Blake's POV:
I arrived at Camp Kikiwaka and heard someone say griff's name from this one cabin I think it was called grizzly cabin or something like that, but anyways! I walked out knocking on the door and was so surprised to see griff standing in the doorway so I talked to him for a little bit.
Then I decided to go unpack so I asked griff where's woodchuck cabin was he told me it was next door, all I did was leave after that then realized my sister came to camp and found out she was in weasel cabin! I kinda feel bad for her but I also feel bad for me and griff.
You see you don't know me so here's some backstory! I have known griff since we were 2 his parents abandoned him and we took him in as our brother even though we weren't blood related we still did anyways. Well during the time he was with us we barely had any food and so he started stealing from stores I started to tag along because I didn't want to lose him as a friend, the truth is I started to have feelings for griff after a few years of us being best friends now we're 12 and we are starting over the better term is a fresh new start at this camp.
SO WHAT if I like griff? I mean can you blame me he is cute and awesome to be around, I mean I should know I grew up 10 years of my life with him. Those were the times, the best times! We eventually got caught while griff and I stole a skateboard, a tv, and i motorcycle! We both got put in juvie for it. I know I don't seem like the bad type but I am, I mean being around griff for all those years you catch on pretty fast! Also, griff and I are trying to change and I am hoping this camp will help us, I mean we need the help!
But the thing is, I like griff and I mean like like him. Mainly because he's awesome I wanted to go by his cabin to talk to him but I realized that my window was right by his and I decided to look out of it and seen one of the people that has been at camp kikiwaka for years I believe her name was Olivia! She was talking to griff on his bed so I was really curious so I decided to go by the door of his cabin just to see and hear what they were talking about! It turns out griff told her a part of the story that had happened before in his life so I just walked away now sitting here and thinking, I hope griff doesn't like her I mean not to be mean or anything it's just that I like griff and I want him to feel the same way I do about him!
I don't think I can see him with anybody else but me! You see the thing about relationships is that you have to be friends for a long time or someone you either have a lot of things in common or know each other well! Ok maybe I am going a little too far but still, griff and I are very close at least as we know of. Yeah I may not be the best person for him or I'm not his type and he is kinda mine but oh well! I have never told him anything about me and how I can sing. I know I know! What you are thinking you never told him about you and the fact that you can sing when you live with him for over 10 years?! I know, I'm getting a little carried away! I have an idea I'll write him a note and give it to him.
dear griff:
hey, griff, I haven't got to talk to you since we both got put in juvie but I have something I would love to tell you, so meet me in the music room so we can talk also make sure everyone in your cabin is asleep.

So that was the letter i would give him or put it on his bed and then just run to the music room. Also, it was really hard because I had to do it without people around. Then, I had to run to the music room so I was tired, stressed, and so upset about a lot of things.
Griff's POV:
After hanging out with Olivia the whole day I went back to my cabin and seen the note on my bed so I picked it up and read it, it was from blake telling me to meet her in the music room but she also told me to make sure that everyone in my cabin was asleep! So I did just that. I got ready for bed then hopped in waiting for then to go to sleep I see the light on in blake's cabin so I figured she was up reading a book so I made a paper airplane with a note inside and looked making sure that both of our windows were open then threw it, the note landed on her bed.
Blake's POV:
I laid in bed and just couldn't sleep so I decided to browse tiffany's bookshelf. She said I can read the books if I put them back when I was done! So I decided to look through the books found a book at the beginning of the adele and decided to read it going to my bed and turning the lamp next to my bed on, opened the book, and start reading it. A few minutes into reading my book I seen something land on my bed, at first I didn't know what it was but soon seen that it was a paper airplane I found it kinda odd but opened it anyway and this is what it said.
Couldn't get much sleep either sunshine?

I looked at the note for a few minutes and decided to write back to him.
Yeah, it's so hard to get sleep here.

I wrote as I was folding it back up and I threw it back.
After a few minutes of not hearing back from him, I assumed he went to sleep which I don't know how he could! Then, a few seconds later I heard a whisper at the window PSST I jumped out of my skin then looked at the window to see griff peering in.
"Oh my god griff! ", I almost screamed.
I said trying not to make as much noise to avoid waking my cabinmates up so I turned off the lamp and went to the window.
"So did you get the note.", I said trying not to smile.
"Yeah.", he said almost blushing.
"Are you ready to go to the music room.", I say.
"Yeah! let's go!", he says.
"Oh do you need help?", he says as I am trying too hard not to wake my cabin mates.
"Yeah! A little.", I say.
Griff helps me get down as quietly as he can and we run across the great lawn to the music room we head in and shut the door.
"So what did you want to talk about?", he says a little nervously.
"So do you remember when we were growing up together and we did all of those things well..", I said looking down at my shoes?
"Yeah what about them?", he says blushing and smiling.
"Well.. you see there are many things I haven't told you and I am sorry for that so I am gonna share a few so that's why we're gonna play 2 truths and a lie!
1. I know how to sing
2. I like you and have for a very long time
3. camp kikiwaka is good so far....", I said and read all the questions out loud.
He thought for a moment then he answered them.
"Ok! Um..the lie is that you like camp kikiwaka so far?", he said.
He thought about the other questions, then got a kinda shocked look on his face!
"oh..", he says as he starts to look up.
"Yeah.", I said kinda nervous.
I was nervous because I was thinking about what he would say next but he just smiled then turned around on the piano and started playing. I recognized the keys to be almost is never enough by Ariana grande so I started singing even though I hate singing in front of people I did anyways!
I'd like to say we gave it a try,
I'd like to blame it all on life.
Maybe we just weren't right,
but that's a lie,
that's a lie.
He looked up shocked than I just continued singing until the keys stop.
"Wow, Blake! How come I just now found out about this?", he said still shocked but happy.
"Because I don't sing in front of people it makes me nervous!", I say looking down.
"And you like me?", he said smiling the whole time.
"Yeah!", I said to avoid anything awkward.
"Oh well I have to tell you something too.", he said.
"what is it griff?", I say a little nervous.
"You see I liked you for a long time! I just never told you because I was scared that you wouldn't like me like that and you'd have feelings for someone else so I kept it for a long time but hearing it now from you, I like you too, Also I heard about what was in a couple of days Blake", griff said smiling.
"My birthday.", I said trying so hard not to smile or blush.
I felt tired, I looked at my watch to see that it was 2 in the morning so we decided to leave.
He took me back to my cabin and placed me on the bed as quietly as he could, he tucked me in, then walked back to his cabin. I looked to the side and I saw the book on my desk and I thought about putting it back but I was too tired to put it back, so I left it on my desk and then finally went to sleep.
the next morning
Griff's POV:
The night went on with us just talking then around 2 am we decided to leave the music room and head back to our cabins. I snuck Blake back in her cabin and tucked her in and left quietly then snuck back into my cabin. I finally got some sleep since I was tired too so I fell asleep thinking about blake.
The next morning I was thinking about what tomorrow as I know it was Blake's birthday but I didn't know the day so I decided to look at the calendar it was June 21st tomorrow so I decided to plan something but do it in the middle of the night.
I decided to finally get ready! I put on my shirt and flannel with some ripped jeans.
What shirt you maybe asking my "property of Maine prison system.'' shirt, my favorite one. I don't know why I decided to put a flannel on when it's summer but I did! I made my way to the mess hall to get some breakfast then went to go find blake she wasn't in the mess hall and I didn't see her in her cabin so I went to check the music room and the door was an open tiny bit. I saw her in the corner so I walked in and closed the door behind me.
"Blake?", I said trying not to sound scared.
"what's up griff?", she said.
"well, I was looking for you. I was a little scared that something was up.", I said.
"sniffles"...
I slowly walked over to her.
"hey are you ok, what's wrong?", I said.
"Nothing just that.", she said.
She was still trying to calm herself down.
"what?", I asked her.
I was trying not to seem like a jerk but it probably ended up sounding rude.
"Just that I don't hang out with you that much anymore since we got to camp.", she says.
She was still trying to hold back the tears.
"I know, I know! That I have not been talking to you I get that and I'm sorry, I get that I have been a terrible friend to you and I hate myself for that reason I try to be the best but I can't... I can't be perfect I can only be who I am.", I say.
I'm hugging her I felt like I had to do something I just wanted to wait for the right time then I asked her.
"Hey, do you want to hang out?" I asked just to get her to calm down.
"Sure!", she said.
I told her to get something she can swim in and that I'd be right back! I went into my cabin and got some shorts on and left my shirt and flannel on since I didn't feel like changing that then I ran to the dock after telling Xander that I was gonna go in a canoe and that I'd be back later. So I ran to see blake already there. we hopped in as I got the paddles and we went on a canoe ride to the next island we got everything we needed even for lunch then we went to that island then we decided to play truth or dare.
"Hey! Let's play truth or dare.", I said.
"Ok. Hold on! Turn around.", she said
She changed behind me. I know this because I can hear her clothes dropping to the floor.
"Hey can I turn around now?", I said.
"Yeah.", she says.
So I turned back around and seen her jump in.
"Now you.", she said.
So I took the flannel and my shirt off then jumped in the water. We had a great time then when it was getting late so we decided to head back to the camp. I will never forget tonight even if it gets brought up years later.
Blake's POV:
Griff and I had a great time! I wish the night could last forever but it had to end. I know that camp is camp and that you have to pay attention to certain things we got everything we needed like our clothes and all they got in the canoe then headed back. Even though we were a little tired we just decided to skip dinner and go to the barn.
(i know her pov was short but there wasn't much to add into her pov)
Griff's POV:
We headed to the barn as soon as we got back but Jorge stopped us.
"Hey! Where have you guys been?", he asked with a kind of shocked look on his face.
"We were in the lake.", We both answered seemingly confused on why he was terrified.
"Oh ok! Are you guys coming for dinner?", he asked.
"No! We're not hungry.", we both told him.
Then he just walked away then we raced each other to the barn, Blake won and I lost! We both had fun. But like she said before we never got to hang out so I am gonna try and spend more time with her this summer. So I took her to the barn, we went in and shut the door behind us. We are sat in the corner of the room near the ladder leading up to the roof and caught up on life and about the stuff that happened before. I remember the loft or the roof as it's well known as. Then I took her to the loft and decided to talk to her about something we brought up last night!
"Hey so remember last night when I told you that I liked you.", she said.
I didn't remember what she was talking about then I remember we were playing 2 truths and a lie. She continued though.
"what were your 2 truths and a lie.", she asked.
"1. I like you to
2. I like to sing as well
3. this camp is amazing"
"ok the first ones were the truths and the last one was a lie.", she said.
"yep, you sit there and say that camp is awful then you gonna also include it in 2 truths and a lie well glad to see it was to lie.", she said smiling.
"well your not wrong.", I say.
"ha I knew it!", she said laughing and smiling.
"Hey griff?", she asked.
"What's up Blake ?", I say.
"Um..never mind I'll tell you later.", she says.
"Ok! We should start heading back it's getting late, but I'll see you later tonight, I say.
"Ok! let's go!", she says smiling a little bit.
They get their things and start climbing down, then head to the mess hall, once they got there they see tiffany was sitting at the table she waved over to griff and me to go and sit with her. We walked over and sat down. The rest of the night was a blur. I just remember Blake, Tiffany, and I walked out of the mess hall and then walked back to our cabins.
I walk into my cabin and everyone appeared to be gone then out of nowhere Xander comes out from behind the door.
"So where were you?", he asked kinda mad.
"I was on a canoe ride with Blake.", I told him.
"and why do you look damp?", he asked.
"well we fell in the water.", I said.
"Hmm.", he thought to himself.
It wasn't silent for long before he spoke again.
"So I looked on the calendar and seen that you marked blake's birthday on there, do you like her or something because if you do you can tell me.", he said.
"She's just a friend.", I said smiling.
"You're lying, I know you like her I mean it's obvious.", he said.
"ok. ok. I do. But I have a reason to, we've been friends since we were 2.", I said.
"Here I'll help you.", he said.
I was left confused and didn't know what he was talking about.
"help me help you with what?", I said still a little confused.
"With her present! Do you guys have any pictures or memories like that.", he says.
"Yeah, but they're all on my phone and my phone is with Gladys.", I say.
"well I can get it for you", he said.
"you can?", I asked him smiling.
"yea I can, but it's gonna take me a few minutes.", he said.
"ok just be careful.", I say.
Hey guys I am so sorry this chapter is longer than the rest I will try to make some of them a little shorter than they should be.
