CHAPTER TWENTY
WHITNEY'S POV
When I woke up, I expected to be in the cell I was in. Instead, I found myself outside in Blaze's arms. I am so excited to finally be free. I smell the most amazing scent of pine trees and roses. I look around and see a guy getting ready to fight Mr.K. My wolf that has healed is screaming 'MATE'. I hope he doesn't get hurt.
I say "Who is the guy fighting Mr.K?".
Blaze says " That is Alpha Blaine of the Blue Moon Pack. He came to help us get you back. Also, Britney is the best pack fighter and trainer in the world. She is a part of the Blue Moon Pack. Blaine is your mate."
I nod and watch the fight. I hope that Blaine will win the fight because I just met my mate and don't want to lose him. I see Mr.K lung at Blaine, but Blaine dodges the attack and jumps on Mr.K's back. The fight goes on like this until Mr.K is killed. Blaine won!!!!! I run up to him and say
" Please shift back. I want to see what you look like and hear what your voice sounds like."
Blaine shifts back. OMG!!! He looks like a greek god. He has black hair and the most beautiful blue eyes. I swear I am drooling right now. All around people from the two packs are killing of the rouges since the rouge Alpha just died in the challenge. I say
" Thank You for saving me" and give him a hug. He just laughs and says
" Your welcome cupcake".
Then he says " I have something to tell you. I guess it would be okay if you decide to reject me because of it."
I look into his eyes and see pure sadness and worry. He thinks I will reject him. I say
" I promise that I will not reject you. Just tell me what is bothering you."
He nods and says " Before I found out you were my mate, I dated your sister. We just broke up when I found out you were my mate in the cell".
I say " Yes that makes me kinda sad, but that is the past. I have to thank you for helping Britney though. She was really broken when he rejected her. Thank you".
Blaine says " Your welcome cupcake. I was so worried that you would reject me for dating your sister. You are the best mate ever. You are understanding and beautiful. You are the best ever."
I say " Thank you. Why do you call me cupcake?".
He says " You smell like cupcakes, so I call you cupcake. Now lets go to the pack house and go see your family."
He then picks me up and carries me bridal style all the way to the pack house where all my family is waiting. After Blaine sets me down, I run over to Britney and give her a huge hug. I say
" I have missed you so much sis. Promise me that if you EVER have to run of, you tell me where you are going."
She nods and says " I love you sis. Now come and meet my new friend Logan",
A girl comes and stands next to her. I am guessing that she is Logan. I say "Hi Logan".
She nods and says" I have got to go".
Then, she walks of into the pack house. After about a thirty minutes Britney excuses herself to go check on Logan. I spend the rest of the night catching up with my parents and getting to know Blaine more.
BRITNEY'S POV
I saw Logan leave and thirty minutes later, she still hasn't come back. I decide to go see if she is okay. I hear the water running in the bathroom, so I walk into her room. After about five minutes of sitting on her bed, I hear her crying. My wolf is upset. After five more minutes, I smell the metallic smell of blood. I decided that I have waited long enough.
When I burst into the bathroom the smell of blood is even stronger. I look around and find Logan sitting in the corner next to the bath tub. The bath tub is full of blood and water. I see Logan dip something that looks like a blade into the water. Every time she dips the blade looking thing in the tub more blood fills up the tub.
I watch as she glides the blade across her upper arm. Then, I realize that she is cutting herself. I run up to her with wolf speed and immediately take the blade away from her. I say
"What is your problem? Are you trying to get yourself killed? What about your mate? Do you even care? ".
I take out my phone and find a song that will explain the consequences of cutting. I think this song is really sad. Hopefully, this will hit home and give her some sense. Nobody knows this except for my family, but my cousin was 15 when she started to cut. Werewolf or not she hit a vein and bled out before anyone could help her. I say
" Listen to this song now!!!"
She's only seventeen, her whole life ahead of her
She hates school because the people are discredit her
Her boyfriend tries to show her that's not how it seems
But everyday she just gets lowered with her self esteem
He lets her know that every night will ahve a brighter day
She even tried to overdose and take her life away
She's feeling hopeless there, just sitting down beside her bed
And then he takes his hand and places it besides her head
He tries to hold her but with every touch she still resists
And then he sees the scars bury deep within her wrists
She's feeling numb, he tries to beg and plead and ask her why
She says this way she has control the pain she feels inside
He asking her "How long it's going since you felt this way
because you got me here feeling so damn helpless"
She says " It's been a while, I guess I needed better luck"
And then he screams at her and tells her: "Baby never cut"
Nobody seems to get you, you feel you're on your own

The next day at school she's feeling better than the day before
Even crack a couple smiles as she walked to the corridor
But it all seemed to end, she dropped her books when she walked into class
And every student in the room just seemed to point and laugh
She couldn't take it anymore, she sent her boy a text
She said "I love you with my body, heart, and soul to death"
He thought nothing , typed "I love you" then he sent it
By death he didn't know she had literally just meant it
She ducked her next class, ran home into her bathroom
Thought to herself she wouldn't break a promise that soon
One cut, two cuts, three cuts, four.....
The blood just started dripping from the tub to the floor
Her boyfriend had a feeling in his stomache that he hated
He followed it, ran down to her house, he never waited
The front door was open, he heard the water running
He stormed into the bathroom and his heart just started gunning

He put her arm around his shoulder, he's just trying to lean her back up
Yelling out her name as he lays her beside the bathtub
He feels his whole world just took a hit from an avalanche
He's screaming out so heavily " Somebody call an ambulance"
Feeling mad, angry like somebody let her on to this
Her eyeballs are rolling, drifting out of consciousness
Thinking to himself "Why the hell didn't she just stop at will"
The tears just keep on rolling as they head her to the hospital
Paramedics rush her in, doctor calls emergency
She lossed a lot of blood, the place looks like a murder scene
An hour later, the doc walks over with a sour face
And says " Excuse me for the words that I'm about to say"
"I'm sorry for your loss". The boy just starts collasping
His own world, his own girl, just took a crashing
Saying to himself that it's his fault and that he led it up
"Baby, I thought you made a promise you would never cut"

I say " Now that you heard the song is that how you want to end up and making your mate feel?"
She shakes her head 'NO'. I say
" Now tell me why you cut".
Then she starts her story.
