I'll be damn if I would say that I am enjoying my view right now. Hahahaha kanina pa kasi di mapakali ang mamaw. Masyado sya na conscious sa isusuot nya para sa dinner namin with my parents and my brother. Kahit nung nagdadrive sya medyo pinagpapawisan na sya. Tapos nung nasa tapat na kami ng pinto bigla nyang hinila yung kamay ko at hinawakan ng mahigpit.
Ghaad I can feel how cold his hands were. I remember saying to him to relax because it is just my family and he have met them for so many times but he simply replied to me...
"You can't blame me. I just throw shades at your brother yesterday. I feel so bad about it anae. What if your brother disagrees with our wedding? Geeesh I shouldn't have reacted that way. Fvck my luck. Damn"
"But pyon everything is settled na kaya. Wag ka na dyan kabahan. Si kuya lang naman yan hahahaha"
"No. He is still your brother. His approval matters to me."
"Okaaaay. If you say so."
And now that we are eating sobrang tahimik ni mamaw. Walang wala dati sa lantaran nyang pang aasar sa akin or what. Sumasagot naman sya every now and then sa mga business related questions nila mommy at daddy even kuya's question pero knowing him, sobrang reserved ng mga naging sagot nya.
I tried reaching out to him by holding his hand under the table. Agad naman syang napalingon sa akin.
I smiled at him and mouthed "chill okay?"
He nodded and eased up a bit.
"Any updates sa plan for the wedding? Hindi na kasi ako makikialam since I know your Mom is planning it while we're away?" (si Mama)
"Ah yes po Mama nakakuha na po si Mum ng planner at ongoing na po ang pag canvass at brainstorming ng mga possible theme na pwede naming pagpilian. The church is already secured po sa Europe. Inaantay na lang po na maging free si Anae sa schedules nya sa school para masama sya nila Mum sa couture shop na kakila nila for the gown fitting and measurements po" (si Ken)
They continue their talk about the preparations pero di ko maikakaila ang talim ng tingin ng kapatid ko kay mamaw.
"Keith" (si Kuya Ian)
"Po? Kenneth na lang Kuya Ian. I use Keith in my office po kasi. " (si Ken)
"Can we talk for a moment? Like just the two of us?" (si Kuya)
Nakita kong napalunok si Mamaw bago tumango.
"Kuya!"
"What? Princess, it's not like I will grill him or skin him alive for his antics yesterday? So what he kissed you in public? So what if he grabbed you and you spent the night handling his tantrums just because he's jealous? *evil smile* I wonder what you did to make him calm after seeing him seething yesterday" (si Kuya)
Tuluyan ng nasamid si Kenneth sa pag inom ng wine nya bwahahahha. Wawa naman ang pyon ko nilaglag ni kuya kila mama at papa. Alam na alam naman ni mamaw na kahit 'ibugaw' na nila ako sa kanya ayaw pa rin naman nila na nakikita kami ng ganun in public kasi para kay papa baby girl nya pa din ako.
"You just did that Kenneth Kevin Keith?" gone is the humor my Papa have earlier.
"I'm so sorry for that po Papa. It's just that Anae has been too cold to me for the past few days and seeing him hug someone the way I want her to hug me fueled my jealousy po. Desperation got me and her rejection added to my clouded mind so I just did what I did and I'm so sorry po if I have caused a scene. "
"Huy! I didn't reject you ah? Diba nga nag yes na ko?"
Pinandidilatan ko na si mamaw ng mata nyan. Natatawa na lang sila mama at papa.
"Nope you ran away with my proposal that time! What do you want me to think?"
"Huy! Anong proposal ka dyan?! Tinanong mo lang ako if -"
"I asked you to be my girlfriend but you ran away!"
"Huy!-"
"Hey hey stop you too. Okay so clear tayo na di na lang to basta basta arranged marriage I suppose? You asked my daughter? What for? Engaged na kayong dalawa ni AeiAei hijo ah?" (si Mama)
"Yes tita. This is not just an arranged marriage for me. My parents knew they will never force me into something I don't want to be part of. For formality po sana and your daughter deserves a proper courtship and a moment of being asked to be my girl. "
"Pyon!"
I am blushing right now! Ghaaad kala ko sya yung mahihiya today sa harap ng parents ko pero shems ako pa ngayon?
There were ghost of smiles on my parent's lips but my brother's face remained unreadable. I wonder why?
Natapos ang dinner namin ng puro tuksuhan ng parents ko sakin at kay mamaw. Kesyo daw ang sweet namin. Ghad they even brought up the topic of having grandkids na pinatulan naman ni mamaw! Nakakastress!
"Kenneth do you smoke?" (si Kuya)
"George Ian!" (si Mama)
"Ma, come on I'll just light a stick or two. It won't hurt and it's been a while" (si Kuya)
Nilingon na nya si Kenneth at mabilis na tumalim ang titig ko kay mamaw ng tumango sya.
"You smoke?" mapangakusa ko syang nilingon.
"Occasionally lang baby over some serious talks and beers"
Umalis na si kuya sa dining table at nagdiretcho na sa library. Tumayo na si mamaw para sumunod but not before he planted a soft kiss on my head leaving me blushing with my parents.
"So talagang nahuhumaling na nga pala talaga sayo ang panganay ng mga Dientzenhofer hija? Well I'm not surprised. I can see the way his eyes would light whenever he'll see you. More reasons to be at peace for your upcoming wedding" (si Mama)
I can't seem to process the words Mama told me because I was too occupied with the last caress and squeeze he gave to my thighs that everybody doesn't seem to notice before he kissed my head. What was that for?! But ghad what he whispered definitely chilled my nerves.
"Yes baby I smoke and many more things you never dreamed of. I am an evil man and I can't wait to do naughty things to you. Ahh the things I could do to you in my bed right now. See you around engot."
Ken's POV
I locked the door when I entered the room and was just in time to turn the other way around to not meet AeiAei's brother's fist. Yep I know how pissed he was with me.
"Please don't leave any visible evidences on my face. Your sister will squeeze the truth out of my mouth if that happens. You know I can't hide something from her"
"Really Keith?" mapanuya syang ngumiti sa akin. I wonder what I did to be in his bad side? Surely hindi ito tungkol sa kahapon?
"Kenneth kuya. You can call me Kenneth"
"Whatever Kenneth. Tell me. Are you seeing my sister as who she really is?"
Now I am confused.
"Yes what are you talking about?"
He lighted a cigarette and puffed the smoke.
"I heard humors about a girl named April-"
Agad na kumuyom ang kamao ko pati panga ko.
"Don't. Don't mention her name Ian"
He laughed bitterly which angered me more. What does he want?
"Why? Did I rubbed an open wound? My sister deserves everything in this world but you doesn't deserve her. She's too much for you" he spat at me before putting his cigar on the ash tray.
My jaw clenched and I tried to breathe normally. Seriously what is wrong with him?
"Your sister is mine from the start and you damn well know that. I don't give a fuck to what is your problem with me but I'll raise hell and water if you would block my way Emp"
I saw how he froze. Yes eat that George Ian. I know your deepest darkest secrets.
It took him a minute to compose his self.
"So, you already knew me huh? What a surprise. And here I thought my identity is anonymous within the underground premises."
"Do not play fool with me Emperor. You knew me too because we move in the same circle underground. Maybe you are anonymous and your clan but you forgot you are branded just like me. Your tattoo on your back screams you are the leader of SIC, the emperor of the Gang world. I've done my research before meeting you and never in my wildest dream I will face my emperor in underworld as my fiancée's brother on a dinner table."
He laughed. He has the audacity to laugh that boiled my blood. Seriously why is he being like this?
"My bad. Your men is quiet great with their works then. Remind me to be a bit more careful then." He was more like reminding himself than talking to me.
"Stop going in circles Ian. What do you want really?"
He was so fast that he had grabbed my collar but I am faster than him. I rested the cold metal of my pistol on his chin looking at him square in the eyes.
He smirked at me but I gave nothing away.
"You're fast. I didn't expect that move from you" he remove his hands on my collar and I did the same. He sat on the swivel chair and looked at me with a mischievous glint on his eyes.
"If you're done talking I'm going. Your sister is probably waiting for me"
"Make sure of your choices. My sister is never a princess for me for nothing. I can destroy everything to create a new world for her just to make sure no one will harm her. Being with you is like suicide for her and I'm not liking it one bit. "
"Back off. She's just your sister. She's my woman"
"Is she? Haven't seen a ring on her finger"
"Oh trust me she'll be wearing one on December. But I hope you saw the glitter of the diamond ring she's wearing and the gold band on her finger that symbolizes our promised bond since time immemorial."
Aalis na sana ako ng muling magsalita ang kuya ni engot.
"Free yourself from the ghost of your past and I'll serve my sister to you in a silver platter"
I didn't turn around but I smirked evilly.
"You don't tell me what to do with April and what to do with my woman. I don't need you to serve her in a silver platter because you're late already. I can already have her in gold laces and tangled in my bed. It's just a matter of time. Can't wait for those bells that will warn you we are now one. "
I just knew he pulled the trigger right exactly the moment I closed the doors. Thank God he used a silencer or else I will spend my night explaining to engot what was that. I am looking forward for some cuddling by the way.

A beep from my email startled me. Great my investigator is doing his job right. Details of my connecting flights are sent. I can fly direct going there but I can't take risks. I need to be cautious on this one. Just wait for me April. I'm coming for you.
