i walk
through the
wide and
bright field
of petunias,
sweating under
the gaze of
april's sun
as i run
my fingers
gently over
their fragile
petals,
they quickly
freshen themselves
and the
fragrance spreading
from their cores
caress my senses
to return
my gentleness
