Demi's pov
(At lunch)
I get in line next to Kehlani
"So you're from Oakland California" I ask
"Yup how about you" she ask
"I'm from New Mexico but I grew up in Texas" I say
"Cool" she says while grabbing her lunch and walking to a table in the back I follow her and I sit next to her
"So u still down to hang after school" Kehlani ask
"Sure" I say
"I'm going outside to have a smoke join me" she says
I nod then I get up and walk outside with Kehlani
(Outside)
Kehlani pulls a lighter and a blunt from her backpack then she takes a huge puff then gives it to me and I inhale it and I start coughing
"Holy fucking shit" I say
She laughs
"As u can tell I don't smoke but I inject" I say while pulling her to the bleachers
We hide under the bleachers and I pull out my bag of cocaine and a needle
"Ever injected" I ask
She shakes her head no I put the cocaine in my needle and I pull up my sleeve and I inject myself I throw my head back
"Can I try" she ask
I nod
She pulls her sleeve up and injects herself
"Ouch" she says her eyes clearly bloodshot she rolls her eyes to the back of her eyes then she passes out
"FUCK" I panic
I get up and I grab my phone and I call my sister Dallas the only person who knows i use
"Hello" she answers
"Um I need help uh this girl I um like we were doing cocaine and she injected herself and then she passed out" I say while checking her pulse she's breathing
"Ugh where r u at a school" she ask
"The bleachers" I reply
I hang up
"I'm so sorry" I say to her while stroking her short but curly hair
She smiles
"You're so beautiful" I say to her
Her eyes flutter open
"Are you okay Lani" I ask
She nods and smiles
"Yeah" she says
I giggle
"Can I tell you something" she ask
"Of course" I say
"I..i like um girls" she say while in tears
I hold her on my lap

She giggles
"Did you come out" I ask
She shakes her head no

"My sisters and I are really close and shit so I told them I was bisexual and my stupid ass ex boyfriend heard me and threatened to tell everyone if I didn't have sex with him so I told everyone and my stepdick kicked me out because he didn't approve and he said I'll rot in hell so story of my life what about you California rebel what's you're story" I ask
"Well I'm 15 I'm from Oakland California I have lots of tattoos I've tried to kill myself 6 times this year all together in life I've tried to kill myself 18 times I've never felt together until today spending time with u was the best day of my life I grew up in Christian household so my aunt says people who are gay or apart of the lgbt or anyone who supports will rot in hell or god made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve or dumb fuckin shit like that so I turn tattoos or music for help and shit" she says
I start to tear up
