches around his body and was a little bigger than the white one they were currently petting, "He's been here for a couples months and had an easy time adjusting to his new environment."
They listened intently to the rest of the introductions from Kayla, "So I'll give you guys some time to decide who you want to adopt, I'll be back in a bit!"
Kayla left the room leaving them to discuss which one they were going to get, Cole was cuddling three puppies at once listening in on Amanda and Dylan's conversation.
"Well, which one would she want?" Dylan asked pulling his hand away from the happy puppies,
Amanda scooped up the first white one that had caught her eye, "This one for sure."
Dylan smiled petting the puppy in her arms, they both of them turned around to Cole's giggles. He was cuddling nearly all the dogs that were in the current pen, Amanda sighed shaking her head.
"So what's been up with you guys?" Dylan hinted smirking,
Amanda tilted her head confused, "What're you talking about?"
Dylan chuckled shaking his head, "You and Cole? I could've swore you guys hated each other last month, and now the both of you are back together?"
Amanda blushed petting the puppy more, "We've talked and resolved the problems, got me thinking and we're trying again."
Dylan nodded smirking some more, "He's in love with you Amanda, he told me before your concert the other day."
Amanda raised an eyebrow at him, "He does?"
Amanda blushed causing Dylan to mimic Amanda from earlier, a loud 'Awe!' was released from his mouth causing Cole to look at them, "Huh?"
The two of you turned around facing Cole who was still littered in puppies, "We decided on which one we're getting."
Cole looked at the puppy in your arms smiling and letting out a 'yay!'
They waited for Kayla and filled out paperwork for the puppy, Cole was having too much fun with him though. While Dylan and Amanda finished up the paperwork, Kayla handed them a leash and collar for him. They thanked her gratefully, Cole picked up the small dog taking him into the car following Dylan and Amanda.
Once they got into the car they all took in a large breath, Dylan was the first one to speak, "Thank god."
Amanda giggled buckling her seatbelt, "Now we need to get mcnuggets and make them look like flowers!"
The boys groaned loudly buckling their seat belts as well, Dylan cuddled the dog in the back. Cole drove into the mcdonalds drive through not too far from the pet store, Cole ordered the nuggets while Amanda attempted to distract Angela on the phone. She put it on speaker looking at the boys,
"Amanda? Where are you?" Angela spoke from the phone,
"I'm just uhm out." Amanda answered,
Amanda was able to tell Angela was suspicious, "Right, uh where are you?"
"The mall." She responded quickly hoping she'd buy it,
"Oh! Ok well when will you be back? I have something I wanna show you." Angela inquired,
Amanda sighed shutting her eyes, "Uhh like ten minutes? Maybe five?"
"Mkay I'll talk to you soon yeah?" Angela chirped,
"Yeah-Yeah you will." Amanda muttered,
Angela said goodbye before Amanda hanging up, the boys were still in the process of sticking chicken nuggets onto the sticks. Amanda shook her head giggling at the both of them, "You guys are crazy."
"Crazy in love by Beyonce." Dylan exclaimed wiping the grease off of his hands, the dog slept peacefully next to him not bothered by the chicken nuggets. Amanda clipped his collar on and hooked his leash on as Cole drove back to Amanda's hotel.
All of them got out of the car, all of a sudden Dylan was washed over with fear.
"W-What if she hates it?" He stuttered holding the chicken nuggets and dog leash,
"Dylan, I've known Ang since we were in diapers, she's going to love it I promise you." Amanda told Dylan, Cole nodded patting his brother on the back.
They initiated a plan, Amanda was going to be the first to walk in and act like she just got home from the mall with Cole. Then Dylan would knock on the door and hopefully Angela won't cry.
Dylan sat in the lobby a couple doors down from their second floor hotel room. Cole and Amanda walked back into the hotel room looking for Angela.
"Ang? I'm home!" Amanda called placing Cole's keys on the counter,
Angela walked out of the hallway waving, she raised an eyebrow at Amanda, "You guys didn't buy anything at the mall?"
"We uhm, just went there to eat." Amanda implied tapping her fingers on the counter,
Angela nodded taking a seat on the stool near the small kitchen, "I just wanted to show you our insights though it's not that important."
Amanda nodded peering over her shoulder, Cole also glanced over at them but all of them were broken apart from a knock at the door.
Angela groaned walking over to the door, Cole and Amanda looked at each other smiling widely. Cole wrapped one of his hands around Amanda's waist watching Angela open the door, Dylan smiled slightly looking at her dead in the eye, "Hi."
Angela's mouth dropped, she turned around looking at both Cole and her best friend. Her blonde hair bounced off her shoulders when she looked back at Dylan, tears started to leak from her eyes as she squealed looking at the small dog near his feet. Dylan mouthed a 'thank you' towards the couple, they nodded at him smiling brightly.
Angela stood back up wiping her damp eyes, she pressed a kiss to his cheek. Amanda couldn't help but let out an extremely loud, "Aweeeee!"
The two of them looked at her, Angela blushed taking the nugget bouquet from him. Dylan wrapped an arm around her grinning.
About twenty minutes later, Angela was finally calm. She had decided on naming the puppy 'Olaf' based off her favorite disney movie. Olaf slept on her denim skirt peacefully while she ate her chicken nuggets.
"So you weren't at the mall?" Angela asked Amanda,
Amanda shook her head giggling, "Nope."
Angela smiled softly at the three of them, "Thank you."
"It was all Dylan's idea, we were just dragged along." Cole exclaimed sipping from his coke can,
Amanda nodded looking at the blushing Dylan, Angela's legs were swung over Dylan's. Amanda opened her mouth to say 'Awe' for the fourth time that day, but she provoked herself. Cole noticed this so he did it for her. The two rolled their eyes at him, Amanda sat up off of the couch,
"Dylan can I talk to you real quick?" Amanda suggested standing up,
Dylan nodded, Angela swung her legs back to where they were originally. Cole pet the puppy that sat peacefully on her lap, they continued conversing about what type of bed he should get.
Dylan followed Amanda into the hallway that was still dangerously close to where Angela sat, "You wanted to talk?"
Amanda nodded, "You need to take care of her okay? I'm so sick and tired of her beating herself up over a guy. Her thinking that she did something wrong when the guy she was with was really just a dick. I can tell you really care about her but please, take good care of her. I won't hesitate to break each one of your fingers and rip each nerve you have. Angela loves you Dylan, a lot. She hasn't admitted to it yet but she does, she really does and I hope you can return those feelings yeah?
Dylan nodded rapidly, "I would never hurt her, I promise I'll take care of her."
Amanda patted his shoulder, "Good."
