They gaped at Feng Yao as she began to let out an evil laugh. Her eyes were brightly shining with faint traces of excitement as her shoulders shook with each cackle.

"Um. Do you think she realizes that her craziness is starting to leak out?"

"Shhh! Maybe if we don't mention it, it'll go away."

Feng Yao didn't notice their hushed conversation as she continued with her evil 'mwahahas' until her heart felt content.

Whew, it's been a while since I last did that. Now then, shall I begin?

She stretched her neck and arms before standing up and slowly walking to the door. The girls instantly went silent as they watched her. Even though they thought she was a bit strange, there was no doubt that she was their best bet in being able to escape.

Out of all the girls watching, only the fifth one narrowed her eyes at Feng Yao. The fifth girl couldn't help but speculate that hours ago, Feng Yao had been no different than one of the many homeless beggars out on the streets.

Her posture is so incredibly straight while her footsteps are soundless. How exactly does a beggar learn such perfect techniques?

The fifth girl watched as Feng Yao turned around to glance at them with no traces of her earlier laughing fit. Instead her eyes were calm and clear like water. Perhaps it was the fifth girl's imagination, but when Feng Yao looked at them, she felt as if Feng Yao's gaze had stayed on her for a split second longer.

At that moment, footsteps from outside sounded just before the doorknob turned. Before the girls could say anything in warning, Feng Yao had already moved. In the next instance, the body of the head maid was lying unconscious on the ground.

No one spoke, unable to comprehend what had just happened. The moment that the head lady had stepped foot into the room, she had already began to tumble towards the floor. Slowly, one by one, their eyes trailed upwards to see an indifferent smile on Feng Yao's face. The way that she seemed so composed sent an eerie chill down their spines.

"Head lady, do you require assistance--"

Two maids came into the room before noticing the scene. Just as they were about to shriek, Feng Yao stepped in front of them. Despite being shorter than them, she easily cut off their screams by placing her hands over their mouths. She leaned in close to whisper something into their ears.

"Do not look for us."

Immediately afterward, Feng Yao's fingers flew to a specific spot on each girl's neck and precisely struck an acupuncture spot. It was so quick as if she'd done this action hundreds of times before.

Thud! Thud!

Feng Yao casually glanced down at them before turning back towards the girls who were staring dumbfounded at her.

"Ready to go?"

She had on a devilish grin as she turned and walked out. Not wanting to be left behind, the five girls hurried after her. The entire building was quiet. Compared to Feng Yao's silent footsteps, the girls behind her were like a hoard of elephants stomping loudly as they followed.

"Miss...do you really think we can leave like this?"

Feng Yao almost laughed at that. So now she went from being "beggar girl" to a "miss"? Did seeing her take out three people suddenly make them lose their minds? She couldn't resist taking this chance to try out one of those cool lines that only heroes were able to say.

"No worries, I'll make sure you guys get back home safe and sound."

Wow Feng Yao, you sound just like a hero!

Feng Yao mentally congratulated herself on upgrading from a beggar to a young miss to a hero. Suddenly, a loud shout rang out from above them on the third floor.

"Hey! What are you all doing!?" Four men dressed in black swiftly jumped over the staircase and brandished their swords.

Looks like they'd rather kill than capture. How interesting! Looks like this place isn't just a brothel, huh?

Feng Yao calmly turned to meet the terror-stricken faces of the girls.

"Now would be the time to run."

Her words automatically made them begin to flee towards the back door. Feng Yao was naturally faster, but seeing that three of the girls had already broken into frightful tears made Feng Yao slow down her pace in order to push them in front of her.

See? This is why it's better being a beggar than a young miss. The skinnier you are, the faster you'll run.

Just as they reached the doorway, the men angrily shouted again.

"You whores can't leave here unless it's by death!"

Hearing that, Feng Yao abruptly stopped. The other girls turned to look at her in confusion before quickly glancing at the threatening men who were quickly advancing.  Feng Yao saw the conflict in their eyes as they debated on whether to run or wait for her.

Well since they're all so nice for waiting, I think it's only right that I do them a favor. Plus...

She turned to coldly stare at the man who had just insulted her.

A whore, huh?

Her lips faintly turned upwards in an unnoticeable sneer.

Naughty little boys have to be taught a lesson, don't you think?

"Go." Feng Yao lightly called out towards the girls. With a sudden piercing gaze, she stared dead straight at the fifth girl.

"You can handle it from here, correct?"

The fifth girl, who had been the most inconspicuous one out of them all, slightly paused. Seeing that Feng Yao was completely serious, her previously fearful features were replaced with an expressionless look. Feng Yao had to admit that it fit her much better than her earlier facade of a helpless little girl.

"En. I can take over. And you?"

Feng Yao's eyes glinted with a strange light as she answered. "I am more than enough here."

The remaining four girls looked quickly between the two unable to figure out what was transpiring in their strange conversation. One of them stepped forward towards Feng Yao with tears in her eyes.

"You aren't coming with us?"

Feng Yao smiled at her concern before answering.

"No, I'm not." She turned around and saw the men appear from down the hallway. Her smile instantly disappeared. They'd be upon them all any second now.

"Go!" Feng Yao forcibly pushed the girl outside before grabbing both metal handles of the double doors.

"Wait!"

But Feng Yao ignored the tearful young girl. With a serious look in her brightly shining eyes, she quietly stated, "Do not look for me. And do not remember me. After all, I'm simply a little peasant girl."

And with that, she slammed the doors closed between her and the others. The intense sound reverberated and echoed throughout the entire room as if she was sealing her fate. But she wasn't afraid. Not at all.

In one fluid motion, she flicked her hands and the heavy metal locks fell into place trapping her here with the four men.

"Heh, are you mad woman? You must really be lonely to go through such extreme measures just to get in a room with us. But don't worry." A disgusting grin lit up his face. "We'll make sure you get lots of loving."

As the man stepped forward, he felt something tingle in his foot, but he quickly dismissed it at seeing such a beautiful girl cornered in front of him. The sword in his hand glinted menacingly as he slowly walked towards her. His gait was cocky and arrogant as if he'd already won. And behind him, the other three men had also already stopped to wait and watch the show.

Seeing this, Feng Yao couldn't help but allow a delighted smile to appear on her face.

"So full of yourself aren't you? What did you say? Can't wait to feel up a woman like me? With terrible manners like yours, it's no wonder why even a prostitute refuses to sleep with you."

Feng Yao's eyes were full of laughter as she lazily leaned against the door behind her. The cold wood pressed sharply into her ribs, but she was having too much fun to realize.

At her words, the man's face darkened as he growled at her. "What'd you say?"

Feng Yao blinked innocently as she asked with confusion. "I don't know. What did I say again? I can't seem to remember. After all, I'm just a whore, right?"

Suddenly, the man's vision blurred. Was it because her smile was too beautiful? Or was it something else? Without warning, her figure abruptly appeared inches away from his face. It was like she had simply just materialized out of thin air.

His eyes widened before he realized that his heart had already been punctured. He couldn't even manage a scream before his entire body collapsed heavily to the ground with a loud thud. As he laid on the ground, his unseeing eyes stared blankly at the direction of his heart which had a single silver needle sticking out of it.

Seeing this, the three other men rushed over. "How dare you, you whore! You won't be able to beat us with the same trick!"

But just before they could reach her, a painful wave of agony hit them and constricted their chests. Their faces turned an ugly shade of red as they gasped for air, but it was already too late. With mouths wide open in a silent scream, they fell dead only an inch away from her own two feet.

She glanced at them with a gaze filled with undisguised disgust. Bending down, she whispered softly as if they could still hear. "One of the largest rules of war is to strike when the opponent is overconfident."

Her lips twisted upwards into a cruel smile as her voice became icy. "And don't forget to tell the God of the Underworld that you had the honor of personally getting sent down by me."

After a moment, she silently she moved towards each man's feet. Unfortunately for them, in their great chase running after her, they had failed to realize that they'd stepped right onto the poisoned silver needles she had planted on the ground. With their running that increased their rate of blood flow and the adrenaline flowing in their veins, the poison quickly became activated without them even having the chance to figure out they were already dead.

Of course because of this, Feng Yao stabbing that man in the heart with the needle wasn't necessary either. But she did enjoy seeing the brief looks of fear that appeared on the remaining men's faces at the sight of it.

With a weight taken off of her shoulders, she began to softly hum as she disposed of the bloody needles. And as for where she ended up finding these needles in the first place?

I hope that person won't be too angry once she realizes that I stole her secret pouch of silver needles. But you know what they say; always hold onto your weapons responsibly or else a greater master will take them.

...Or is that just my own saying?

Feng Yao shrugged, not willing to think anymore.
