Chaeyoung POV
I slip into my comfy pjs after taking a hot shower, I can't lie, I spent longer than I usually do because I'm dreading having to face Jungkook once I'm done.
Despite being a confident, strong and logical. I've always been careful when it comes to men and their intentions. It's something that's been engraved into me by my father.
You can never be sure of someone's intentions until you truly know them.
*heavy sigh*
You can do this Chae, this is nothing compared all the obstacles you've gone through. This is nothing.
I clasp my grip onto the door knob, opening it and walk out, my hands move to my wet hair as I attempt to dry my it a towel. I can feel Jungkook's stare from where he's sitting on the bed. But I refuse to show any reaction and my attention remains fixated on the damp that is growing on my T-shirt.
Honestly I'm annoyed that I have to stay here. Also guilt towards backing out on Chanyeol isn't necessarily the best feeling in the world, he sounded so disappointed when I told him I was to be staying here instead.
I walk to my suitcase kneel down and open it, putting away the clothes I was wearing before
"Chaeyoung" I hear Jungkook call out.
I say nothing
"Chaeyoung?" He says again a little louder.
No reply
"Chaeyoung" jungkook said again, more frustrated
Still, I don't answer
I hear jungkook getting up from the bed, his footsteps getting louder.
He grabs my wrist pulling me up, I look at him annoyed. Does he really expect me to talk to him? Knowing him he'll be nice one minute then mean the other. Our bodies a few centimeters away from each other and I can smell his cologne.
"What!" I yell, briefly looking at him in the eyes before looking away.
"Quit ignoring me will you, what is your problem?" He yelled back
"Are you seriously asking that?"I answer back irritated
"Chaeyoung i'm making you stay here for your own good. "
"My own good?" I scoff at his answer "Jungkook. Quit it will you. Quit acting like this. Stop acting like you care when you don't. stop making me think you care about me when really you couldn't care less. Just stop. Stop making me question what I feel about" I yell
"What are you-" he began before I cut him
"Leave it, you wouldn't understand" I step away from, turning away, but he caresses my wrist, preventing me from doing so
I turn my face to him,
Then without warning. Jungkook crashes his lips onto mine. Shock, confusion, joy? I cant help but like it. I kiss him back eagerly before realising that this isn't right.
We gaze into each others eyes for what feels like a magical lifetime. His soft expression reels me in breaking the guard I always have up.
Then My next move surprises me the most. I wrap my arms around his neck, and smack my lips onto his. He immediately kisses me back passionately, we stumble slightly as Jungkook presses me against the wall. His soft lips covering mine, our lips moving in sync. His taste intoxicating me, calming me from my troubled thoughts.
We pull away for a brief moment, " I've wanted to do this for so long" jungkook whispers under his breathe, all of a sudden the rest of the world disappears and it's just us. He sends me a warm smile before placing his lips on top of mine once again. My hands run through his hair, as he grabs my waist pulling me closer.
"Jungkook-we-we shouldn't be doing this" I whisper through the kisses
"I want to" he mumbled before making his way back to my lips
I place my hands on his chest, stopping him.
"This is wrong"
"why? We're married." Jungkook says caressing my face, whilst moving a piece of hair that was on my face behind my ear.
I look to my feet as I gather my thoughts before opening my mouth
"I'm afraid. Im not someone who lets their guard down easily because if I do maybe people wouldn't like the real me. I rarely get close to anybody. it's.. just a decision that I've chosen to make. The more people you trust, the more power they have to hurt you"
He places his hand on my chin and tilts my head up to face him,
"I'm not someone worth knowing"
He pulls me into a hug,
"Chaeyoung —" jungkook begins as the sound of a phone ringing cuts him off
*RING RING*
Recognising the ringtone, I rush to grab my phone.
"Hello" I answer
"Chaeyoung-ah,"
My eyes widen innately, Tears automatically brim in my eyes as I recognized the familiar voice. My ears unable to believe what they just heard. A sound I never thought I could ever hear again. The caller—. Disbelief and distress engulfed me. Before I finally build enough courage to say...
"D-dad"
