Chaeyeon was sitting behind the nurse in the ambulance as the nurse was pushing the air into Mrs. Min's lungs. Chaeyeon held onto her mother's left hand as she leans on it, praying for her to be okay.

Yoongi broke the eye contact as he turns around, while Jungkook also did the same. Before Jungkook could walk away to his car, Yoongi quickly turned back around and harshly grabbed onto his arm, turning him around, and swing his fist right across his jaw.
"Yoongi!" - Aunt Jiyoung
Aunt Jiyoung gasps in shock as Jungkook touches his jaw and looked back at Yoongi. Yoongi then pointed his finger at him in anger.
"You have no right to talk to me like that. You may have the higher status but I am still older than you. Respect that." - Yoongi
Jungkook scoffed.
"Well then ... I guess you can't choose the decisions for me either. Respect that." - Jungkook
Jungkook said it in a sarcastic way as Yoongi shook his head.
"I'm not the one choosing for you, Jungkook. Chaeyeon is. I'm just doing what she asked me to do." - Yoongi
Jungkook got quiet when he heard her name. Aunt Jiyoung then walked up to him.
"Chaeyeon is doing what she thinks is best for her and for you." - Aunt Jiyoung
Jungkook looked up at her.
"But what if what she's doing is harming us instead?" - Jungkook
Aunt Jiyoung sighed.
"She's only letting me go because she thinks that history will repeat again. She's scared that I'll leave her in the future but I'm not and will never do that." - Jungkook
Aunt Jiyoung and Yoongi then exchange glances at one another.
"Please. Let me go and see her. I need her in my life. Without her, I'm just ... nothing." - Jungkook
Yoongi sighs as he darts his eyes around, thinking of what to do.
"I want Chaeyeon to be happy, to smile like the past few months. Are you really that confident to make sure Chaeyeon continues to smile without overthinking that one day you'll leave her?" - Yoongi
Jungkook nods his head.
"I'm 100% confident that I'll make her the happiest person in this world. I'll love her to the point where she would feel no emptiness .. no darkness to be drowned in." - Jungkook
Yoongi sighed once again.
"Fine. I'll let you go see her ... but only if you can change her mind in time." - Yoongi
Jungkook frowned in confusion.
"What do you mean? I thought you guys are just moving to a different house." - Jungkook
"For now, we're staying in a rented house. This weekend, we're leaving Seoul ... for good." - Yoongi
Jungkook's expression went blank as he couldn't imagine his life without her in it. Yoongi walked up to him and patted his shoulder.
"You have two days to convince her to stay or else I can't help you. It's on you to make sure that she stays, not us." - Yoongi
Jungkook wasn't sure if two days was enough for him to convince her but he'll try anything to make sure that she stays. He would even shot himself to make her stay and take care of him. Jungkook nodded his head as Yoongi and Aunt Jiyoung gave him a smile.

Mrs. Min was sleeping as the doctor's words were ringing in Chaeyeon's head.
FLASHBACK
The doctor came out from the ER as Chaeyeon walks up to him.
"How's my mom?" - Chaeyeon
"Your mom is safe now." - Doctor
Chaeyeon sigh in relief.
"But .." - Doctor
Chaeyeon then stopped smiling in relief as her attention was on him.
"When your mother was being brought in, she hit her head somewhere in the bathroom that caused her head to lose a lot of blood." - Doctor
"Wha-What are you trying to say, doctor?" - Chaeyeon
"The injury on your mother's head was too deep. I may have stitched the wound up but the injury affected the brain badly." - Doctor
Chaeyeon stayed silent as she balled up her hand into a fist with anxious for the next news.
"I don't know if your mother is ever going to wake up again." - Doctor
Everything around Chaeyeon suddenly stopped moving as the words went through her ears and went back out ... being in denial.
FLASHBACK END
Tears then trekked down from her eyes as she quickly wipes them away while the door opened up, in coming Aunt Jiyoung and Yoongi. Chaeyeon stood up to greet them but stopped midway when she saw someone familiar behind Yoongi. He came right in front of Yoongi as Chaeyeon's eyes widen.
"Jun-Jungkook? What are you doing here?" - Chaeyeon
"I came to convince you to stay in Seoul." - Jungkook
Chaeyeon then walked up to Jungkook and grabbed him by his arm as she drags him away from the room and into the hallway. She quickly lets his arm go and turned around to face him. She gave him a blank expression as Jungkook observes her features.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" - Jungkook
"Because ... you're being stubborn at the moment." - Chaeyeon
"And you're not?" - Jungkook
"I'm just doing us a favor ... saving us from the pain in the future." - Chaeyeon
"How are you so sure we're going to go through pain instead of happiness in the future?" - Jungkook
"Because of what happened in the past." - Chaeyeon
"Past is the past, Chaeyeon. We need to focus on the present." - Jungkook
"That's what everybody kept on saying Jungkook. They kept on saying to leave the past in the past, but how could we do that when the past was part of our lives? When the past was part of our memories?" - Chaeyeon
"I know that the past can't be erased or fixed ... but at least give the present a chance to make it up for what happened in the past." - Jungkook
"How can we do that when all we felt is pain ... worriedness?" - Chaeyeon
Jungkook then walked up to her and held onto both of her hands. When he felt her cold hands, he quickly tries to make them warm again by rubbing his hands against hers. Chaeyeon's eyes softens at his action as she watches his every move.
Both of them stayed in silent as Jungkook continues to make her hands warm. Whenever Chaeyeon tries to take her hands away, Jungkook held his grip tighter to make sure her hands stays in placed.
When Jungkook noticed that her hands were warm again, he gently lossen his tight grip and softly held onto her hands.
"I love you Chaeyeon and this time I'm not hesitating to say it." - Jungkook
Chaeyeon arched her eyebrows as she looks at him.
"That won't change anything Jungkook. You're getting married with RyuJin next month." - Chaeyeon
"We're not getting married." - Jungkook
Chaeyeon was now confused.
"What are you talking about?" - Chaeyeon
Jungkook then caressed her cheek as he eyed her with his soft eyes.
"The only woman that I'm willing to marry is you. No one is ever going to take your place." - Jungkook
Chaeyeon eyes softens as his words softly echos in her ears. Before she knew it, she already felt his soft lips pressed against hers.
