XU MINGXIA stared at her phone, nervously as it buzzed beside her on the bed.
JUNJIE
Her phone had been ringing the past five minutes and wouldn't stop. She didn't understand. Why was this person calling her? They knew she accidentally (in a way) called them.
The buzzing of her phone ceased and she let out a sigh of relief. He's finally stopped-the phone buzzed again except it only buzzed once. They sent a text.
JUNJIE
hi.
i just wanted to make sure
that you were okay.
are you okay?
please answer me

She blinked at the text and read it over and over again. A stranger wanted to know if she was okay? A person who she accidentally called and hung up on was asking her if she was okay.
Hesitantly, she took her phone into her hands. They deserve an explanation especially since I called so late.
