Jo P.O.V.
I slowly walked into Hayes room to see him sleep, with his mouth open. I giggled silently, shaking my head.
I had a cupcake in my hand with a candle on top. "Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to my best friend! Happy birthday to you!!" I yelled, seeing his eyes opening and he looked at me. I started smiling, with my teeth showing.
"Happy birthday" He started smiling, sitting up, rubbing his eye. "Thanks Jo" He smiled. "Now blow out your candle for your wish!"
He shook his head smiling. He got the cupcake from me and blew it out. "Yay!!" I clapped my hands and he bit into the cupcake.
"So what are you going to do for your birthday since your 18 now?" I asked, sitting on the edge of his bed. "I don't know" He shrugged. "Maybe throw a party"
I nodded, "that's good" I ran my fingers in my hair, sighing. I felt Hayes staring at me so I turned towards him to see that I was right.
"Hayes?" I asked, furrowing my eye brows. "Huh? Oh I'm sorry!" He started turning red, scratching the back of his neck.
Was he embarrassed that I saw him stare at me? What in the world is going on with him?
"Your okay Hayes" I smiled at him, standing up. "Come on. You've got to get ready for the dayyyy!!!" I said, grabbing his Hand.
He groaned, throwing his head back. "I don't won't toooooo!!!" He whined, pulling back. "Come on!!" I grabbed his hand more but he pulled me back and when he did, he pulled me into him making me fall on top of him.
But when I was on top of him, our faces were close. My breath hitched in my throat. It was like our breaths were molding into each other's.
I've never felt this way towards no one. It felt different. Toooo different
We heard people laughing and we got out of the trance. I got off of him while he stood up, with boxers on.
I chuckled nervously, scratching the back of my neck. "I'm just going to go downstairs" I smiled, walking out the door, shutting it. I sighed of relief, feeling relieved.
"You okay?" I heard a voice say and I jumped a little to see Nate, concerned about me. "Hmm? Oh yeah I'm okay. Why wouldn't I be okay? I'm fine see!" I started rambling, feeling stupid.
"Oookay.... Something happened in there?" He pointed towards Hayes room. I shook my head no. "No I just wished him happy birthday"
He nodded, "okay do you want to join me and the guys for breakfast?"
"Sure" I smiled. He smiled, walking in front of me while I went behind him.
I sat down in between Nate and Swazz. Tez was sitting across from Nate and Kyle was sitting on Tez's right.
Why do I feel different now? I don't see Hayes that way. Maybe I do....
"Happy Birthday!!! Birthday Boy!!" The guys screamed, throwing confetti all over Hayes. He started chuckling, smiling.
Aww he's adorable when he smiles.
Wait What? What is going on with me?
"Here we got you present!" Swazz got up and got a nice breakfast plate from the island. I've got to say they did good.
He sat it down next to Tez and Hayes smiled. "Y'all shouldn't have" He sat down, looking at his friends.
"Oh we didn't. We didn't know how to make it so we went to Denny's" Nate said causing me to giggle.
"What is up with you guys and not cooking?" I asked, looking at Nate. He just shrugged, "I don't know we just don't cause We'll Burn up the food"
I giggled at Nate. "Wow.."
"So Hayes were you going to do today?" Swazz asked him. "Probably Throw a party tonight"
"That's it?" Tez spoke up. "that's all you want to do? Go have fun today bro! Take Jo with you"
Hayes looked at me and I looked at him. We were staring into each other's eyes like we were hiding something. Hayes nervous chuckled, scratching his head. "I'm pretty sure she's going out with Kalvin today"
I adverted my eyes from him, and starting looking down. I think I was Blushing because we stared at each other.... This feeling is Different.
"Can he come with us if I do go with you?" I asked, "I mean aren't you going to take Gracie with you?"
He looked unsure about what I just said. Was he not liking his girlfriend anymore. Is it because he's was liking me? My bestfriend? Oh my god! Maybe it is.
"Yeah maybe I will invite her. You know a double date. Me, you, her and Kalvin"
The boys started oohing like it was a big deal. "Okay. I'm down" I smiled.
We said grace and started eating. The guys were talking amongst theirselves and I was on my phone and eating. I started texting Lessie about what the situation was going with us.
Best friend #✌️- Seems like to me you two like each other.
Me- What? Less, Me and Hayes liking each other? What!
Best friend #✌️- Jo like👏 I👏 Said👏 You two LIKE each other. You know the whole kissing, making out, loving, holding each other hands, fucking, fucking, and more fucking type shit.
Me- 🙄🙄🙄
Best friend #✌️- don't roll them eyes cause you know I'm right.
"Jo" I heard my name being called. "huh?" I looked around, to see Hayes looking at me. "Are you ready to go? I have to go get Gracie"
I nodded my head. "Yeah sure let me change"
"Good, I'm glad your changing. You don't need to go out looking like that. I wouldn't won't to have to kill someone" Nate said causing all of us to laugh.
"I would get to them before they would even get to touch her" Hayes spoke up, causing us to laugh again. Aww he's so cute to defend me.
"Alright. I'll be back!" I stood up, putting my plate in the sink followed by my orange juice. I picked up my phone and headed up the stairs.

I was in the mirror, looking at my face.
Look at my face. It looks bad. So bad. Why would any guy would won't to go out with me? I'm still a tomboy. I wrestle, I play like a boy, I fight like a boy and I'm not even that "experience" with girl clothes.
Oh and what I'm also not experienced is that I never had sex so I was still a Virgin. I mean I like to save myself for the right guy.
I heard a Knock on the bathroom door "Knock, knock" I seen Hayes in his supreme shirt, jeans, and Jordans. "Oh I'm sorry, I'll hurry up"
"No your okay Jo" He chuckled, leaning on the door. "What are you doing?"
I sigh, turning towards him. "Why would any guy go out with me? I'm basically a Tomboy" I said and Hayes furrowed his eyebrows.
"Jo your not a tomboy." He said which I smiled. "Your a pretty Tomboy" I dropped my mouth and hit him while he laughed. "You are not my best friend anymore"
"Look I'm sorry" He said, which I rolled my eyes. "Okay. Apology accepted"
"Apology hug?" He suggested and I smiled. He opened his arms and I went in for the hug. When we hugged, that even felt different.
I didn't know what this meant, but this feeling..... I kinda liked it.
Hayes P.O.V.
"What are you doing? I thought you and Jo lefted?" Nash asked me, while I was in the living room, watching TV. Waiting for Jo.
"Jo wanted to change" I said, watching TV. "Wassup Nash" Nate gave dap to Nash. Nate sat down and started putting his weed out. I started drinking my soda.
"So are you and Jo fucking or something?" Nate asked causing me to choke on my soda and it went in the wrong Pipe. I started coughing while Nash had hit me in the back.
"I'm good" I coughed out and finished, when Nash stopped. "Nate, we don't see each other like that" I said. Nate and Nash looked at each other and laughed.
"What?" I asked getting mad. Their laughs started fading with them ending it with a sigh. "Answer the question Hayes. I've got a feeling it's a yes" Nash said and I rolled my eyes.
"I never seen her in that way" I said, looking over at Nash.
"Really?" He gave me that 'Really' look, while Nate was doing the same.
"Yes"
"Why Hayes?" He questioned me.
"Cause she's a Tomboy" I answered. Which Nash scoffed, shaking his head. "You didn't see her as a tomboy when she twerk and you watched, getting a boner"
Nate laughed his ass off about what Nash just said. I rolled my eyes, feeling my phone buzz. "Shut up!"

I started smiling, replying back
Me- Thank you baby and I'm sure I'll love it, but is it okay if we do a double Date? Jo and Kalvin are coming.
I was about to click out of my messages when I saw that she read it and the Bubbles started forming at the screen.
Baby Grace💖❤️- Are you sure? It's your birthday. I know you just want me and you to celebrate today right?
I frowned and replied back.
Me- Jo's my bestfriend, I'll never forgive myself if Jo is home alone not doing nothing and bored out her mind.

Why is everyone keep saying this. Me and Jo don't like each other.... But hell, Nash made a point last night. He was right.
"I'm ready!" I heard Jo say coming into the living room. I noticed how pretty her face was. Her skin just made me drawn to her.
She had on glasses, a choker, a shirt, some pants and her Jordans on. Nate and Nash were talking to her but all I seen was that she was laughing and talking.
My heart started beating then it skipped a beat.
"Hayes" She said, causing me to come back to reality. "Yeah?"
She smiled. "I said I'm ready when you are" I stood up, "Oh well I'm ready" I got my keys from the dish bowl. "Have fun and not to much to bring a baby back home!" Nash said, while I shut the door when Jo came from the door. Jo giggled, shaking her head.
"Nash is too much" She said while I chuckled. "He's a dumbass is what that is"
She laughed, I walked towards the passenger side, unlocking the car and opening it for her. She stopped and folded her arms. "What are you doing Hayes?"
"I'm being a gentleman" I smiled, causing her to squint her eyes. "Hayes? Why are you really doing this?"
Cause I like you Jo and I don't know how to express my feelings towards you. I want us to be together but we're bestfriends. You have a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend.
I chuckled, "I'm just being a Gentleman" I smiled, trying to hide the fact that I just expressed myself in my thoughts. She shakes her head and get inside of my car. I shut the door and walk to the driver side, getting in and shutting my door putting the key in the ignition.
I cranked it up, hearing the engine come on. I put the gear shift in drive and started driving but slow down on the end of the drive way. "Nothing's coming" Jo spoke and I drove on the highway.
Nothing was said, but we both reached for the radio and our hands touched. I felt nothing but sparks. As cliché as it seems, it felt so different.
We both pulled away, being awkward. I glanced at her seeing she was scratching her arm, looking at me. "D-Did you feel that?" She asked, I shook my head no quickly. "No I didn't feel anything"
"Can I turn on the.... Radio" she asks as I nodded. She turned on the radio, hearing Drake nice for what.
"I've been so in love with this song when I heard it" She says, causing me to glance to see that she was smiling.
God, look at her smile.
I turned in into Gracie's house, parking in the driveway. "I'm going to go ahead in the back" Jo said, "Wait" I grabbed her hand and we looked at each other again in that way.
Her brown eyes looking into my blue eyes. "Hayes?" She asked, looking at me. "What is going on with us?"
I was about to talk when my phone started ringing. I let go of her hand and reached for my phone in my pocket. It was Gracie.
I answered it.
"Baby are you here?"
"Yeah, I'm in the driveway"
"Okay I'm coming out"
She hangs up, making me slide my phone in my pocket and when I was about to talk to Jo, she was already in the back. I just decided to go against it, and not talk to her right now.
Gracie came in smiling, and pecked me on the lips. "Happy birthday!" She smiled, "This is from my parents, since they love you so much" She smiled, giving me a long box. "Uh thanks baby, what is it?"
"Open it!" She beamed, I opened the box only to see that her mom and dad got me a necklace with my name on it, and money.
Like 300 hundred dollars. I wide eyed, looking at Gracie. "Gracie, that's nice of your parents but they don't have to give me the mon-"
"Nonsense" she waved off, "take it"
I arched my eyebrow and just put the money in the side of the door and gave the box to Gracie. She puts it on the floor, then looked in the back seat, seeing Jo. "Hey Jo!" She smiled, as Jo smiled back.
I knew Jo so much I knew it was fake. "Hey Gracie"
I started driving my car to Kalvin's and he was waiting outside. We all were in the car, going to the movies.
Kalvin and Jo were flirting and I didn't like it one bit. I knew I with Gracie, I just didn't like for another guy to be around Jo.
"Stop Kal" I heard her giggle. SHE GIGGLED!!
I clenched my jaw, waiting for us to get out of the car.
When I parked, we all got out and I locked the door. We went in and we went in to go watch a scary movie, which was Annabelle creations.
I knew Jo was scared because for one she doesn't like scary movies, especially the one with the dolls. I remember we watched Chucky when we were young and she screamed the whole way through the movie.
We got the tickets and Jo was the first to talk. "Hayes are you sure you want to watch this?" She asked me, while we were about to sit down with our snacks and popcorn.
"Jo you will be okay, it's a fake movie. It's not real" I said but she was still scared. We sat down with Gracie on the right of me and Jo on the left of me and Kalvin on Jo's left. Me and Jo were sitting beside each other which wasn't cliché at all we were just being best friends at the moment.
Everyone was screaming and hollering and screaming. I had to admit I was a little scared, cause of the pop-ups between the movie.
Another pop up came and Jo screamed, grabbing onto my hand. Gracie had herself into my arm. Even though it felt nice that Gracie had hold on to me, Jo's hand felt better and I love the way it just felt. The feeling of her hand made me feel different and I love the feeling.
After the movie ended, I just decided to go home and hangout with them home. We all got out of the car, I notice Jo hanging onto Kalvin. He chuckled, as I rolled my eyes. Then I also noticed that the house lights were out. Weird.
Usually the boys have the lights on and everything. I shrugged my shoulders and unlock the door with my key, and as soon as we walked in, the lights came on.
"SURPRISE!!!" everyone yelled, and my heart dropped. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYES!!"
The music started and I was shocked, they dragged me in the living room, making me feel happy. I thought they weren't going to do anything for my birthday.
"You should thank us" Swazz
Said. "I've should have know you guys would had did something" I said causing him to laugh. "But it was actually Jo's idea to surprise you" I turned around towards Jo and she was smiling. "So you planned the whole thing?"
"I really didn't but I did" She smiled. "Oh I love you so much" I chuckled, giving her a hug.
I really did mean I loved her... Not as a Bestfriend, but someone I could see my whole life with.
