Finding Yuu
*Yuu's POV*
"No." I cross my arms and turn away. Mika frowns.
"You don't want me to make you dinner?" He looks hurt, but I don't care.
"I said no." Mika sighs and pulls a stool up next to me, sitting down. It's late and Mika has been trying to get me to talk to him for the past couple of hours. It's obviously not working. I won't let him try to act like everything's okay.
"Please? Look, I said I was sorry!" I scoot my stool away from him.
"That doesn't make up for anything." Mika takes my hand and holds it close.
"How can I make it up to you?" I frown.
"By letting me go." Now it's Mika's turn to frown.
"Yuu-chan, are you serious? Why would you say that? Do you think I'm just going to release you?" I stand up, yanking my hand back, crossing my arms and glaring at him. Now I'm pissed.
"Why am I even here, huh?! Why?" Mika runs his hands down his face tiredly.
"We've been over this, Yuu." My face hardens.
"I don't care! I don't f^^king care! I'm sick of this!" Mika stands up, reaching for me, but I back away until my back hits the wall. "No no no."
"I love you, Yuu-chan. That's why."
"How?? WE HAD JUST MET THAT DAY AND YOU ALREADY LOVED ME AND WANTED TO KIDNAP ME??"
"I KNEW YOU ALL YOUR LIFE! YOU JUST DIDN'T KNOW ME." I freeze. Did he just say what I think he said? Mika's skin pales, his eyes turning red. "Oh no. No no no no no. I didn't mean that...i-it was a joke! I swear it!"
My skin turns green. He's known me all my life? What the hell is that supposed to mean??
I turn around and run towards the door just outside of the kitchen. If what he said is true, that means he's been stalking me all my life and I haven't even known it! I need to get out of here.
"Yuu-chan get back here right now!" Mika demands behind me.
I don't listen.
I'm so close to the door, freedom is right there—I can almost taste it—

*Shinoa's POV*
"So this is the vampire realm?" Mitsu asks, swallowing nervously. I rub my hands together and gaze down at the map that Yoichi is currently holding for me. We took turns.
"Yup." Kimi says. We're all very nervous. In our heads, this sounded like a great idea and an amazing plan. Now that we are actually staring at the realm, though, it all feels pretty stupid. How can four humans save another human from a vampire king in the middle of a vampire infested area?
"We should've thought this through more." I say quietly. Yoichi frowns.
"We did. And we made the right decision. Do you ever want to see Yuu again? To have him live with us and be somewhat safe again?" I sigh.
"Yes, I do."
"Same here." Mitsu chimes.
"I miss the little punk." Kimi adds. Yoichi straightens up.
"Good. Because so do I! But we won't be able to see him again if we don't at least try to save him. Don't you think he would be so grateful and happy if we came and got him?" We all nod. "Exactly. He would be so excited to come home. We need to do this. No, we HAVE to. For Yuu." We all clap.
"Nice speech." Kimi compliments. Yoichi blushes.
"Thank you very much. Now let's do this." We all nod, feeling fresh determination now that we had our goal set. "Use your love for Yuu to motivate you." He adds.
It was time.
The vampire realm had large black gates that enclosed the kingdom and the society. The gates, however, were locked. But, it was currently 21:00, which meant that the gates would be opening at any second. They open at certain times because vampires feed at different times of the day and night, usually they open every hour. Yup. We did our research.
"The gates should be opening soon," I say. "We need to hide somewhere until they open. When they do, we slip into the pack of vampires and try to blend in. Are we clear?" Mitsu salutes.
"Crystal."
"Alright good. Let's go." We get down low to the ground and inch our way to a crowd of bushes. The only problem we'll have is if we're either spotted by sight or scent.
"Everybody stay quiet." Yoichi whispers. We all fall silent. Eventually, the big gates open and a herd of vampires barrel into the realm.
"Now!" I whisper-shout. We all hurry out from our hiding spot and dash through the gates. We hurry deeper into the realm and pause behind a building.
"What now?" Mitsu gasps out, as she tries to catch her breath. We're all trying to catch our breath.
"Okay," I start, grabbing the map from Yoichi and examining it. "Mikaela is the king of the vampires, meaning that our destination is the kingdom. It should be easy to spot, since I'm assuming he lives in a large castle."
"So which direction do we take?" Kimi asks. I glance down at the map and bite my lip, chewing on it gently.
"Well, we're right here," Yoichi points to our spot. "We're behind a fang repair. How ironic. Can vampires even break their fangs?"
"Probably." Mitsu shrugs.
"Hey, back to the point." Kimi says.
"Right," Yoichi replies. "The kingdom is right here." He points down to a spot on the map where a picture of a giant castle appears.
"I was right." I muse.
"Yes. Anyways, we need to take a right behind this building and go straight."
"Then what?" Mitsu asks.
"Well, if I'm correct, we should just take the path straight to the kingdom. The kingdom is easy to reach from any angle, to our luck. But I believe this is the most easy and efficient way for us, since the path is behind a bunch of buildings and we hopefully won't get caught by any vampires."
"Great! Then let's get going." I say.
We start down the path after we make a right behind the building we were by. Then, we rush as secretly and slyly as we can down the path to the kingdom. When we reach it, my breath is taken away at how massive the castle is. Of course, there's always a problem. This time, there is another set of locked gates.
Yoichi yanks on them miserably. Kimi sighs, clearly annoyed with the whole situation.
"Are you kidding me?!" He growls. I glare at him.
"Shh! You're going to get us caught."
"If Yoichi keeps banging on the gates like that, he's gonna be the one to get us caught." I sigh.
"Let's just hide behind these trees and hope someone comes by." I suggest.
"Hey look!" Mitsu points over to a group of soldier-like vampires all wearing the same white suit. They're heading our way. "They look like they're coming into the kingdom."
"Okay, let's hide." I reply.
All four of us quickly hide behind the group of trees that are behind us. We slowly peek out from behind them and watch carefully. The soldiers come up to the gate and start to type in a code on the pad. There's a ding and then the gates slowly creak open.
Mitsu suddenly leans too far out, loses her balance, and falls down on a loose branch that's lying on the floor. The impact makes a loud cracking noise. I quickly yank her back behind the tree frantically. The soldiers pause, halfway into the kingdom. They cock their heads to the side and gaze in our area with clear interest. I gulp.
Eventually they turn back around and walk into the kingdom. We get up and hurry in after them, keeping it as subtle as possible. The gates slam shut, causing us all to flinch at the same time.
"Okay, now what?" Yoichi asks. I glance down at the map that I'm gripping tightly for dear life. "Hurry up, before we get caught."
"We need to go straight." I say nervously. "The castle is huge, easy to spot."
"Okay, let's go." Kimi says. We hide our weapons so we don't look suspicious. Keeping our heads down, we hurry down the path.
Eventually, we reach the large castle. As much as I hate vampires and the realm—especially the kingdom—I have to admit that it's still breathtakingly beautiful.
The castle is massive with multiple levels. It practically reaches the sky, because it's so tall and big. The castle is white, with red and purple accents on it. It looks spotless and shiny. It's absolutely magnificent.
"How do we get in?" Kimi asks. I bite my lip and chew on it again. I'm going to have a swollen lip by the end of this mission.
"I don't know." I admit nervously. Kimi glares at me.
"You don't know?! How do you not know?!" We walk up to the door and I stand there nervously (even more than before).
"I didn't think this part through! None of us did! It's not just my fault." I state, crossing my arms. Kimi groans and face palms.
"So what are we going to do now? Stand here and hope that the door is just going to fly open?"
Our prayers are soon answered, because just then, the door flies open.

*Yuu's POV*
I grab the handle, my palms sweaty. I can hear Mika coming up behind me but I don't care. I can at least try to escape, even if I'll be punished later if I fail. I just have to get out of here!
I twist the cold door knob and fling it open. A gust of wind meets my face and I jump when I see four figures standing before me.
I cannot believe my eyes. I rub them to see if I'm dreaming. I have to be dreaming! This can't be real! Mika hurries up behind me, wrapping an arm protectively around me and I flinch. He seems to forget that I'm trying to escape.
My jaw drops as I stare at four pairs of familiar widened eyes. My throat runs dry. I need to speak! Why can't I speak? I finally am able to form words. Well, a word.
"G-Guys?!"
