Valerie's POV
Jay's gonna know the secret. In fact, he probably already knows. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around it. He actually knows.
Once I reached the firehouse, I headed in towards Matt's office. I knocked on the door before he gestured me in.
"Hey Val what's up?" said Matt going through his papers
I rolled down all of the blinds and then sat on the end of the bed quietly watching his every move.
"Is everything okay?" Matt asked
I nodded my head trying to hold back my tears.
"Then why are you so quiet?" he asked
I shrugged my shoulders.
"Valerie, are you sure everything's okay? You know you can talk to me about anything. I'm here for you" he said setting down his papers
"I..." I said before breaking down into tears
"Hey hey, it's alright. Just tell me what happened" Matt said coming over and holding me tight as I cried in his arms
"He...knows..." I said in between sobs
"Who knows what?"
"Jay. He knows about the baby. I knew I should've erased the video when I had the chance"
"Shh...everything will be alright. We'll figure this out"
I break down even more before I heard a knock on the door. Matt grabs the box of tissues on his desk and gave it to me before opening the door. It was Jay. I turned and faced away from the door.
"Jay, right now is not a good time" said Matt
"Matt, I know everything. Please let me talk to her" said Jay
"She's not ready to talk to you" said Matt
"Please I'm begging you. Let me talk to her. Give me 5 minutes" said Jay
Matt looks over at me before turning back to Jay "take as much time as you need. But remember, if you hurt her in some way I'm coming for you"
Matt leaves the room and Jay comes in closing the door behind him. He comes and sits beside me. He tries to grab my hand but I pull it away.
"You have nothing to say right?" I said wiping my tears
"I'm still in shock" said Jay
"Well now you know" I said before getting up heading for the door but Jay pulls me back and holds me tightly which causes me to break down even more
"I'm so sorry Valerie" Jay says while holding me
"She...was...so...little" I said in between sobs
"I wish I knew sooner. I wish I could've been there for you instead of cheating on you. I'm such a fuck up" said Jay
"It hurts so much. The pain just doesn't go away. I held her in my arms" I cried
"Shh...shh... it's alright. Everything is alright. I'm right here" Jay said
"Just take me home please" I said
"You know it's gonna have to be back at my place" Jay said
"Whatever. I just want to sleep" I said
We both got up and headed out of the office. We started to make our way out of the fire house when we came face to face to a masked gunman.
"Not so fast you two" said the gunman
"What do you want" Jay said standing in front of me. I hid behind him
"I want her" said the gunman
"Not even a chance" said Jay
The gunman starts to move closer as we both backed away further back towards the fire house.
"Give her to me" said the gunman
"Gotta get through me first" Jay said
"Please, what do you want?" I asked
"$500 grand. Up front. In cash" said the gunman
"We don't have that money on us" said Jay
"Then I shoot her. Right here. Right now" said the gunman grabbing me behind Jay and putting the gun up to my head
"STOP!" said Severide coming out with his hands up
"PLEASE LET ME GO. PLEASE!" I cried
"Get me $500 grand and she's safe" said the gunman
"No way man" said Severide which caused the gunman to shove the gun harder onto my head . I scream in terror.
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! We'll get it for you. Now hand her back over" Jay said
"I'll keep her with me. Bring it to 25 Water St by 6pm sharp. And if you don't show up, she'll be dead" said the gunman pulling me with him
"JAY!!! KELLY!!!" I screamed before being shoved into the back of a blue van
"JAY!!!" I screamed louder
"SHUTUP" said the gunman
"KELLY!!!" I screamed again
"Scream one more time and you're gonna regret it" said the gunman
"JAY!!!!....." I screamed ever louder
And before I knew it, I was out cold.

Jay's POV
I'm gonna get this all sorted out. I need to save her before anything happens. I dial Voight's number and fill him in on details. I leave the fire house and made my way back to the precinct. The gang has already started to put the case together.
"Okay what do we know so far?" Voight asked
"Male. About 6'2". Strongly built. Preferably Latino" said Burgess
"We got the note from the package earlier" said Ruzek pinning it up in the board
"Do we know if Valerie has any enemies?" Voight asked
"Not that I know of" I said
"Antonio, run the camera footages near the firehouse to see if we can get a license plate" said Voight
"On it sir" said Antonio
"Jay, may I speak with you please in my office" said Voight
I make my way into his office closing the door behind me.
"I can't let you on this case" said Voight
"What? Why?" I said
"You're too close to this"
"What are you talking about?"
"You know what I'm talking about. The video"
"Oh that's nothing. It won't affect my work"
"God damn it Jay, I said back off of this case. And this is affective immediately" said Voight
I leave his office and went over to my desk.
"Is everything okay?" Erin asked
"I'm off the case" I said
"Don't worry, I got your back" she said
"Yeah, I know" I said
I flipped through the files to see if there was anything we missed. I reopened the files in the flash drive and looked over them once again. I came across the video and can't help but click on it once again. I sat here and re-watched it.
