Avi's POV
" Dude, I'm standing outside your flat. Open the door!"
I sent a text message to Bunny, after knocking the door for the past 10 minutes.
The door opened, and Bunny silently welcomed me to his home with a smile plastered on his face.
As i entered, the flat was filled with mess and smelled like a chimney, I turned back towards Bunny.
And realized that he had lost immense weight, his face etched with tiredness and the eyes spoke of his saddness that he was drowned in.
" Finally, I get to meet you! It's been so long since we talked.." I said, trying to start a conversation
" Yeah, it's been quite long. Kaise ho?( How are you)" Bunny uttered as he went to into the kitchen " There is only coke, you okay with it?"
I chuckled and replied " Yeap.. sure" while i walked over to the kitchen and sat on a chair
" I just met Aditi a while ago, and I have to say this but she became slightly chubby yaar..Chomu ki Moti". I said,trying to uplift the mood.
Bunny chuckled slightly as he sat beside me, passing over the coke can. " So what brings you here?"
" Bas aise hai" I replied, taking a sip of the coke
" Sach batao ( Tell me the truth)" Bunny smirked
" Arey.. What is wrong with you both. I can't come over to meet you guys?" I said with my eyebrows furrowed amd arms crossed over
Bunny forced a soft smile on his face " Madhubala drama, bandh karo and tell me"
I grinned at him, thinking of how much i missed him and our conversations
" Well,I'm getting married in a few weeks.." I said, placing the invitation card on the table
Bunny choked while drinking coke, glaring at me " You serious??"
" Haan yaar.. Seems like the time has come for me as well" I replied, chuckling
Bunny quickly stood up and hugged me, slapping my back. "Congratulations!"
The overpowering tobacco smell on him caught my attention, " Bunny... Have you been smoking?" i asked, pulling myself back
Bunny ran his fingers through his hair and nodded his head as he sat back on the chair
" I'm okay, don't worry"
My eyebrows scrunched " you are okay? Bunny, you look like hell! and look at your house, it's just fucked up"
Bunny smiled sarcastically and looked up to me " Yeah..my life is fucked up"
I glared at Bunny for a few seconds and took out a deep breath, calming myself down as i sat beside him.
Both of us remained silent for a few minutes, staring at the blank wall.
" I wasn't there when dad passed away, I wasn't there when you needed help, I wasn't there when Naina needed me and my baby passed away just because of me" Bunny spoked, breaking the silence
" You were right Avi, I was always drowned in the thoughts of fulfilling my dreams that i forgot to care about my loved ones needs and desires. I'm just a selfish idiot!" he said as anguish tears leaked from his eyes, as he closed his face in shame
Tears trickled down from my eyes, watching Bunny breaking down infront of me. I hugged him tightly in silence
" Bunny, stop blaming yourself for situations that wasn't in your control and did you get to meet Naina?"
Bunny shook his head " I wasn't able to face her anymore and i think she deserve a guy like Vikram who would be there for her. "
" Shut up yaar Bunny! Vikram is an total idiot and Naina won't suit him. She is meant for you and only you" I empathazied, poking my finger in his chest
Bunny remained silent, pressing his lips making it a thin line as he stared straight ahead.
He cleared his throat " I'm leaving.."
" what? Where??" I asked, my forehead creased
" Austrailia, Tomorrow morning" He replied in a low voice
" Okay...so when you coming back?"
Bunny looked down and mummbled " I don't think of coming back"
" Are you mad?? What about Naina? you are just going to give up on her that easily?" I shouted in anger with my eyes opened widely
" She doesn't need me anymore Avi, I want her to be happy with someone who understands her. With me.. She might suffer in silence again"
" But Bunny ---" As i was about to say something, Bunny cut me off
" Let's end this converation Avi. It's done" Bunny said in a sharp tone, glaring at me
I sighed, nodded my head in defeat and walked off from his house.

" Naina ooh Nainaaa, Open the door!" I exclaimed, standing outside her house
The door opened and my smile faltered, as i saw a old women with a face mask, staring at me with her eyes wide open.
" Kaun hai tu (Who are you)??" She asked in a loud stern voice
I stood there in confused state and replied " I'm Naina's friend, Avinash.."
" Haan tuh hai Avinash! Mera Naina ko uss trip mein kidnap karthiya( who kidnapped my Naina to the trip)" She said staring at me while openeing the gate for me to enter the house
" No Aunty, mein..kidnap.. wasn't.. me" I stammered as i tried to defend myself, entering the house
" Aunty, Naina kahan hai? (Where is Naina)" as my eyes wander around the whole place
Naina's mom looked at me for a moment " Naina went for work, she would be on her way back right now."
I nodded my head lightly and smiled but she stood there, giving me weird looks.
" And tum ko job nai hai kya (don't you have any job?" She said, walking into the kitchen
" I'm on leave today, Aunty"
" what do you want to drink?" She asked from the kitchen
" Daar... I mean Chai peelongi (i will drink chai)"
" Chai??? Seriously Avi?" Naina exclaimed with her eyebrows knotted, standing near the entrance of the house
I whirled around to face her and smiled broadly as i took a glance at Naina.
"Ho Ho Ho Naina.. I'm here to share with you a very big news!"
Naina squinted her eyes and said " Are you getting married??"
" Yes!" I said, proudly
" Oh My god!I knew it! When's the wedding day??" She squealed in excitement
" In a few weeks time" I said as i gave her the invitation card
" That's great! Seems like someone just can't wait to get married" Naina wiggled her eyebrows
I laughed out in embrassment and scracthed my head
" Besides, i'm getting late. I need to get some items for the wedding so will meet you later" I said as i glaced at my watch
" By the way Naina, Bunny is leaving Australia tomorrow morning" I said in a low voice, gazing at her
Her smile slowly faded as she lowered her eyes and remained silent.
" Naina, I'm not saying that what he did was right but don't you think he deserves another chance? He regrets for what he did and blaming himself for everything.."
Naina sighed and gazed at me for a moment without replying
" He loves you Naina and, there is no use running away from problems and not facing it" I said before leaving her house.
Hoping that somehow Naina would understand that if Bunny leaves, there is no way that he would be back again in our life...
