Crowley
*Mika's POV*
Yuu.
That was the only thought in my mind when my eyes landed on him.
"You know, Mikaela," He started. "When Krul gave up the throne, it wasn't because she thought you'd be a rightful ruler. She didn't know what else to do."
"My father was the King. Not yours." I keep my voice as even as I can. Crowley was never one to negotiate, so I decided to keep this short.
"Oh, but my father would've been King if your grandfather hadn't killed him!" I cross my arms, my cape flowing behind him.
"I'm glad he did, because I loooove being King." Wow. Yuu's sassiness really did rub off on me.
"IT'S NOT FAIR!" He shouted, springing towards me. I dodge out of the way, and whip out my sword. The blood drizzles from my arm as I feed the monster who gives me his power. I charge towards him, knocking him over and piercing him in the heart. He just smiles at my, twisted.
"What?" I demand.
"I will never call you King."
"You don't have to. I have plenty of vampires here in the realm that respect me."
"Yes, of course." I try to understand what he's hinting at, and then I see it.
Yuu.
No.

*Yuu's POV*
When the lady in the weird white cloak told me I was stabbed, I thought I was dead and talking to Virgin Mary or something.
But I was alive. Sort of.
"I was able to put a remedy in your wound to make it heal faster. You'll need to be in watch for a few days." I blink at her.
"Why don't I feel any pain?"
"Your legal guardian is here. He has ordered an extra numbing cream for you." My cheeks flushed.
"Mika?"
"The King." She huffs before leaving.
Soon, a mop of blonde hair comes rushing in. I don't even get a chance to say hi before Mika pulls a chair up and immediately takes my hand.
"Yuu, I'm so sorry!" He wails. I blink at him, confused.
"Sorry for what?" I squeeze his hand.
"I-I didn't mean to."
"Mean to do what?"
"Stab you."

*third person*
Crowley paced back and forth as Chess and Horn waited patiently for him to devise a plan.
"What now, you're majesty?" Crowley looked thoughtful for a moment.
"The only way to gain my throne is to bring the King down and spread the truth of our history.
"How do we do that, sir?" Horn asked.
"Well, I know a friend."
"Is it Ferid, my King?" Chess asked, bouncing in her spot.
"My smart little girls."
They squealed.

*Yuu's POV*
"You WHAT?" Mika looks away guiltily.
"I was trying to stab my arch nemesis while you were paced out, but he made himself translucent and I ended up stabbing you instead. I'll never forgive myself!" He sobs. I sigh.
"Mika, I'm alive. Being stabbed is the least of my worries right now." Mika sniffles.
"So you're not mad?"
"I'm hella mad." Mika frowns. "But it's fine." Finally, he relaxes.
"How do you feel?" He questions, concern on his face.
"Perfectly fine." He relaxes some more.
"Oh, good."
"Who is your arch nemesis by the way?" I ask, curiosity taking over inside of me. Mika's jaw tightens and he clenches his fists.
"Crowley."
I have no idea who he is talking about.
"You wouldn't know him." He quickly adds. I think for a moment.
"Why don't you get along?" Mika sighs, as if a long back story is coming long.
"Well, his family line is actually royalty as well. But my grandfather killed his father so that he could take the throne. Crowley is related to my grandfather. His dad and my grandfather were brothers, which is why Crowley is much older than me. But as you can tell, vampires don't age." He sighs.
"Go on." I urge, too engrossed in the back story. Wow. This is a first.
"Okay...well, after my grandfather murdered his father, he became King and my grandmother became Queen. They had my mother, Krul. My mother eventually married my father. But, Crowley and Ferid teamed up and killed him when I was only 14. So I, a young teen, was forced to become the King. I never wanted that. Ever. But, soon I went through the ritual to become a full vampire when I turned 18. Now I'm stuck in this form for the rest of my life. Crowley had been in hiding since he murdered my father, like the coward he is. It's practically in his name."
I kind of laughed at that joke, but then stopped when I reminded myself this was a serious subject.
"My mother, Krul," Mika continued with a look of longing in his face. "Eventually found it too difficult to rule our realm when she was still heartbroken over my father. So, I became the only ruler of my family."
"Why did Crowley show up a sudden?" I ask. Mika frowns.
"He wants to try and eliminate me, since I'm the only ruler. My mother will never be Queen ever again, she told me. So I'm the only competition for Crowley. He wants to try and spread the news and make sure that he becomes King. When he does, he will make Ferid his council leader, and will make his two little bratty assistants his queens." It's my turn to frown now.
"There can be two Queens?"
"No, but he thinks he can change the law. He's always thought of himself as a perfect ruler. Although I don't agree with my grandfather's actions, I still believe he and my father made great Kings."
"Do you think of yourself as a great King?" I can't help but ask. Mika takes my hand and kisses it lightly before replying,
"Yuu, I'm an 18 year old boy who has been a vampire all of my life. I'm not supposed to feel, my heart is supposed to be dead. That's what makes a great King. But my family changed that. I just wish I loved my people as much as I love you." He sighs again.
I blush.
"M-Mika...I think you're a great King." Mika smiles.
"Thank you, Yuu." I smile back.
"No problem. And by the way, I'm really sorry about everything that has happened. You never deserved that. Crowley is no match for you." Mika beams.
"Thank you, my love. It means a lot to me. I love you."
"I love you too."
I accidentally let the words slip out of my mouth before I could stop them.
Oops.
