And so a few months passed with nothing interesting happening. Li Meirong got arrested for helping with the kidnapping of the Princess and Mo Yifeng learned his lesson.
"Get off!" Piper said in a low tone as she stared at the man in front of her. He was currently doing the kabedon* on her again.
"I am mad," Mo Fan said as he stared into her purple eyes.
"Because I brought up the divorce again?" Piper asked as she looked at the childish man. She never changed her mind about getting divorced so that's why she had asked him when they could divorce but he immediately slammed her into the wall.
"Yes," Mo Fan nodded. He hated her talking about them separating. He could never leave her.
"I'm sorry, please get off," Piper said as she tried to push him away
"If you hold my hand," Mo Fan said in a sly voice. His wife had to pay the price for angering him
"Tch, old fox where did you learn all these tactics?" Piper took a hold of his hand and then he let her out. Ever since the day she got saved from the kidnapping, he had gotten more and more shameless. As long as she wanted something it was always "If you hold my hand".
"Nowhere," Mo Fan said as he kissed her hand. He liked to see his wife's reactions whenever he did all these things to her
"Yeah yeah" Piper clicked her tongue and went to the bench on the courtyard to sit down.
"Master, there is an emergency" Hou suddenly appeared in front of them with an ashen face
"En" Mo Fan's mouth twitched in annoyance. He had finally gotten some alone time with his wife, now he had to go, "Bye Bye, little wife"
Mo Fan patted her head and then disappeared.
"Bye," Piper said as she leaned back.
Hey, PINK. Did I fail the mission? I mean, she's in prison. I can't embarrass her any more
[Yes, you failed. But your main mission is going well. It's already up to 70%

Piper had indeed framed Li Meirong. Li Meirong was a part of the kidnapping but not all of it. She had merely told Qi Yi to kidnap Piper and that was it, but she was arrested for torturing the princess and attempted murder. This was the work of Piper.
She told the investigators that the torturer had a female voice and that she had once tried to stab her. This was all a lie but they believed it anyway. Why did she do it though? Because she could.
What emergency was Hou talking about though?
[Uh, it's something about Mo Fan getting arrested for murder?]
What?! Whaaaaaat?
Piper stood up and ran into Mo Fan's study room. Why did he suddenly get arrested? What did he do? She doesn't understand anything.
Piper opened the door to the study room but he was not in the room. Piper walked in and searched around but she couldn't find anything so she sat down for a while.
"Where is he?"
[In prison]
"What the hell? Why did they arrest him so suddenly? He must be framed! He couldn't kill someone! Well, maybe but hasn't he only killed bandits? Is he arrested for that?" Piper shouted a little as her fists clenched. How dare they arrest her husband?! Sure, she did not love him, but since he is her husband, he is hers. No one takes her belongings. (...)
[I'll search it up...
Apparently, he is guilty of killing his royal siblings and one of the Emperor's consort]
"..." Suddenly Piper found it sounding extremely believable and she stopped saying anything for a few seconds, "Who cares if he killed them?! He is still mine!"
"Host, you truly baffle me. I thought you disliked him. Why are you like this?"
"Pink stop doing what you are doing. I don't like him. He is just my belonging. What if you had a very ugly toy that you disliked a lot, but it's still yours. Then one day a kid comes and takes it away from you. Wouldn't you be mad because the ugly, rotting and disgusting toy is still yours even if it is ugly, rotting and disgusting. Then someone comes and just takes it"
[Since it is so ugly and disgusting I probably would be thankful for that kid for taking it]
"PINK you don't understand. Don't speak to me." Piper's mouth twitched as she cursed PINK in her heart.
Piper stood up and went to the prison. She must see her husband and make sure if he truly is a criminal or just innocent.

Mo Fan sat on the hay with his usual empty expression. He was just staring at the bars with coldness radiating from his body.
"Pfft, apparently that's the 4th prince. I heard he killed his siblings. How wicked." One of the prisoners said.
Mo Fan only gave him a small glance before looking at the cell bars again. He is wicked. He knows.
He's a heartless demon. A monster.
Mo Fan sighed and leaned back. If Piper saw this she would be shocked because Mo Fan either had a killer glare or he was a shameless fox. He never sighed or showed any emotions.
Suddenly he found himself thinking of the old memories he had buried deep within.
-Mo Fan memories-
"Mother, what are you doing?" The tiny little child called Mo Fan stared at his mother in confusion and fear.
"Xiao Fan, go out and play with your toys. Mommy is just going somewhere for a while, I'll be right back" Mo Fan's mom said to her son in a happy tone, but her face didn't show as much happiness as her voice.
"Mother, I don't want to leave you here. Mother, I want to stay with you." Mo Fan said with teary eyes. He didn't like the look in his mother's eyes. It was like she was going to disappear at any moment.
"Xiao Fan, mommy wants to be alone." She said as she patted her sons head with love, "Mommy is going to be fine"
"Mother I don't believe you. Mother always avoid eye contact when you are lying. Xiao Fan knows. Xiao Fan isn't stupid" Mo Fan said as he grabbed his mother's wrist so that she wouldn't leave him.
"Xiao Fan, please! Please leave mommy alone!" His mothers said in a voice full of sorrow. Mo Fan couldn't say anything and only stared back.
"I will leave then, mother. But promise me you will be okay" Mo Fan stuck out his pinky waiting for his mother to make a promise
"En, mommy promises" She took out her hand and locked their pinkies together. Mo Fan smiled happily and ran out of his mother's room. He sat outside the door, waiting until his mother called him in again, but even when an hour passed, she didn't call him. Mo Fan stared at the ground in sadness as tears filled his eyes. Did his mother lie? What is she doing in there? Did she forget him?
Mo Fan looked at the door and decided to walk in. As he opened the door, he found a sight he would never ever forget. His mother who always smiled at him and patted his head when everyone else just scoffed at him. His mother who always ignored the insults around her and protected him all the time. His mother whom he loved so dearly was now hanging lifeless with her bare feet dangling back and forth.
Mo Fan felt his heart stop as he saw his mom hanging from a piece of white silk stuck to the roof. Mo Fan knew what he was seeing. His mother had hung herself.
He stared as he felt tears stream down his cheeks like a waterfall. He didn't make a sound because it felt like he had a big lump stuck in his throat preventing him from screaming and sobbing even though he wanted to. He felt anger and sadness. He was angry at his mom for breaking her promise, but he wasn't as angry as he was sad. The only person he had passed away.
His mother was just a maid who had spent a night with the Emperor accidentally and then gotten pregnant. The Emperor had therefore given her a concubine status, but she was not happy. The concubines were jealous at for having spent a night with the Emperor and the consorts were jealous of her for being pregnant. Every day she had to live her life like she was in hell. Framed, mocked, beaten, scorned etc. Even though she was so hated, she still gave birth with no problem. There were times when people had tried to make her miscarriage, but she luckily still kept her baby.
When Mo Fan was born, it was only him and his mom. His mom had no maids so she, therefore, gave birth herself. His father also never sent help even though he knew she was giving birth. He then grew up a life not fit for a child. His father never visited, he never had friends and his sibling hated him, but he was okay because he had his mother who always loved him no matter what. She was his everything.
But now she was gone. Dead.
Mo Fan clenched his teeth and fists. He knew his mother didn't kill herself over nothing. Someone killed her. Someone had threatened her, otherwise, she wouldn't leave him alone. Mo Fan stared at his mother but this time there were no tears, only infinite coldness. He took her down and buried her behind the waterfall in the place that his mother loved the most. He remembered that his mother had told him that she wanted to be buried here and that she had even prepared a coffin for herself. (...)
"Bye Bye, mother" Mo Fan closed the coffin and went outside again.
When he got back to hid and his mother's desolate courtyard, he went back to the room. Once he was there he sat on the bed.
"Mother, this son will avenge you at all cost! Even if it costs me my life, my sanity and my happiness" Mo Fan clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. Suddenly something white caught his eye.
He looked at it and found out it was a note left by his mother.
He picked it up and read it carefully.
"Xiao Fan, don't cry. Mommy's on your side, always. Mommy loves Xiao Fan the most. So don't cry. Mommy wants to see you smile."
Mo Fan clenched the note and cried silently again. He tried not to cry like his mother told him to but he couldn't stop himself.
He looked up at the roof and his eyes went cold and dark. Without his mother, he can never be happy. So he might as well just abandon it all. It's meaningless without her, anyway.

"I heard that Zhao YueYue hung herself," One lady said while sipping her tea elegantly.
"Pffahaha, what a useless woman. She even left her son alone. Gahaha serves her right" Another lady laughed while chewing her cake, making crumbs fly everywhere.
"Finally that dirty peasant is gone." A lady said with a smirk. Like every other lady here, she hated Zhao YueYue.
"Hmph! I merely threatened her a little and yet she killed herself? How lame, haha!" A woman with a yellow dress said with her arms crossed.
"It was you?" One of them asked
"Yeah, I just said that when I become the Empress I would exile her son, hahaha! So she begged me with snot all over her face. She even licked my shoes, haha! In the end, she said she would disappear from my sight if I let her son go. I didn't expect her to actually kill herself, haahhahaahaha!" The yellow dressed lady laughed so much that she almost stopped breathing.
"HAHAAHA!"
All the women laughed out loud as they celebrated over the fact that Zhao YueYue was gone.
Little did they know that a pair of extremely dark eyes were watching them with boundless hatred.
"Qi Liang, don't expect to live happily after what you did to my mother"

Hello, my dearest readers!! I have been gone for a while now haven't I? I deeply apologize for that *Bows deeply*
I came home 11 days ago, yet I never updated until now. Sorry. I was just quite tired and not in the mood. I also wanted to enjoy the summer vacation. Hope you guys are having a nice summer BTW.
