chapter 9
Sophies P.O.V
how am I supposed to date my soon to be step brother?? is that even legal?? this is going to be awkward.
"Mom thats great" I said jumping up and giving my mother a big hug
"thanks sweetie"
"well what do you think son?" tom asked Nick
"thats great dad I'm glad your happy" Nick replied while standing up and giving his dad one of those man hugs that I never really got.
"Right so Kids what do you have to tell us?" Nicks dad asked
Nick put his arm around my should and began to speack in a proud voice
"well.. how would you react if I told you that me and Soph here are dating?"
"Oh my god sophie why didn't you tell me sooner!! I'm so happy!" mam mother just under shouted and jumped up and gave me a hug while jumping up and down
"you did good son" Nicks dad said giving him another 'man hug'
"comon son the games about to start" Nicks dad said again
"oh I wanna watch" I said about to run after them when my mother caught me by the wrist
"oh no you don't"
"what ? why not?"
"we are going shopping"
"but mum you know I hate shopping"
"honey this isn't a normal shopping trip" my mother said giving my a devilish look "this is a shopping trip for my wedding dress and your bridsmaid dress"
"bridsmaid?" I asked
"no"
"what ? I'm confused"
"maid of honur"
omg I am so excited!!
"ok mabye I can learn to enjoy shopping" I said in my excited voice
"ok then lets go"
We put on our coat and shoes and before we left we went into the sitting room to say goodbye to Nick and Tom
when we entered the room my mother went infront of the tv, which In the back of my head I knew it was a bad Idea because the game was on.
"ahh common get away from the tv we cant see" Tom said
"Fine then considering ye obessialy" my mom started
"dont want you kiss goodbye" I continued
"we will just leave" and my mother finished
we were about to walk back out of the sitting room when It finally snapped into there heads that they were missing out on a kiss
"wait wait wait" they said at the same time while raising from the couchs
"we never said we didn't want our goodbye kiss" Nick said while walking over to me and puttind his hands on my waist whil his fater did the same to my mother.
I gave Nick a peck on the lips and went to turn around to my mother when I saw her having a full on make-out session with Nicks dad
"ok that is just sick" I said to Nick trying to hold back my gag
"ya your right, lets get outta here before I gag"
when myself and Nick got out to the hall where we couldn't see the old people Nick had a suggestion
"I was thinking since our parents get to have there make-out session, who say we can't have ours"
"I like the way you think Nick"
I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. The kiss was long hard and passionate, Nicks soft hands felt great on my waist.
my hand traveled up into Nicks hair to pull him closer to me. I found myself being pressed up against the wall. Nicks hand began to play with the hem of my shirt but he never went further then that which I appreacated. I felt Nicks thounge flick my lower lip begging for enterance which I happily granted. Nicks thouge went on a little adventure in my mouth. When this happened the kiss got more intense. I had just left out a soft moan, when I heard sombody leave out a small interupting cough in the back round.
Nick and I realsed the Kiss and turned our head to see who coughed, as you guessed it was our parents. it had to be the most embarrasing moment of my
life.
We quickley realesed from each others embrace and turned to face our parents.
"Sophie you ready to go ?" my mom asked
"yup" I said
I gave Nick a quick peck on the lips before heading out the door with my mother

Nicks P.O.V
When Sophie and her mom left and the awkward moment was over..... or so I thought.....dad began to talk about sophie
"you know son, you are very lucky to have found a girl like sophie"
"dont I know it"
"I mean it Nick she isn't like those other girls that you bring home, she deservies respect and if you hurt her I will hurt you, got it?"
he got really serious really quicly
"got it dad"
"good now how about that game?"
and with that we headed back to the living room to watch the game.

Susans (sophies mother) P.O.V
When I saw Sophie and Nick kissing in the hall it reminded me of when I was her age and I fell in love with sophies father, but I have moved on from that now
and I am going to marry tom the man I love so there is no need to be thinking about the past.
Which got my thinking, Nick and Sophie are both legal (if you know what I mean) and they are right across the way from each others bedroom, I am going to have to talk to tom about that, I can't have my teenage daughter sleeping with her boyfriend anytime she wants.
"so where should we go first?" I asked sophie.
"amm.. my mother only deservies the best so lets go to bella's"
"but thats where they have all the designer dresses"
"exactly"
When we got there we didn't know where to start. lukaly the sales lady was there to help us.

Sophies P.O.V
My mother tryed on dress after dress after dress and finally we found the perfect one.
it was strapless white dress it hugged her durves and then flowed out elegantly. it wasen't completely white which made it different. it had baby pink floral patteran runn down the dress

When I saw my mother in that dress I could imagine her walking down the aile with her hair and make-up done wearing this dress. I felt my eyes tearing up.
"oh my god mum I am so happy for you" I said giving her a hug making sure that I didn't harm the dress in the process
"so this is the one?" my mom asked
"yup deffinatly you look stunning"
"ok" she said and turned to the sales lady " we will take this one please"
"sure thing I will go wrap it up after you get changed" the sales lady said
we left the store with the dress in a plastic pocket so as it wont get stained.
"ok sweetie where do you want to go to pick out the bridesmaid dresses?"
"am I dont know maybe moderene?"
"ok then lets go"
moderen was one of the most stylish stores around. downstaires was causal clothes and upstairs was dress for everything from prom dresses to evening
dresses to bridesmaid and wedding dresses to cocktail dresses to ball gown dresses to homecoming dresses to casual dresses to modest dresses party dresses and even pregnant dresses.
when we looked around for a bit before we decided what colour we wanted them to be
"I think you should have dresses matching the pink in your dress mum"
"that is not a bad idea, lets go tae a look"
"mom!" I called from on of the rackes where I think I found the perfect dress.
"yes sweetie"
"I think I found it" I showed her the dress
"I think you are right, it is strapless just like my dress it is the same pink as the one in my dress and the bow will go perfect with the floral design"
"eep!" we jumped up and down in excitment
"go try it on sophie"
I ran into the changing roomes with the dress and tryed it on. It was perfect. it reaaches just below my knee so it wasen't sluttly or down to my ankles either, it was just right.

When I walked out my mothers jaw dropped
"honey you look beautiful this is deffinatly the right one !"
"really?" I asked
"yup deffo, lets go get the sales lady to reserve these dresses for us so as we can come back tomorrow and get the rest of my bridsmaids to try them on"
we were driving home when I realised that
1) I didn't know who the other bridesmaids were
and
2) we had the dress with us and Tom was home
"Mom"
"yes love?"
"tom is home"
"ya so?"
"we have the dress with us"
"oh crap"
"crap is right what are we gonna do?"
my mom thought for a bit
"ok here is what we are gonna do" I am going to walk inside first and check to see where he is in the house, if he askes where you are I will tell him you are gone to your friends, you will hide in the car and keep your phone on you, when the coast is clear I will say that I am going to the bathroom and will ring you instead, then you sneak in with the dress and put it in your closet so as tom will deffinatly not find it, got it?"
"got it"
"ok lets do this"
I was waiting in the car for around 10 when my mom called me
"hello" I anwsered
"ok the coast is clear come on in"
I got out of the car with the beautiful dress and ran up the stairs as quick as I could and put the dress into my wardrobe. then walk casually back down stairs
and into the kicthen where every one was eating dinner.
"oh, hey honey you were quick" my mom said trying to act casual which was suprisingly working
"yup but I'm home now yummm smells good whats for dinner?"
"spaggettii"
"yumm"
