I wake up and the first thing I notice is the stars in the sky. We're still out here? I check the time on my phone and it says 2:37 AM. We should really get back to the hotel.
I roll over and try waking up Xander.
"Xander, babe wake up." I whisper. He moves around for a bit but still doesn't get up.
"Come on Xander, wake up." He moves a little more and mumbles,"five more minutes please." Then he goes still again.
"Okay. No more kisses for you," I say.
He shoots straight up, "No, I'm up." He gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
"Hi," I say.
"Hi, what time is it?" Xander asks.
I grab my phone to see how much time has past since I last checked.
"It's 2:40 AM," I say answering his question.
"We should wake up those two and get back to the hotel,"Xander says.
I agree but I don't won't to leave just yet.
I crawl into his lap and put my head in the crook of his neck.
"Not just yet," I mumble. I want to stay in this moment right here. It's perfect.
"Do you know how much I love you Isabelle?"
I think about this for a bit. I knew he loved me but I never knew how much he did.
"A lot I'm guessing," that seems like the most reasonable answer at the moment.
"More then a lot, a ton times a gazillion. Your it for me Isabelle," he kisses me on the head.
"Your it for me too Xander."
At this moment I fall back to sleep cuddled in the man I love's lap if only to pretend it's just the two of us in this world for a few more hours.
