Chyna
It had been about a week and a half, since the incident with Troy and I couldn't say I was over it, cause I wasn't. Nothing about what Troy did was right, and it bothered me to know that i didn't see the signs all along. Although, I was definitely hurt, there was no way I could continue to sit around and mope, so today I was going to see some condos, here in New York.
I refused to be one of those girls who have "nothing" once they stop fucking with a nigga, which is why I always had my own money. A few weeks after graduation, I was offered a job, regarding my degree, I had never took too much interest in it but since you alway need a plan B I filled out the paperwork. When they contacted me about the position, they told me I had two options, which was to either start within the next couple weeks after graduation with an advance, or I could take a paid year off, which would give me time to choose my location. Because I have a degree in social work, and the company who is interested in me is a governmental branch, I could literally pick wherever to live. Originally, I was just going to stay in Atl with Troy and work at that location, but now I think it'll be better for me here in NY, gives me a feel of a "fresh start".
After leaving the hair salon, I pulled up in front of the third condo I was scheduled to see today, hoping this would be one that fits my liking. After parking, I turned off the car, and flipped my mirror down, checking my eyebrows and lipgloss, before getting out. I walked up, going into the building, where the realtor was waiting for me. "Here to see the property?" he questioned, with a confused look on his face.
"Yes, Chyna Coleman" I said, reminding him of my appointment.
"Okay, let me just get you checked in" He said, typing something on his ipad. "I'm Toby by the way" he said, as we heard the elevator doors opening. I stood there, checking my notifications and waited for him to get finished typing whatever he had to type. I looked up, seeing a guy that was passing by, staring me dead in my face. When I caught him staring, he didn't look away, but I did once Toby grabbed my attention. "Ready to go up?" he asked.
"Yeah" I said, following behind him, towards the elevator.
"A lot of celebrities live here, do you mind me asking what is that you do?" he asked, as we stepped on the elevator, pressing the 30th floor.
"Social work"
He nodded his head, "Government"
"Yup" i said.
"So you moving here from a different state or, like from a different side of town"
"Uhh, from a different state but I'm here a lot" I said, as we passed the 28th floor.
"Looks like we're here" he said, hearing the elevator ding, letting us know we have arrived on the floor we desired. "So here, what you would do is enter your code to get through your front door"
"Wait so the front door, is directly off the elevator?" I asked, as he entered a code.
"Yes ma'am, you're the only one on this floor" he said. "These are single floor condos"
"Oh okay, I think like that" I said, following behind him, into this nice ass place. "I have a question" I said, as he turned around. "So like, if someones presses the button for the 30th floor, they can just be at my front door?"
He chuckled, "No, you will have to scan your key card on the elevator and it will allow you to select your floor only and if you decided to add a guest, then they will also receive a card"
"Oh okay" i said, nodding my head, as my phone began ringing. I pulled it out my bag seeing it was a number i didn't recognize, already knowing it was Troy. I declined the call, put my phone on silent, before sliding it back into my bag. "Sorry about that" I said, as we enter the living room.
"Okay, so of course this is the living area, which would look great once its furnished" he said. "You have a fire place, and theres already TV mounts built into every room, even the kitchen area."
"These floors are so nice" I said, admiring them.
"Cherrywood, some of the best" he responded as we moved onto the kitchen and dining area. "Here you have the kitchen, with marble counter tops, paired with cherrywood cabinets."
"Oh my god I loveee this" I said, running my hand across the smooth countertop.
"The kitchen is always a resident fave" he said laughing. "Lets go see the rest of the house"
After showing all that this condo had to give, I was completely in love and knew that I didn't need to search anymore. Of course this place a bit pricey but nothing I couldn't handle, and lets be real I deserved this right now. I just put a spin on "retail therapy", why not invest in a better living situation for myself. Once I was done signing the paperwork and countless agreements, because I had A1 credit, I was immediately approved and would receive my person keys and codes within the next two days.
I rode down the street, blasting "Be Careful" by Cardi B, since the lyrics fit my situation so well at this moment. A lot of people didn't like the song, since it's a little different from what she usually does but that may be why it clung to me so quickly. People don't alway have to be turnt up, for a song to be a hit. My music was interrupted by a call coming through, I grabbed my phone seeing Troy calling again, and once again I ignored it, and turned my music back up. Less than 26 seconds went by and another call came through, I quickly grabbed it without looking "What" I yelled.
"Damn bitch, I was just trynna see if you wanted to come to the shop and chill with me" Lani said through the phone.
I shook my head, "I'm sorry sis, I didn't even look at the phone, I'm driving" I said. "But, yeah i'm actually not too far from there now" I said, stopping at a red light.
"Well come through sis, I got some new products that I want you try out"
I chuckled, "Oh so bitch you want me to be your test dummy?"
"Well Ash coming too" she said laughing. "At least you won't be alone"
"Whatever, I'm on my way" I said, pulling off, as the light changed green.
"K" she said, ending the call.
I drove for about 10 more minutes, letting the many thoughts roam through my mind, before pulling up to Lani's shop. Before getting out I decided to check Instagram and see what was up...

After scrolling, I locked my phone, before getting out making my way towards the shop. As i crossed the street, I looked up seeing another car pull up and double park. I squinted to see who it was, but since it had tinted windows, I couldn't really tell, so I kept it pushing. About five seconds later the passenger door opened and I saw Ashley getting out, looking guilty as hell.
"Hey sis" she said, walking over to me.
"Umm.. who is that?"
"None of your business, come on" she said, brushing pass me into the shop, as the car pulled off, allowing me to get a glimpse of who was behind the wheel.
I laughed and went into the shop behind her, where Lani was sitting in front of a mirror doing something to her eyebrows. "What you laughing at?" Lani asked.
"Oh nothing" I said, still laughing. "Aye Ash tell Lani who just dropped you off sis"
Lani spun around in the chair, facing us "Who bitch"
Ashley chuckled, "Chy you are a trouble maker I swear" she said. "But it was Izzy..."
"Izzy? okay sis" Lani said, giving her a high five.
"Its not even like that, he just gave me a ride over here" Ash said.
"Yeah, whatever why you try to be sneaky then" I said, laughing.
"Cause I didn't want y'all to act like this" she said. "And please don't tell G" she said, turning towards Lani.
"G already knows... he just waiting for y'all to say something" Lani said, shrugging her shoulders.
"It's nothing to know really, we just chilling" Ash said, sitting in the seat next to Lani. "Just friends"
"Okay sis" Lani said, side eyeing me. "Look at these though" she said, directing our attention to the vanity in front of her.
"Oh shit they're done already?" I asked. "I love these, they looks so fluffy" I said, stroking one of the lashes.
"These are only the samples, i have to tell the company if like these" she said.
"These are bomb sis, i ready to snatch these ones I got on, off" Ashley said, laughing. "I swear you do not be playing when you say you wanna do something."
"Thats cause her ass got the money to just up and do something" I said laughing.
Lani chuckled, "Nah, it's just no point of sitting around, when I want something"
"Well speaking of not sitting around.. guess what I did today" I said, and they both turned in my direction. "I bought a new condo"
"What? where?" Ashley asked.
"Yeah, not too far from here, maybe about 20 minutes or so"
"Aww, i'm kinda glad you're staying here. I be missing you" Lani said. "So i'm guessing this means thats it for you and..."
"I'm done with him.." I said, cutting her off. "There's no need for me to hold onto that" I said, as the shop door opened.
"Hey baby, whatchu doing here?" Lani said, walking over hugging G at the door.
"Came to check on you before I go to the studio" he said, kissing her. "Wassup y'all"he said to me and Ash.
"Hey G" I said.
"What y'all getting into?" he asked.
"Nothing, showing them the lashes and giving them some to try out" Lani said, walking back over.
We all turned our heads towards the door as it opened again, "Aye Lani, can I use the bathroom real quick" Troy said, before looking over in my direction. "I been calling you Chyna" I rolled my eyes, trying to figure out why he was even talking to me, so I just ignored him, and walked off to a seat in the back.
"Here we go" Ashley said, shaking her head.
"So you just not gonna talk to me?" Troy questioned.
"Don't you have to use the bathroom or something... leave me alone" I responded.
"Troy not right now, please" Lani said, grabbing his arm.
"Nah La, she gone have to talk to me.. I ain't going nowhere, and she ain't going nowhere either" he said, walking closer to me.
"G, please get your friend" I said. "I don't eve know why you brung him here"
"I had no idea y'all were here to be honest. " he said. "Aye T come on bro, just leave her alone"
"Fuck that G, she been ignoring my calls and shit like we not ever gone be around each other" Troy said.
"Funny how the shit works huh.. You used to ignore my calls while you were fucking that bitch" I said, rolling my eyes. "Now you wondering what i'm doing.. foh"
"Chyna, you heard what I said.. you not going nowhere" he said, walking closer to me.
"Troy move.. I don't care if we have to be around each other or not.. I'm done with you"
He chuckled, "Aight Chy, play tough"
"T come on bro" G repeated.
"Im going to the bathroom" he said, walking pass me, eyeing me the entire time.
"Y'all mfs crazy" G said, shaking his head.
"That's your friend" Ashley said, laughing.
"Oh you don't wanna say nothing abut friends.." He said, sarcastically. "I keep telling you, you not low"
"Oh my god.. leave me alone" she said laughing.
"For now" he said. "Mama, what time Lay done getting her hair done?" he asked.
"She should almost be done now, imma go get here in a few"
He nodded his head, "I'm about to go get Rell, so we can hit the barber"
"I can't believe my pookie is graduating tomorrow" She said, laughing.
"You know he hate that name" Ashley said.
"I know, thats why I still say it" she said, laughing. "But bitch how you feeling about graduation in two days?"
"I'm ready asf, can't wait to get my piece of paper like y'all bitches" Ashley said.
Troy came walking out of the bathroom, not looking at me this time, but I could tell he was pissed, and I didn't give a fuck. "See y'all" he said, more to Lani and Ashley before walking out the door leaving G.
G shook his head, "I'll see you when you get home" he said, kissing Lani on the forehead. "Y'all be good" he said laughing, as he left out the door.

The Next Day
"Jarell Evans" the lady called, as Rell walked across the stage milly rocking to get his diploma.
"Goo relly" Layla screamed, jumping up and down.
"HEARD JUUUU" G yelled through the crowd, making us and Jarell laugh.
After he received his diploma, we all sat back down as the rest of his class were read off to come received theirs as well. Troy sat about three seats aways from me and the entire time, i kept catching him staring in my face. It was definitely awkward being around him, but i knew we all started off as friends so there was no way to avoid him. I loved Troy but I no longer trusted him, nor did I want t be with him, and I just wanted him to understand that. He did me wrong, and I didn't even wanna hear his sorry ass apologies, he could kept them shits.
Because a lot of people expected G to be at this event, he made sure to have security so that it wouldn't get too crazy. A lot of his fans knew that Rell went here, and they knew Rell was like his son so they knew he wouldn't miss this. We waited in the section security had for us, as multiple people came up asking for pictures. G only took pictures with a few people before he started to say no, since today was about Rell.
"You ole graduating ass nigga" G said, dapping Rell, as he approached us.
"Niggas ain't graduating like me nowadays" Rell said, doing some crazy as dance.
"Congrats Relly" i said, pinching his cheek a little.
"Thanks Chy, my milly was super sturdy up there wasn't it" he said, doing it again.
"You just can't stop dancing" Ashley said, laughing.
"Nah i'm lit for the next two weeks" he said laughing.
"Congrats bae" Breah said, hugging him.
"We lit B" he said, kissing her on the cheek.
"Aww y'all so cute" Lani said, snapping a picture.
After standing around, talking and taking pictures, we finally left and I contemplated about going back to G and Lani's house since Troy would be there too, but since it was for Rell I went. I pulled up in front off the house behind everybody else, seeing a new car in the driveway, already figuring out what they did.
"Oh shit, nah fr?" Rell said, hopping out the car, running over to the new one. "This for me?"
Lani held out the keys, "Whatchu think"
"And it's blue" he said, taking the keys from her.
"This just until the Kia it one getting checked" G said laughing. "Nah, you deserve it boy"
"The only nigga riding around in a blue Bentley" Troy said laughing.
"That's why i'm the sauce god, the sauce provider, the sauce... "
"Aighttttt" Ash said cutting him off. "You start being real extra" she said laughing.
"Sounds like I have a hater right B" he said, pulling her into a side hug. "Ohhh, we out tonight"
"Can i go?" lil G ran over asking.
"Nah, not tonight... but tomorrow, imma take you and Lay somewhere..Aight"
"Sesame place?" he asked.
'Uhh, not gone happen" Rell said laughing. "I meant like to the movies or something"
"Movies are boring" Layla said, folding her arms.
"Well then you can stay your little ass home" he said. "See how that work when you got your own car" he said laughing, hopping in.
"Glad you like this shit, so now you can leave me the hell alone" G said, walking towards the house. "Chef will be over in a hour to cook, until then y'all know where i'll be" he said, before disappearing into the house.
"He about to be high as hell" Ashley said laughing.
"Facts" Rell said, as Izzy's car pulled up.
He parked and hopped out, walking over towards us "Wassgood y'all"
"Hey Izzy" Lani said, as we both side eyed Ash.
"Hey" I responded. "Ash you not gone speak to Izzy"
She busted out laughing, "Can you give me a chance" she said, rolling her eyes. "Hey Izzy"
He shook his head laughing a little, "Y'all a trip"
"Mhm" me and Lani said at the same time, making him laugh and walk off into the house.
"Y'all get on my nerves" Ashley said laughing, pushing us.
For the rest of the day, we all just sat around, talked and ate. I tried my hardest to stay away from Troy while we were both here. Of course that was too difficult, since we all sat at the dinner table together. It made me wonder how I was gonna get through this situation constantly having to be around him. My week of seeing him wasn't even over yet, since Ashley graduation was tomorrow, it would be a replay of today.
Since Rell had a new car and wanted to celebrate his and Breah graduation, they went out to one of his friends graduation party, while i chilled with Lani and Ash, drinking wine. I couldn't wait for Monday, which would be the day I move into my new place, which would also be my fresh start... something that I needed.
