(Kyle's P.O.V)
Kanina pa nagsimula ang conference pero hanggang ngayon wala pa rin si Violet. Napatingin naman ako sa kinaroroonan ni Valerie. Damn that woman! She obviously did that on purpose! Alam kong gusto niyang pumalpak ang project na hawak ng kapatid niya kaya niya iyon ginawa.
"Mr. Anderson, is your team really prepared to present? Kanina pa tayo naghihintay dito pero wala pa rin sila.", sita naman ng isa sa mga businessman sa kapatid ko at kakikitaan na ng inis ang mukha nito.
"I really apologize for the delay. But if we can just wait for a little while. They're on their way already.", my brother answered.
"Tch! I don't have time for this.", tatayo na sana ito nang biglang bumukas ang pintuan ng conference room kung saan pumasok ang mga bagong dating na sina Violet. Kasama rin nito sina Lauren at Hazel.
"I'm very sorry we're late.", hinging paumanhin naman kaagad ni Violet.
"Obviously, now start with your presentation already.", inis namang sabi ng isa pang businessman sa kanya.
Agad namang pumunta sa harapan si Violet para ipresent ang kanilang project.
"Before starting our presentation, I would like to sincerely apologize again for being late.", she said before continuing. "So, I'm here to present the new products that AC would want to produce in the market. Those new products compose of clothes both for men and women, colognes, and cosmetic products. Let me show you few samples of our products with our video presentation.", Violet said. She then signaled one member of her team to play the video they have prepared.
Nagulat naman kami nang ipinanood nila ang video kung saan minomodel ang mga damit, cologne, and cosmetics na gustong iproduce ng AC.
But what really surprised us is not the products but the model of those products in the video.
Who is no other than my wife.
I never thought she would be the model. And damn! She looks hot and at the same time sexy while modelling those clothes!
"The clothes are very comfortable to wear, they're classy, and sophisticated. And I'm very sure that it would be a hit in the market especially that the style of the clothes are those that youths of today's generation want. It's very 'in' in today's type of clothes. As for the cologne, the fragrance is very alluring. The cosmetics that we want to produce does not cause itchiness, in fact it is very good in the skin.", Violet continued talking more about the products then everyone applauded after her presentation.
"I must say the products are very good.", one businessman commented.
"I agree but how come Mrs. Valerie Anderson is not the one modelling the products?", another businessman asked.
"I agree with Mr. Salvador. Ms. Valerie is AC's face right? I think mas bebenta pa ang products na yan kung si Valerie Anderson ang model dahil isa siya sa mga sikat na model ng bansa. Mas makakahatak siya ng customers."
"Why did you decide not to make her the model of AC's new products?"
Napatingin naman ako kay Valerie na kakikitaan ng kasiyahan ang mukha dahil sa mga sinabing iyon ng ibang mga businessman.
Di ko naman mapigilan ang pag-iinit ng ulo ko dahil sa naririnig ko. Parang lumalabas pa kasi na kasalanan ni Violet kung bakit hindi ang ate nito ang naging model kahit ang totoo naman ay si Valerie ang nag back-out. At parang pinapamukha nila sa asawa ko na kapag ito ang naging model ay hindi bebenta ang mga products ng AC.
"I think mas safe kung si Valerie na lang ang maging model. No offense meant Ms. Shanelle. Parang risky kasi na new face ang mag momodel ng products ng AC."
I can't take it anymore! I can't take everything they're saying to my wife!
"Really? Then how come mababa pa rin ang market status ng mga products ng AC for the past years considering that Ms. Valerie had been their model?", I commented that made all of them face me.
Kung akala nila hahayaan kong pagsalitaan nila ng ganun ang asawa ko, pwes nagkakamali sila.
F-ck them all for thinking that my wife won't bring success to AC!
(Violet's P.O.V)
Napatingin naman kaming lahat kay Kyle nang bigla itong magsalita. Hindi ko inaasahang magsasalita ito at ipagtatanggol ako.
"Kung totoong bumebenta ang mga products ng AC dahil si Ms. Valerie ang kanilang model, how come hindi pa rin tumataas ang profit ng AC? With that, I don't agree with what you are all saying. No offense meant to Ms. Valerie but I think, AC needs a new face to model the products.", Kyle said in a serious tone.
"What's that supposed to mean Mr. Anderson? Are you saying I'm not a credible face of AC?", bigla namang singit ni ate na kakikitaan ng galit ang mukha.
"I didn't say that. I'm just saying that maybe AC needs to try having a new face. Maybe bumenta talaga ang mga products. If not, maybe the products that AC are producing are not really that good.", Kyle answered.
"So what are you trying to say then Mr. Anderson?"
Napatingin naman ulit kaming lahat kay Kyle.
"I would help on AC's new project if and only if Ms. Shanelle Violet would be the model of their new product. I'm not only saying this because she's my wife. I'm also doing this as a smart businessman. As what I saw in my wife's presentation, I can say the project would be a success if she will be the one modelling those products.", Kyle
"I agree.", Brian said.
"Me too.", Lucas agreed as well.
"What can you say Mr. Kevin?", tanong naman nila kay kuya Kevin na tahimik lang na nakikinig.
"Well... I would like to try it also. I agree to make Violet the new face of AC. Besides, I have faith in her and in her capability. I always had and always will.", then nginitian naman ako ni kuya Kevin and I can't help but smile back at him.
"Then I thinks it's settled then."
Agad naman nagsi-tayuan ang lahat dahil tapos na ang lahat ng presentation.
Lumapit naman si kuya Kevin sa akin. "Good job Violet. I know I could always count on you.", he said to me and gave me a light tap in the shoulder.
"Thank you also for believing in me kuya.", nakangiting sabi ko naman sa kanya.
"Sige, I need to go. May kalian pa akong asikasuhin.", then he walked towards the door.
Sumabay naman sa kanya si ate na ang sama ng tingin sa akin pero hindi ko na lang pinansin.
"OMG! BESSY! ANG GALING NATIN! WE DID IT!", tuwang-tuwa namang sambit ni Lauren ng kami-kami na lang ang naririto ngayon sa loob ng conference room.
"OO NGA! WOOOOOOO!", Hazel
Napangiti naman ako kina Hazel at Lauren.
"At hindi yun mangyayari kung hindi sa tulong niyong dalawa kanina. THANK YOU!", nakangiting sabi ko naman sa kanila sabay yakap din sa kanila.
Tumingin naman ako sa mga members ng team ko sa project at nagpasalamat din sa kanila. Kung hindi rin sa tulong nila at effort, hindi magiging successful ang project namin na ito.
"Tutal tapos naman na ang conference, you can just enjoy the rest of the day. Salamat ulit sa tulong niyo.", sabi ko naman sa kanilang lahat.
"Wala po yun Miss Shanelle.", Jenna said.
"Oo nga ma'am. At hindi naman talaga magiging successful toh kung hindi dahil sa'yo."
Nginitian ko na lang sila bilang kasagutan. No, hindi magiging successful yung project kung hindi dahil sa aming lahat. Team effort iyon.
"Tara, mag celebrate na tayo!", biglang yaya naman ni Hazel.
"Baby...", napatingin naman ako sa papalapit sa akin na si Kyle.
Kala ko lumabas na rin siya.
"Congratulations.", he said then gave me a kiss in the cheeks that made me blush.
"Th-thanks.", utal namang sabi ko sa kanya.
"Congrats Violet!", sabi rin ni Lucas na nakaakbay sa asawa niya.
"Oo nga! Congrats Violet!", Brian congratulated me as well.
"Thank you rin sa inyo. Thank you for believing in me.", sabi ko naman sa kanila.
It really meant a lot to me how they stood for me earlier.
Tumingin naman ako kay Kyle na nakangiti habang nakatingin sa akin.
"Thank you Kyle...", I told him.
"For what?", he asked.
I smiled at him. "For standing up for me."
The last thing I saw was his smile before everything went black...
(Valerie's P.O.V)
Pabalibag ko namang sinara ang pintuan ng suite namin ni Kevin pero parang wala lang iyon sa kanya dahil kinuha nito ang laptop nito at pumunta sa table sa may veranda. Mas nag-init naman ang ulo ko kaya agad ko siyang sinundan at sinara ang laptop nito.
"What the hell is your problem Valerie?!", inis namang tanong niya sa akin.
"YOU! Bakit ka pumayag na si Violet ang gawing bagong face ng AC Products?!", galit na galit namang tanong ko sa kanya.
"Ano namang masama kung siya ang gawing bagong face ng AC?", Kevin asked.
"EVERYTHING IS BAD ABOUT IT! That's an insult to my image because I have been the face of AC for how many years already!"
"So? What about it? Ano naman kung matagal ka ng face ng AC? Kung tataas naman ang profit ng AC dahil sa pagkakaroon ng bagong face, it's all worth the try. And besides, ikaw naman ang original kasi na magmomodel ng mga bagong products ng AC pero anong nangyari at hindi ikaw?", Kevin asked.
"Because Violet kicked me out from the project! Inalis niya ako because she wants to have all the glory from the project kung magiging successful iyon!", I told him.
"What?", parang hindi naman makapaniwala ang magaling kong asawa sa sinabi ko dahil sa mata niya, isang santa ang kapatid ko
"You heard me."
"I did but I don't think we're talking about Violet because the Violet I know is not like that.", tumayo naman ito pero agad ko siyang hinawakan sa braso niya.
Pinaningkitan ko naman siya ng mata. "Bakit ba palagi mo siyang kinakampihan ha?"
Parang may isang ideya naman na pumasok sa isip ko and I can't help but smile sarcastically.
"Don't tell me...You like my sister don't you? Kaya palagi mo siyang kinakampihan! Am I right Kevin Anderson? HUH! I can't believe this...", nang-iinis namang sabi ko.
Marahas naman niyang hinila ang kamay niya mula sa pagkakahawak ko.
"You know what? There's no sense talking with you.",sabi nito bago naglakad na paalis.
"C'mon Kevin. It's just a yes or no question. Is it really that hard to answer my question? Or does your 'not answering the question' means yes? Mukhang nasungkit ka naman ata ng kapatid ko a.", panghahamon ko naman sa kanya.
"DON'T TALK ABOUT YOUR SISTER LIKE THAT! And don't even dare compare me and Violet sa inyong dalawa ng gago kong kapatid dahil hindi namin kayo kagayang dalawa! And for your damn stupid question? Yes, I like her. In fact, I love her but only as a sister! You know what Valerie? Gaining Violet as my sister-in-law was the best thing that had ever happened to me when I got married to you!", sigaw naman ni Kevin saka lumabas na ng kwarto namin at pabalibag na sinara ang pintuan.
Naiwan naman ako sa loob na nagpupuyos sa galit!
Dahil sa mga nangyayari, mas nadadagdagan ang galit na nararamdaman ko sa kapatid ko! Sa kapatid kong palagi na lang pa-bida!
Sa kapatid kong walang ibang ginawa kundi ang agawin ang lahat sa akin!
First, our parents...
Then Kyle...
At ngayon naman, pati ang asawa ko at ang trabaho ko!
Pagbabayaran mo toh Violet!
Hinding-hindi ako magpapatalo sa'yo!
Hindi pa tapos ang laban Violet! Sisiguraduhin kong masisira ang imahe mo sa lahat!
Sa parents natin, sa company, sa asawa ko...
At lalong-lalo na kay Kyle.
