Lions win 82-80
Kaycee immediately ran to Sean to celebrate the win and in the process jumped onto and kissed him
"You won!!!"
Kaycee POV
"You kissed me..." Sean commented still in a daze
"Oh sorry I couldn't wait anymore and besides this will be memorable enough for me" I said as everyone basically crowded us "You won!"
"We won!" Sean said as everyone around us shared our excitement
Tati POV
We won... We won!!
Kaycee immediately raced over to Sean the moment the shot went in and me and Tahani were just jumping in place with excitement as Bailey was just stunned as she began to wander the gymnasium
"I'm so happy we won!" Tahani said as she exhaled a breath held in ever since Julian started the pass
"Yeah I'm happy you didn't jinx it" I joked as she has been jinxing the whole game
"Yeah..." She said as we began an awkward silence
It never occurred to me we never really made up unlike with me and Kaycee and Tahani
"Are we good?" I asked
"Yeah... I was never mad at you" she said "you just never shown until recently you wanted to be our friend"
"I'm so sorry, I always wanted to stay friends I just read each and every situation wrong"
"You did?"
"I thought I told Kaycee the honest truth, I thought you were using me, I even took advantage of Kaycee's kindness... All because I wanted to be the popular girl and I'll be even lucky if half the school doesn't hate me"
"Tati you're beautiful, smart and when your being evil extremely nice and friendly why else do you think me and Kaycee became friends with you" Tahani said
"Because I used to trick all the boys into giving us candy and chocolate when we were kids?" I said
"No, because you were and still are the sweetest person you just show it differently" Tahani said "You mainly only care about your friends supporting them through and through it's just when someone opposes them or are simply not on your side you get aggressive"
"Yeah you got me pretty figured out" I admitted
"Of course I do I've known you for like half my life, you're my sister" she said
"I promise I'll be a better friend" I said as we made our way to the middle where everyone else was gathering
"Just promise to be you and not anyone else"
Julian POV
"You had the shot why didn't you just take it no one would have blamed you if you missed" I said to Josh as frankly we were just tired and needed to catch our breath before we celebrate with the others besides Sean saved the day so he deserves all the praise
"I knew you would pass it to me, so I passed it to real wide open person" Josh replied back
"But that was basically the same shot as before" I said as I helped him up
"And we've both learned since then" Josh said and I couldn't help but put my arm around my brother "We're going to the tournament!"
"Yeah" I said as we approached the opposing team for good sportsmanship something our teammates were too busy celebrating to do "Good game!"
They gave us a mean look at first but it morphed into a smile as they returned the handshakes
"What can I say, you beat us fair and square" Will said shaking my hand
"Yeah we all did what we could but the better team won" Gabe said as Grant and Josh Cruz nodded in agreement
"Hey can I ask you all a favor?" Josh asked them
"What's that?" Gabe said
"When our friend Bailey transfers to IDA next semester please don't give her a hard time" Josh said as I know he still has a soft spot for her "She did what Kenneth asked of her but our groups friendship was just stronger than that"
"A hard time? I never planned on giving her a hard time" Kenneth said "When I told Bailey to do all that it wasn't as an ultimatum... but she might have viewed it as that..."
"Then why at all?" I asked
"This school really needed to make it to the tournament, if we did the district would give the school more funding and I wanted to beat you by any means necessary" Kenneth explained "Bailey's my girlfriend... well... ex-girlfriend since I thought she moved permanently but nevertheless I was going to treat her like a queen next semester no matter what happened"
"You all are still going to the tournament" I said to them which surprised them
"What?!"
"The last game of the season for us is against a team you lost to" I said which Josh understood as well
"So if we beat them you will have the second best record in the division by the fact you beat us the team that beat them, and you will be the wild card in the tournament" Josh said to them "And we never planned to lose the last game"
"You will be having a tough road in the tournament as you will be lower ranked going against top teams but you will still make the tournament" I said
"I never knew" Kenneth said
"Yeah it's a weird rule because both of us before this game only had one loss we were considered among the best teams in the state automatically putting us in the running for the wild card but you wouldn't have known this until enough of the other teams lost during the season" I continued
"If you would have won you would have been guaranteed in like we are but we would have been in the same situation as you are and hoping you win the last game for the wild card slot" Josh added
"You better win!" Will said to us "I want a rematch!"
"Yeah I need to go against you two and Sean again" Gabe said "He really exposed me on that play"
"And if not why not some 3 on 3 sometime" Kenneth said
"Of course" Josh said as him and Kenneth shook hands
Bailey approached us and I can tell she was hesitant
"It's okay no ones mad" I said
"I'm sorry Kenny" Bailey said to Kenneth
"It's okay babe, turns out we still have a chance to make it to the tournament" Kenneth said to her as he continued to restate what me and Josh said to them
"Oh that's great!" Bailey said as she and Kenneth hugged
"So yeah perhaps we will meet in the finals" Kenneth said "I'm sorry if I made you feel like you didn't have a choice I didn't want to get in the way of your time here"
"It's okay" Bailey said
"So when you get back you're going to be praised for what you did" Kenneth said to her "Okay"
"Okay"
The coach of the other team called them over as its time for them to go back to their school
"See you all later" Gabe and the other players said as the all proceeded to leave
as they all left on there bus
"Josh..." Bailey started to say as I recognized my cue to leave
"It's cool Bailey we can talk about it at the dance" Josh said dragging her over as we walked to the group
"Homecoming?!" Bailey questioned
"Yeah I asked you and you said yes right!"Josh said
"...Of course!" she said as we made it to the group
"You all did it!" Tati said hugging both me and Josh
"Dang you hug tight!" I commented as she let us go
"Sorry!" Tati said
Sean and Kaycee managed to break free from the crowd as the crowd followed Leon, Jay, and the others outside the gym to celebrate
The seven of us were all in a small circle as Sean and Kaycee came from the crowd, Tahani and Tati came from the stands and me Josh and Bailey came from the other team
"So..." Kaycee said as no one was saying anything making us laugh
"Are we all good with each other now?" Sean said referring to all the fights and friendship issues
"Yeah" Josh said as he casually wrapped his arms around Tahani and Bailey "No bad blood"
"I mean I'm sure L2M hates me but yeah" Tati said as Kaycee hugged her "I got my besties back!"
"KayHanAti forever!!" Tahani said
"Plus Bailey" Kaycee added
"Good because we have ... about 3 and a half hours until the homecoming dance" I said as the realization came upon us that there wasn't much time left
"Yeah we should go!" Sean said as all of have to shower and such plus we had planned to ride there together as well
"Split up gang!" Kaycee said as we all comically ran in separate directions only to come right back together
"Meet at Kaycee's house" Sean said as we didn't know where we were going as we all split up again this time the girls leaving together to presumably Kaycee's moms car and us guys went to the locker room

"So if you want you can grab your stuff and we can get ready at my place" Sean said to us "I live the closest to Kaycee and my mom was already going to drive since we probably need two cars now"
Yeah there was now 8 of us with Josh going with Bailey, Tahani with Leon, Sean with Kaycee and me with Tati and homecoming is nowhere near important to grab a limo so having two cars to hold four people is ideal
"Yeah that's fine, I don't think my mom is home anyways so I can just grab the clothes shower at your place" Josh said as Sean's place is like his second home anyways
"Yeah with it being 8 of us two cars is best" I said "So yeah I'll get dressed at my place but I'll chill with you two at Sean's as the girls will probably take forever"
"Agreed"
Tati POV
Kaycee's house
Tahani, Bailey and I texted our moms to grab all of our stuff and bring them to Kaycee's place
We for the most part had our hair done with it getting a little out of place thanks to all the things happening today but Kaycee's mom and sister fixed it for all of us
Nails and make up doesn't take that long with us four, Kaycee and Bailey wear a minimal amount of makeup, and Tahani and I still know how to do each others makeup perfectly, and nails were the first thing we did so they should be almost dry by the time the boys come
"Hey I just want to say sorry again" Bailey said to us three as we all had let our nails finish drying before we officially get dressed
"We know Bailey" Kaycee said
"I know but I just feel really bad" Bailey continued
"Bailey you already apologized to Kaycee, your nose already met my fist and you've dealt with Tahani for these past few weeks" I said
"Hey!" Tahani said
"You're forgiven"
"Thanks Tati"
"But don't do it again" I said to her as she nervously laughs at my threat
"Anyways I realized we haven't ate since lunch..." Tahani said
"Oh no..." Kaycee said
"What's wrong?"
"Homecoming isn't prom it will have at most maybe snacks what are we going to do if we get hungry" Kaycee said
"And based on when we should be ready, the boys arrive, and the picture taking our moms will most certainly do we're going to be a little bit more than fashionably late" Bailey said
"Meaning less snacks" Tahani said
"I'm sure if we asked the boys they will take us someplace to eat" I said
"Yeah I just asked bae and he said he will get us some snacks before they get here and might take us out on semi dates if were still hungry" Kaycee said
"Good" I said "Now since I wasn't here for this, You and Sean are too cute how did this happen?"
"It all started when a girl meets a boy..." Kaycee started
"Sean ran into her literally and recognized her from dance and they've been texting ever since" Bailey said "They got together at the festival a few weeks back"
"Oh okay that's cute, I already knew Kaycee was going to over dramatize it something about how Sean saved her from a dragon and swept her off her feet or something like that"
"Hey!" Kaycee said as we laughed "That's what it felt like though..."
"Anyways we don't have that long before the boys get here we should get dressed" Tahani said looking at the time
"Alright me first" Bailey said going to get changed first
