AFTER THE BATTLE of Hogwarts, Harry had went back to Aubrey's body. He knelt down, picking her up bridal style, picking himself back up, taking both of them back to the nearly destroyed Dining Hall, where students and staff were at. Heads turned, looking at the Potter boy and the love of his life's dead corpse in his arms; giving him sympathetic, pity glances. Harry couldn't feel anything, he was numb. It was only a matter of time before he would feel grief, but right now, he didn't want to feel anything anymore.
Harry knew he should be thrilled, and celebrating with his fellow wizards and witches, that Voldemort was killed. But he couldn't bring himself to feeling happy, because Aubrey was dead. She was gone. She was never coming back.
Aubrey's funeral was anything but mundane. It was held outside, on a beach. Many Hogwarts students and staff had attended the funeral, as they all loved and adored Aubrey. Narcissa and Draco even attended, excluding Lucius, who never considered Aubrey as a daughter.
Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Draco were the only ones who stood up to the podium to say their eulogies to the deceased, Aubrey Thomas. Hermione's was heartfelt, consisting of numerous stories of their pure friendship. Ron's was humorous, adding his own stories of how Aubrey really impacted his life. Draco's was tear-jerking, expressing how guilty he felt for how he treated her all these years, and how she will always be his sister. Harry's eulogy made everyone cry; his was raw, powerful, and beautiful.
Months passed since Aubrey Thomas died during the battle. Harry was not coping with the grief. He put his Auror training on hold, putting his whole life on hold, still grieving the loss of his one true love.
All Harry did was drink his sorrows down in Firewhiskey, lay on the couch, not being able to get up. He was truly a mess and was not moving the grieving process along. Everyone else was moving on with their lives, having Aubrey's memory live on in their hearts and what they do in their lives.
Hermione busted open Harry's locked apartment door, marching into the living room, where her best friend was laying, unmoving at. Ron was right behind, as they stood in front of the raven-haired boy.
"Get up, Harry," Hermione demanded, ripping the blanket off of his body.
He groaned in annoyance, looking up at his two best friends. His face was unshaved, dark circles painted under his eyes, his hair unkept and untidy.
"What the hell, Hermione!" Harry hissed, dropping his empty bottle of Firewhiskey.
"Harry, just get up," Ron insisted, shaking his head.
"Fine," Harry scoffed, stiffly standing up.
Hermione took Harry by his arm, dragging him to his bathroom. "Get in the shower, then get dressed. You're getting the hell out of this flat."
"I'm not leaving, and you can't make me," Harry spat, walking away from his two friends.
"Harry, you can't keep doing this," Ron said with concern, following him.
"Doing what, Ron? Grieving my dead girlfriend? I can't do that now, huh? Piss off," Harry bellowed.
"We've all been grieving, Harry. But it's months since Aubrey died. You got to at least start to move past it," Ron asserted.
"You know Aubrey would want you to live your life," Hermione persisted.
Harry glared at her. He hated hearing her name.
"She even told you to not let her death be in vain," Hermione urged. "Look at what you're doing! You're letting her death mean nothing! Aubrey deserves to have her memory be honored. She-"
"Shut up!" Harry roared. "Don't you dare talk about her! She's dead, Hermione! Aubrey is dead! And she's never coming back. I will never hear her voice again. I will never get to see her smile again. I will never get to look into her eyes again. I will never be able to kiss her again. I will never be able to hold her again. I will never be able to say 'I love you' to her," Harry weeped.
He collapsed onto the floor, tears streaming down his face at a fast rate. Hermione instantly embraced her best friend, as Ron followed.
That night, Harry realized that Aubrey was truly gone. Even thought she was gone, she will always be with him-in spirit.
Harry had gone back to his Auror training, and successfully completed it. He was officially an Auror, and he could feel Aubrey with him, giving him the confidence he needed.
One night, Harry was rummaging through some of Aubrey's things. He spotted a brown leather journal, with the initials 'AT' engraved onto the front cover. He sat down on his bed, flipping to the first page. Harry smiled reading Aubrey's first journal entry:
"Dear Journal,
Or whatever muggles say when writing into their journals. I don't even know why I'm even starting a journal. Hermione is the one that got me into it. She was telling me she had one when she was younger, and I felt like I was missing out in my childhood. So, I'm starting one at 17-years old. Sad, isn't it?
Anyway, I liked to discuss my hopes and dreams. First and foremost, I'd like to defeat Voldemort. Merlin, I can't believe I was brainwashed into thinking he was my savior. That's what you get when you get raised by a family who were Death Eaters.
Secondly, I'd like to give a little fashion advice to Harry. He's always wearing the same polyester blue shirt, and it's really hideous. He needs some serious fashion lessons.
Thirdly, I want to open and operate a nonprofitable organization to help orphan children, just like myself. I want to help those kids that feel like they don't belong, just because they don't have parents. Those kids deserve everything good in the world. And they deserve a good home, with a family who truly loves them.
I guess I'm done with this entry. Goodbye...I guess?

Harry smiled, trailing his fingers down the quill writing, hearing her speak the words she written. He knew how to keep her memory alive.
After almost two years of Aubrey's death, Harry finally started the Aubrey Thomas Organization. A nonprofitable organization that helps orphan children find good, loving homes. Her death would now not be in vain, and her memory will live on forever.
Aubrey Thomas was a fighter. She was a courages, passionate, determined, and loving young women who fought for what was right.
She was black magic and sinisterly evil, but once she filled that void in her life, she figured out what she really was missing, which was a home.
And she found a home within the golden trio.
Aubrey Thomas' memory will forever live on.
