"Chlo!"
"Yeah," I shouted from the bathroom
"Come here I want you to be here when I tell Cas the news,"
"Oo comimg!" I said before putting my flat iron down and walking into the main part of our room
"Chloe!" Casie exclaimed when she saw me
"Hey Cas, I miss you,"
"I miss you too. Dad what's the news?"
Kells looked at me and smiled "So you remember when you told me I should marry Chloe?"
"Uhh, yeah kind of. Why?"
"Well, last night I proposed,"
"What does that mean?" Bless her soul
"I asked Chloe to marry me,"
Casie gasped "Did she say yes? Did you say yes?"
"I did say yes," I replied, holding my hand up so she could see the ring
She did another dramatic gasp "You're going to get married?"
"Yep," Kells pulled me in and kissed me. We chatted to Casie about random crap for another half hour, interrupted a couple of times, once by me turning my flat iron off (safety first) and the others were poor connection on our end because hotel WiFi is shitty. Eventually, we said goodbye to her. Neither of us could be bothered to get ready and therefore we ordered room service. Turned out the guy delivering our food was actually a huge fan of Kells
"Man that's so dope, you want a picture or something?"
"Could I? This is real unprofessional but I've been obsessed with your music since before Lace Up. Oh my god is that your girlfriend?" The guy asked him.
Kells looked at me "Yep. She's actually my fiancée but same thing,"
"Congrats, man," They took a photo together quickly "Thank you so much. Enjoy the rest of your stay, congrats on the engagement, hope your wedding all goes well,"
The server got a fat tip, and we dig into our food. I got a green salad and Kells got steak. We put a movie on and watched it as we ate.
I woke up the next morning with my head on Kells' shoulder and his arm around me. He was still asleep and I didn't want to wake him by getting up, so I stayed there and admired the collection of tattoos that adorned his skin. My favourite on his front, the only place I could see was his 'locals only' tattoo, but my all time favourite was the colourful 'MGK' on his back. I looked at the hand that he had over my stomach, and saw something on the side of his finger, a name. I tried to shift my weight so that I could read it better, and saw it said Chloe. Before my mind had the time to process this, Kells woke up
"Good morning, gorgeous," He said before planting a kiss on my forehead. I didn't waste any time
"Did you get my name tattooed on the side of your finger?" I asked him
"Oh, yeah. I did it myself the night I bought your ring," He answered
I smiled "Really?"
"Yeah," Kells said quietly
"I wanna do your name when we get back,"
"We can do it now, get a pen and a needle,"
I scavenged the room for the two items and returned them to Kells. He cracked the pen open so he could access the ink, put some of it on my needle and handed it to me "Ink away,"
A few hours later, I had 'colson' engraved on my finger
"Why did you do Colson?"
"Because only a few people are lucky enough to know Colson, so I figured I'd take advantage of my luck and put him on my finger,"
"Look at you getting all deep. Anyway, when I went down to reception and I saw this leaflet for like jet skiing or something so I thought fuck it let's do it so we're jet skiing at three,"
"Okay, what time is it now?"
"Uhh, 11"
I gasped "We're brunching,"
He was not happy about this. Personally, I think brunch is a genius idea and it's my favourite thing to do however some (Kells) think otherwise.
"But like, why two meals in one? Like why would you do that?"
"Because if you wake up at an awkward time you can do two meals in one and stay on track,"
"Or you could eat three meals and be happier,"
I was exasperated "How can you not appreciate the beauty that is brunching?"
"Because I'm a normal person and I have other beauties to admire,"
I smiled "Smooth,"
"What can I say?"
