Kokichi's pov
~3 months later~
Three months had gone by and Shuichi was still in the hospital for brain injuries.. he had been in a coma ever since we went to the bar. Maki, Kaito and me were sued for what had happened in the bar three months ago... the guy that i had ripped his balls off was still alive and pissed at us for the fight but i don't regret it because we were both found guilty so the trial was pointless. But the judge only sent me to jail for about a month since i did the worse thing. The man tried charging me for injury I inflicted and i said i was doing it out if defense but took it too far so they found it pointless. Kaito even agreed with me later that the guy deserved it because Shuichi hasn't waken up since that day and the doctor says he might have some memory issues but overall he should be fine once he wakes up and recovers.. from his head hitting that bar stand he got a major concussion. He must have had been thrown pretty hard... ever since i got out of prison i never left Shuichi's side.... Kaito and Maki watched him until i got out. Kiibo on the other hand didn't work but he also helped out when it came to Shuichi's health. He would stay around with me and only stay in the day time and came back at in the morning. All I really did was sleep.. my subordinates would come by and check on us every two days. Other than that i never left that room. I waited and waited hoping he would wake up soon but he didn't. Weeks had gone by then it became months. In total 6 months had gone by.... and he still hadn't waken up. One night... I decided to sleep in the hospital bed with him and i started crying... i felt so much pain in my heart...I couldn't handle the fact that he might never wake up but I also had to give him time... but seeing him in this state was just saddening. But something today just mad me mad but also... well I would really say glad or happy it was more in between sorrow and being glad to forgive if that makes any sense.... the man that i had ripped his balls off somehow found us in the hospital... he knocked on the door and i answered it... no one was in the room to say anything to me about the situation and the fact that when i saw him when I opened the door I slammed it shut.
"Hey i know your upset but please let me in" he said
"Why should i let you...even after what you did to him" i said
"Look i dont wanna make this a scene... can we just talk calmly about this..." he pleaded
"I thought you settled things in court with this... what more do you want?" I said.
"Nothing i just... wanna know how he's doing" he said
"Its really none if your concern how he his" i said
"Look if you really wanna know why im here... I'm here to apologize..." he said
I opened the door and looked at him.
"Just get the hell in" i said
He walked in and sat down on a chair and looked at me as i sat down and looked at Shuichi. I had a look of despair in my face and the man noticed this."
"Is he really in this state because of me?" He said
"Yeah he is... you really did push him really hard" i said
"Im really sorry i put him in this state it wasn't my intention.." he said
"Yeah and you literally brushed that off in court by saying you were drunk...." i said
"Yeah i know... and im not excusing myself for my actions.... you had every right to do what you did to me.." he said
"Yeah you think? I dont take head injuries so lightly... honestly I thought about it and yeah i may have gone over board but i dont like it when people hurt the ones i love..." i said
"I kinda dont blame you now... looking at your loved one and in the state he is in im really really sorry for what i did" he said tearing up
"Well i have hope... he should wake up without any problems but thats gonna be a very slim chance besides we are both on equal terms... you can't have children. if Shuichi dies i will no longer stay around because then there isn't a point. I'll get what i want in the end and hell if he dies ill make sure he has a nice resting place for eternity..." i said
"I'm just so sorry for ruining your relationship... I wouldn't forgive myself ever for this.." he said sobbing
"Hey... dont cry. Its pitiful Besides its okay things will happen. basically everything has a purpose and its all Inevitable we all are gonna die in the end so whats the point" i said
"Alright... ill stop crying.. and well you got a point" he said wiping his tears away
"You know... you probably heard of us on the news... if the name "Kokichi Ouma" and "Shuichi Saihara" sound familiar other than me telling you that would be us..." i said
"Yeah... now that you mentioned it. I did hear those names about 6 years ago.. when they found all those teenagers bodies and only 5 survived but one of the five was hurt really badly.." he said
"What if i told six of us survived..." i said
"I'd believe it... the detectives couldn't find everyone... a teenager with purple hair was missing from the body count... according to the survivors he was dead.." he said
"Well... they are wrong... i am that teenager that everyone couldn't find... i had disappeared for 6 years...and for as Shuichi... he waited for me to come back." I said
"Yeah no... I remember hearing those names" he said
"All of those teenagers we were forced to participate in a killing game." I said
"Is that why you did what you did to me?" He said
"I already told you why... you hurt Shuichi when he didn't do anything and I don't take head injuries so lightly" i said
"Right right" he said
I looked out side as he said that and continued to stare out the window. I look back at Shuichi and sighed deeply.
"You I could have killed you... but I didn't. It's against my code and organization." I said
"Why are you against it in the first place?" He said
"As an orphan people tried to get rid of me and kill me.. i grew up with a bunch of orphans who went through the same and i became their leader." I said
"So you where setting a good example for your friends?" He said
"Yes that was the point.. but we only hurt people if it's necessary but other than that it's against our code" i said
"What is this organization anyways? He asked
"Thats a secret... no one knows what it is and only very few ever see us or even know its us" I explained.
As I finished that sentence Kaito walked into the room. He grabbed a chair and sat down quietly. The man that i was talking to excused himself because it was late. He also apologized to me and looked really beaten emotionally. I also said sorry for what i did to him and he left the room. Kaito started humming to himself and then stopped when i broke the silence.
"Where is Maki?" I asked
"She got a job so shes out taking care of it." He said
"Oh okay." I said
"You know Kokichi... you shouldn't stay here all the time.. its not really healthy.. i can tell your having some trouble." Kaito said
"No I'm not... i just miss his voice and the way he makes me feel... its sad to see him like this.." i said
"C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me. I'd like to believe, in all the possibilities" Kaito sang slightly
"..." i stared blankly at him
"You need to have some faith that he will make it.. believe in all those possibilities...that song helps me think that things will turn out good because they will Kokichi. You should leave and walk around the hospital so you get some air... you'll need it to clear some of the stress you have currently." Kaito said
"Okay i will Kaito.... I guess ill go out and get myself a hot steamy cup of mental stability." I laughed slightly
"Hahaha that was a little edgy sounding even for me Kokichi." Kaito laughed
"Nishishi~ i was kidding but i will go get myself some coffee." I said
"Oh when you go to get some can you get me one. You know how i like it right?" Kaito said
"Two sugars and three creamers right? Wait thats how i like it...." i said
"It's actually one sugar and two creamer."Kaito laughed slightly
"Shoot close enough" i said
"Off by one" he said
"Okay you'll stay and watch Shuichi right?" I said
"Yep i wont leave for any reason so you can just relax." He assured
"Okay well ill be back in a bit" i said
"Alright just don't spill anything" he joked
"Oh shut up" i said walking out
I headed towards the cafeteria were the coffee shop was to get the coffee. I payed the cashier and went over to the side stand to put in the sugars and creamers. I just hope Shuichi wakes up soon and is okay. I really miss him.... i just want him back and for him to be alright.
