I removed my lips from his and look at Dylan who had calmed down.
Suddenly he kisses me and it feels right. I put my hands back on his face and he touches my hand.
It's just the two of us kissing in this empty classroom.
It's Dylan and me.
Wait a minute me and Dylan are kissing for real and it feels like that best kiss ever.
He pulls apart and stands up as do I. We both wipe our lips and then just sit on the floor.
"We kissed" he said puzzled.
"Yeah" I say and then we both get up and head our separate ways.
I still couldn't believe that I kissed him to calm him down and it worked. I couldn't believe he and I kissed. I couldn't stop trying about it what did it mean.
"Stasia" I say as she walks to her class and I'm about to head to science.
"I kissed Dylan like a few minutes ago on the lips" I tell her and her mouth opens and I think I hear what sounds like a squeal but I'm not sure.
"You like him did it mean anything to you!" She asks.
"It didn't I just did it to calm him down I saw it in a show so I figured it would calm him down but it didn't mean anything" I tell her and she's confused.
"Wait what" she exclaims confused.
"I gotta head to class" I tell her and walk off.
Science was awkward with Ryan looking at me the whole time. He tried to look around when I turned around but he was too slow. I mean it was nice and sweet that he still cared. But he did hurt me by kissing Nina.
"Josie can we please talk tonight at the game I want to explain everything," he tells me as the bell rings and we finish our midterm.
"Fine Ryan but afterward don't speak to me ever again," I tell him and head to Language Arts.
"Josie don't you have something to say to Issac" Stasia teases me.
"Hey Issac I'm so done with testing are you going to the game tonight Dylan and I kissed I need new Netflix shows"
"Wait what?" He exclaims and I awkwardly laugh.
"Yeah me and Dylan kissed but it doesn't mean anything" I explain to Issac.
"So what I'm hearing is I'm the only one not getting dick dammit I'm literally the hottest gay guy at our school" he expresses and I pat him on the back.
"Wait so what am I going with my Dyosie fanfic" he whines
"Issac just stop talking" I tell him and he understands my hint and shuts up.
As we finish our Language Arts midterm I had to history. Yasmin asked me why I tried to text her but I tell her never mind.
I look back to Dylan who was just reviewing his flash cards he made. Nerd.
What why was I even looking at him I swear I'm the most difficult and complicated 14 year old ever.
"Are you two dating you two spend a lot of time with each other" Yasmin nudges me and I hit her on the arm.
"No oh my god why can't a girl and a guy be friends without dating" I yell and the teacher shushes me.
Tonight after a long day of testing was the final football game. I was going with Issac, Stasia, Dylan, and Drew was going to take us this time.
Their family car happened to be a small little broken down a bit Honda. Issac sat on the other side of Dylan so I had to sit directly next to him.
"Dylan you sure you up for this I honestly think we should just stay here and watch a movie or something" Drew asks and then Dylan looks at me.
"I'll be fine I already had my fair share of a panic attack today" he says and Drew doesn't pull out of my driveway yet but stops the car.
"You did? At school buddy that's rough you could've texted me and I would've ditched class and find you" his brother says with sympathy.
"Josie was there" he softly says.
The tension was in the air so Drew finally decided to drive to the high school. It was a lot cooler at night so we all bought sweatshirts.
I stole one of my brother's cause it was big on me and kept me warm.
"Josie can we talk" Ryan says coming out of nowhere.
"Fine but it better be quick and real and no more lies or I'm never going to talk to you again" I tell him even though it didn't matter I wasn't planning on talking to him again.
It's freezing and I kinda wished it could snow but that's not what happens. He lead me to the field in which I ruined our first kiss.
"What do you want?"
"To explain everything listen"
"Why should I. I mean Nina is right I'm just another one of your girls" I say and turn so I don't face him.
"But you're not Josie the reason I didn't tell you the truth was because it wasn't a big deal" he says and he has to be joking.
"Not a big deal you kissed her and then lied to me about it. So I need a reason I'm a 9th grade I shouldn't have to be so focused on a guy like this!" I yell wanting to push him him.
"I didn't kiss her she kissed me so that's why I didn't want to tell you. I didn't want you to be mad cause I pushed her off" he tells me but I think back to the picture he had his hands on her waist.
"But you had your hands on her" I remind him and he then hits himself in the face.
"I was drunk I barely remembered anything that night but I just wanted you Josie. You're all I want and all I need Josie I want to be the guy you want. Even if I have to change everything to be with you" he tells me but nothing changes.
"Then prove it Ryan I need proof that you're not going to say this then hurt me again. I can't just be another one your girls to you" I say and I'm just frustrated.
"Cause you're not please Josie give me another chance I'll make it up to you for everything" he says and grabs my hands.
"But I don't know how to trust you again you're going to have to win me back" I tell him but then I look at him and then I think about it.
"Josie I love you" he tells me and then decides to walk up to me and kiss me on the lips.
